As soon as the snow melted, our youth immediately went to training camps in Voronezh. It’s almost summer there: the track is dry, sandy in places. There is no snow, no mud either. Grace!

Our hope in motocross is with a coach.

Everyone celebrated the New Year and it’s time to go into battle. The riders of our club showed up for one of the first races of the winter season of 2022 - “Open mass sports event in motocross for the Winter Cup “Red Wings” of the Municipal Budgetary Institution Secondary School “Zubrenok” of the Serpukhov region.”

Applications were accepted for 2 types of competitions - motocross (races lasting 15-20 minutes) and country cross (one race 1 hour 10 minutes). But according to the judges’ decision, the motocross race was made one and for 20 minutes, instead of 15.

A lot of racers from Moscow and the Moscow region came to this race, and there were also guests from Saratov, Voronezh, Valdai, and Kazan. Why not come and compete for a good prize - a mountain bike? And it’s time to get some air after the New Year holidays.

AMK Vnukovo MX team

According to tradition, the “Juniors” started first, where our rider Maxim Vein was, No. 732. Max won the start, but then missed a faster opponent, No. 331, from the Motomasterstvo club. World champions in motocross among juniors were determined on the Russian track

World champions in motocross among juniors were determined on the Russian track

On the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar Territory, on August 13 and 14, the World Junior Motocross Championship took place in the 85 cm3 and 125 cm3 motorcycle classes and the European Open Cup in the 65 cm3 class, held with the support of Yakhnich Motorsport.

The bright and colorful opening ceremony of the competition, which took place in the world-famous children's room, was seen by more than 4,000 children vacationing here, and they will remember this spectacle for a long time. Just like at the opening of the Olympic Games, all teams participating in the tournament paraded in front of their young fans, many of whom are the same age as the athletes. The motorcycle racers were greeted with warm applause and, according to Russian tradition, bread and salt.

82 young athletes, aged from 10 to 17 years, from 15 countries of the world came to Russia to participate in the world championship: Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Slovenia, Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, Estonia, Russia, Czech Republic , Netherlands, Japan.

After practice and qualifying races on Saturday, the roar of racing engines did not stop all day on Sunday. Participants in each class had to complete two races and the winner was determined by the sum of two attempts, which minimized the element of chance and made the format of the World Championship as spectacular and interesting as possible, which both spectators in the stands of the sports complex and fans could see with their own eyes motocross live broadcast on the Internet around the world.

The strength of the athletes was tested not only by the track and their opponents, but also by the weather, which varied from light rain to hot southern sun. Not all racers managed to make it to the final starts. Due to injuries received during the qualifications, athletes Danil Zhilkin and Matias Vesterinen, competing in the 85 cm3 class, were unable to take part in them. One of the leaders of the Russian team in the 125 cm3 class, Timur Petrashin, was also forced to miss the final - doctors did not allow the athlete to participate in the races for health reasons.

The first to complete the competition were motocross riders in the 65 cm3 class. A sharp fight unfolded in the second final lap, when one of the race leaders, Russian Alexei Orlov, lost several positions in a collapse at the start. The athlete had to literally fight his way through the opponents' corridor, reducing the gap.

The winners of the European Open Motocross Cup in the 65 cm3 class were:

1st place – #790 Kirill Vorobyov (Russia)

2nd place – #772 Karlis Risulis (Latvia)

3rd place – #747 Alexey Orlov (Russia)

Athletes from the largest 85 cm3 class demonstrated intense competition. The leaders, who were determined after the first race, fought with all their might for positions in the top three. The rest of the riders tried to keep up with them.

The podium at the World Junior Motocross Championship in the 85cc class looks like this:

1st place – #11 Rene Hofer (Austria)

2nd place – #651 Meiko Vettik (Estonia)

3rd place – #710 Maxim Kraev (Russia)

The incredibly hot competition also pleased the fans in the fastest class, 125 cm3, which, in fact, is already an adult class. From the very beginning, no one wanted to give up their advantage to their opponent. Ten athletes crossed the finish line within one second one after another.

The world champions in motocross among juniors in the 125 cm3 class are:

1st place – #93 Yago Geerts (Belgium)

2nd place – #39 Roan Van De Moosdijk (Netherlands)

3rd place – #124 Jakub Teresak (Czech Republic)

The two-day World Championship showed that young Russian athletes are worthy competition to their foreign rivals. Well, next year the World Junior Motocross Championship will be held in Estonia.

