The Stels Viking 600 snowmobile is an improved version of the Stealth 800. Unlike the second option, the updated model is cheaper, but has a more advanced suspension and power unit. The performance of the power plant is quite enough to carry out a wide variety of work. The snowmobile is capable of confidently moving through deep snow, showing excellent speed in open areas, and also towing a sled with a load of more than 300 kg without much effort.

Stels snowmobiles: reviews. "Stealth 600 Viking": reviews and testing
The Stealth Viking 800 snowbike is equipped with a 4-stroke V-shaped gasoline engine, which has significant power and high fuel efficiency. What has changed? What has been added: a bag to the steering wheel; Fixation of the electronic starter wire is installed to protect against vibration and wire grinding; ball-shaped hitch; Installation of the oil tank and fuel pump is not necessary.
Appearance
The design of the model has been completely changed. The hood of the Stels Viking 600 has pleasing smooth lines. It does not have any strange design features, such as indentations and creases - they are not needed on snow machines, since dirt and snow accumulate there.
Dashboard Stels Viking 600
An important advantage of the Viking 600 is the presence of LED headlights. Such optics allow you to operate a snowmobile in conditions with very poor visibility, as they shine just fine. With the low beam on, the driver can see up to 50 meters ahead of him. If the high beam is turned on, visibility in front increases up to 150 meters.
Another feature is the windshield. It does not interfere with the view and does not distort the picture. The curvature of the protection is such that it protects from wind, snow, and rain, which “hit” from the front and threaten the loss of control.
Where can I order and at what price?
You can buy Stels Viking 600 on the official website of the dealer. To order a snowmobile, just call or leave a request on the website. Our specialists are ready to offer convenient payment methods, fast delivery, a wide range of products, and repair services. The cost of the new Stealth 600 model ranges from 300,000 to 340,000 rubles. The cheapest option includes basic equipment, and the most expensive includes additional equipment.
Used models are also offered on the markets at prices ranging from 270,000 to 310,000 rubles. In this case, the cost depends on various criteria: year of manufacture, equipment, condition of the snowmobile, number of kilometers traveled.
Control system
The dashboard is quite sharply angled. This was done on purpose, since this particular location does not allow it to be covered with snow.
Above the dashboard is the so-called glove box, which only holds documents, small books, and, of course, gloves. If necessary, this box can be dismantled.
Video
The driving position in the Stealth 600ST Viking snowmobile is performed at an impeccable level, and from the point of view of organizing the workspace, the machine is no different from the original model. Let's pay attention to the sharply inclined dashboard - this is done in order to avoid glare in bright and sunny weather. At the same time, this arrangement prevents snow from getting on the dashboard. There is a compartment above the instrument panel where you can store gloves, documents and small books. This is a very convenient and practical solution.
From the point of view of handling, the snowmobile in question can be assessed on equal terms with the snowmobile from the “Wolverine” series. In other words, the controllability of the Stealth 600 Viking model is at a high level. Especially for this, the developers installed a durable and durable chassis with an energy-intensive suspension. The standard equipment includes a caterpillar track, the width of which is 600 mm. Ski extensions are also available, the use of which has a positive effect on handling and smoothness. In other words, thanks to them, the classic utilitarian snowmobile Stealth 600 Viking can be compared to the smoothness of an iron. It is possible to remove the extensions, without which maneuverability will not deteriorate at all, nor will the smoothness of the ride.
Later, production of the same snowmobile began, but with a smaller track, the width of which is 500 mm. It turned out that this indicator is also sufficient for excellent handling and high cross-country ability. This means that the 600 mm wide track demonstrates completely unprecedented off-road performance.
Next, let's look at the main differences from the Stealth S600 Viking ST snowmobile. For clarity, let’s pay attention to the options that, unlike the original Stealth s600, are not available on the simplified machine:
- Battery
- A simpler lighting system with halogen headlights (instead of LED).
- Lack of oil pump, oil expansion tank, oil supply hoses. Overall, the number of components that require additional maintenance and costs has been significantly reduced.
- There is no passenger seat, instead of which there is space for storing cargo. This significantly increases the load capacity.
- Also missing are a case, ski extensions and a spare variator belt. All listed components can be purchased for an additional fee.
Engine
Under the hood of the snowmobile there is a compact two-stroke two-cylinder power unit. Each cylinder has a diameter of 74 millimeters and a piston stroke of 66 millimeters. In this case, the working volume is 565 cubes.
The power supply system of this unit is carburetor type. There are a total of two carburetors model VM34 from the manufacturer Mikuni for two cylinders. The rated output power is 39.72 kilowatts or 54 horsepower. For example, the Yamaha VK540 snowmobile has a power of 46 horsepower, but costs significantly more.
Reviews
- Boris, Vorkuta. A good car, much better than the original Viking 600 snowmobile, which costs much more, and only because of the external bells and whistles. For example, there is an LED headlight, so what? Halogen optics also shine well, and you can save money. The equipment consumes 92-grade gasoline, but at high speeds the two-stroke engine is noticeably noisy, although this is a feature of all 2-stroke engines. But the engine makes the most noise at idle, and there are even strong vibrations. As for cross-country ability, the snowmobile pleased me here. Of course, it is not ideal in this regard, but it confidently storms plump and deep snow, albeit with minor breakdowns in the suspension - after all, you still feel that the chassis is more tuned to driving on smooth and compacted roads. Here the Stealth 600ST seems to be in its element. The car does not claim to be the best racing snowmobile, but it is quite capable of active driving and maneuvering.
- Yaroslav, Krasnoyarsk. The Stealth 600ST Viking snowmobile was purchased in 2016 to replace the Buran vehicle. I bought a foreign car that handles better and behaves more steadily when driving fast. A sharp steering wheel is a necessary thing when performing sharp maneuvers in the deep forest, where there are a lot of trees, stones and other obstacles that can be noticed only at the very last moment, and then turn sharply and avoid hitting a rock. I was never able to do this with Buran, but it pleased me with its cross-country ability and high carrying capacity. The Stealth 600ST Viking model is completely different. Yes, you can place additional luggage instead of the passenger seat, but this will not really solve anything. The carrying capacity is enough for me, but controllability is much more important - I want some kind of excitement. There are minor breakdowns - little things. The car is generally reliable, I recommend it to passionate drivers.
- Vasily, Lipetsk. The Stealth 600 ST Viking is an affordable version of the Viking 600 that my friend has. I had a chance to ride it a little, and then I test drove the Stealth 600ST Viking snowmobile. I didn’t notice much of a difference in handling, except perhaps in the smaller number of additional options that are not of decisive importance. The model looks stylish and handles well, and performs well off-road. It’s a pity that the engine is weak, because such a “reactive” chassis requires something more powerful to fully unleash the potential of the steering. And so, it’s quite suitable for a leisurely drive. High-quality but expensive spare parts have to be ordered from abroad, and there is a long wait for them. These can be even the simplest consumables.