The 2022 sports season turned out to be bright and eventful for the Yakhnich Motorsport . A huge number of interesting and exciting competitions took place in different types of motorcycle sports, both in Russia and on the world stage. The second year, together with #yakhnichathlete, showed the success of the program to popularize motorsports in Russia and support talented athletes who worthily represent our country at Russian and international competitions. Our friendly family of athletes has confirmed their skills and active life position many times over the past year. And this is just the beginning! New heights and new victories are ahead!

Motocross competitions are held in the Krasnodar region

The roar of engines, mesmerizing flights and speeds that will take your breath away! All these are motocross competitions, which are currently taking place on the Black Sea coast in the Krasnodar region. Tens of thousands of people gathered to watch the daredevils, who seem to merge with their two-wheeled vehicles as they jump.

Loud, emotional and extreme. Free and qualifying races on one of the best Russian tracks. Length – 1850 meters, natural mountainous terrain. It is here, in the Tuapse region, that both the European Motocross Championship and the MXGP Grand Prix are hosted - this is the highest series of cross-country motorcycle competitions with an engine capacity of up to 450 cubic meters.

The Russian stage is the eighth in the season calendar. A hundred athletes from 27 countries came to the Krasnodar region. Top names - Antonio Cairoli number 222, Clement Desalles - signing autographs for their fans. The Belgian driver is familiar with this track.

“I won the previous Russian stages of the World Motocross Championships. This weekend I will also try to have a successful start, because it’s time for me to take my place on the podium. The season is not the easiest, I injured my knee, but now I’m recovering and will give my all in this race,” said motorcycle racer Clement Desalles.

Four of our riders will compete with these titled athletes at once. These are debutants in the senior class - Artem Guryev and Evgeny Mikhailov and regular participants of the World Championship - Evgeny Bobryshev and Vsevolod Brylyakov.

“A home Grand Prix for any athlete, motorcycle racer, whatever, is something very cool and at the same time very exciting, because there are a lot of fans, family, friends. Responsibility before this stage, of course, increases,” shares motorcycle racer Vsevolod Brylyakov.

“This year is the maximum number. All top racers. United States, Canada, Australia, Japan. All of Europe. We have fulfilled all safety requirements,” said Alexander Dzheus, President of the Russian Motorcycle Federation.

Qualifying races. Based on their results, it will be determined which of the athletes in the main race will start from the most advantageous position. During breaks, fans are given an excursion into the backstage of motocross – the paddock. This area is usually closed to the public. A great opportunity to chat with racing stars and see how mechanics prepare motorcycles for the race. By the way, each athlete has two of them, just in case. Last year, the Russian Grand Prix stage attracted about forty thousand spectators. This time the organizers expect even more. The competition is in full swing. The main races and the fight for the championship title lie ahead.

The Russian team is 4th at the unofficial Olympics in motocross. Only 5 points short of bronze

The Russian national team, competing under the flag of the Motorcycle Federation, completed the 2022 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations with the best result in the entire history of Russian motocross! Having lost only 5 points to the Great Britain team in the sum of three races, the MFR team consisting of Vsevolod Brylyakov , Timur Petrashin and Evgeniy Bobryshev took 4th place!

The track in Mantua, Italy turned out to be very difficult: sticky sand would not pose a big problem for most pilots from 33 countries, but the rain that did not stop all Sunday made the track difficult, slippery and dangerous. A huge number of crashes and collisions, which even the favorites of this unofficial motocross Olympics could not avoid, many breakdowns and falls. However, Russian athletes managed not only to avoid mistakes, but also showed a high level of mastery of racing equipment in such difficult conditions, endurance and the ability to work for the overall result.

Vsevolod BRYLYAKOV (#73, 2nd place in the MXGP class): “We probably did the impossible! 4th place among all countries is very cool! Emotions overflowing, goosebumps! Especially when I went out for the third race.”

Timur PETRASHIN (#74, 5th place in MX2 class): “It was very, very dirty! I was driving and didn’t even know how I was going, I just kept my pace. Thanks to the huge number of fans who simply blew up the phone with messages on social networks!”

Evgeny BOBRYSHEV (#75, 2nd place in OPEN class): “It’s all over, just a stone off my shoulders! I am very pleased, I am simply overwhelmed with emotions! Only 5 points to third place in the world - this is a victory for us!”