Repair and tuning
Unlike the failed Wolverine 800, Viking leaves behind only positive emotions. Of course, breakdowns cannot be avoided; the electric starter, glass fastening, etc. may fail. When purchasing, it is recommended to immediately replace the wind protection; this will help avoid many problems. It’s easy to find spare parts for domestic equipment; you can order parts online or in specialized stores.
The owners who left reviews for the Stealth Viking noted that the device does not require any special tuning. If desired, the model can be repainted or equipped with a cover, new glass, and a sled.

Owner reviews
The Stels 600 Viking snowmobile has quite a large number of different reviews and some of these are:
- I bought a used snowflake with only 40 kilometers on the clock. We can say that the car is practically new. The former owner explained the reason for the urgent sale with the fact that he had a need to go to another country, and technically the car was fully functional. I personally liked the appearance of the VIKING 600. Moderately strict, practical, individual. In terms of “effects,” the engineers had a blast on the new snowmobile dashboard. When you turn on the ignition, the “tidy” doesn’t project a laser show on the floor. The abundance of possible backlights quickly shifts from yellow to red, green and blue. In a word, it's cool! I also liked its performance characteristics; the car is very powerful, reliable and has quite good maneuverability and maneuverability. I haven't noticed any drawbacks yet.
- This season, in the circle of our friends, we rode on the crushed and seeded snow in zero temperatures. It got colder in the evening, but the heated handles did a good job, I even turned it off later. The morning launch is very pleasing, literally with half a poke. It doesn’t go as fast as Wolverine, but it feels like the engine pulls normally. Tomorrow I'll try to turn the variator. On the downside, the heat sink plate bracket in the area of the manual starter burst. I unscrewed it and threw it away, I'll see if it will affect the plastic. Glass makes me happy. It doesn’t blow your hands and doesn’t get into your head. However, if the driver is a little taller, I think you will have to bend down a little. I am comfortable. For a two-stroke engine, it picks up quite normally, although it’s not an 800, it’s more powerful. But for a budget employee it’s a very good option.
