Snowmobile Yamaha RS Venture TF (120 hp) • Snowmobile Yamaha Ventura

The reason for the accelerated expansion of the produced model range of snowmobiles is unlikely to be clear to ordinary buyers, who are only interested in having a pleasant time in the winter season. Hobbyists often favor one specialized model designed for high-speed trail racing, exploring rough terrain, or traveling with family and friends.

?Yamaha? is a world-famous brand that conducts serious activities and has opened its sales offices in Europe, Finland, Scandinavia and, of course, in Russia. This manufacturer supplies its products to customers with a wide variety of needs, regardless of region. If you go to Finland, you can see more than one limited edition Viper snowmobile, but most likely you will see the Yamaha Ventura models.

What position does the snowmobile occupy in the market?

Such a snowmobile may well be considered a competitor to the famous Ski-Doo, rightfully recognized as the leader in this category of vehicles. If, for example, we consider the touring model ACE 900 Expedition, we can determine that the snowmobile is a Yamaha Ventura. MP 2015 is equipped with a smaller and less powerful four-stroke engine, but at the same time it is reliable and durable. This engine is endowed with all the features of the proprietary configuration: smooth start, excellent performance at low speeds, and also a reduced noise level. This motor is installed on utilitarian, tourist, and sports Phazer RTX models.

You can’t expect crazy power from such a motor, but it is quite capable of accelerating a heavy snowmobile with two people and cargo to quite a decent speed. Snowmobile ?Yamaha Ventura? has a center of gravity balanced due to the low location of the engine. This feature gives the unit greater stability when cornering.

The 144-inch Camoplast Ripsaw track is driven by a fuel-injected two-cylinder engine. Height of ridges? 32 mm, and the width of the track? 406 mm. These dimensions contribute to good maneuverability and increased comfort. [ads-pc-1]

Snowmobile Yamaha RS Ventura TF: owner reviews

Good controls, high quality plastic. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that I drove on different types of snow. The snowmobile goes well everywhere, but you need to maintain balance. The turn is instantaneous, convenient in terms of maneuvers. I like it because of its speed and high-quality assembly. Easy to use, the seats are soft and comfortable. The devices are readable. Very easy to maintain. The downside is that the controls are difficult to access and consumables are expensive.

I was on vacation this winter in the Carpathian Mountains with a friend. I was glad when he gave me a Yamaha snowmobile for a week. I had rented such a snowmobile before, so I didn’t refuse the offer. After the first trip I felt all the advantages of this modern technology. The engine provides enormous power, making you experience a frantic drive during the trip. All necessary information is displayed on the display. Plastic skis glide easily across the snow like a speed skater. The comfortable seat was comfortable for both me and the children. Thanks to the improved suspension, the ride was smooth. The engine does not make noise, we could easily hear each other. The snowmobile is stable and easy to control; it easily overcomes snowy sections of the road.

A very useful technique. My jeep doesn't jump through snowdrifts like that. I would like to note the fast acceleration and maneuverability. The main advantage is excellent maneuverability. Fuel consumption is quite economical. It is convenient to ride alone or with a passenger. The only negative I think is the high price. I think that considering the filling, the snowmobile is worth its price.

Yamaha RS Venture TF is a multifunctional touring snowmobile. Great for long trips. It features high power and excellent maneuverability. Convenient to use due to the adjustable seat and handles. The snowmobile is characterized by low noise levels, environmental friendliness and economical fuel consumption. These advantages make it stand out among its competitors.

Technical equipment

Snowmobile ?Yamaha Ventura? not deprived of various amenities. The incredibly comfortable two-seater seating position is one of the best available. The passenger part of the seat is removed and an ordinary luggage rack is installed in its place. A convenient towbar will allow you to tow a loaded sled. All these technical innovations are designed primarily to increase practicality, not comfort. Tall glass will always effectively protect you from headwinds. A convenient toggle switch allows you to switch the finger warmer settings in nine different ways. To reverse, simply press the appropriate button. Snowmobile ?Yamaha Ventura? It starts with a simple turn of the key in the ignition. Changing the oil in such vehicles is carried out without any particular difficulties.

Front of a snowmobile "Yamaha Ventura" the well-known combination of A-shaped elongated levers, presented on Phazer sports units, is installed. This design is controlled by lightweight high-pressure gas shock absorbers made of aluminum, and the suspension travel extends to 206 mm. The designers developed original customizable skis with a forked keel.

The dimensions of the rear suspension have been increased to accommodate 16 by 144 tracks. The shock absorber extends its travel by 312 mm. A test drive shows that the suspension of such snowmobiles performs excellently during operation. Even with multiple passengers, Ventura models excel in cornering and handling rough surfaces.

Reviews

  • Semyon, Tambov. A good car for every day. Has all the advantages of utilitarian snowmobiles. The first time I had the opportunity to ride a Yamaha RS Ventura TF snowmobile was at the Olympic Games in Sochi - then they gave me the opportunity to rent a car. I liked it and eventually decided to buy it. But I saved up for it only after a year - after all, the car costs more than a million rubles. The device is definitely worth the money. It looks stylish, as befits a prestigious car. I liked the aerodynamic windshield, which is located quite high to protect from headwinds. Overall, the design was impressive. The handling was also impressive. The snowmobile is very rigid, but confidently holds its trajectory, even during sharp maneuvering. I was a little upset about the support for 92nd gasoline - after all, it’s better to fill in with 95th fuel, with which the engine feels more dynamic and lively or something. Average fuel consumption per 100 km is approximately 20 liters. In three years of use, the snowmobile has never broken down in a major way.
  • Vasily, Irkutsk. Yamaha RS Ventura EA - the car was purchased in maintained condition, since I would never dare to give a million rubles, because it is just a snowmobile. Yes, it handles well. Yes, it handles deep snowdrifts quite well and can carry two passengers (including me, the driver). And it can also act as a mini-truck, because it has a tow bar to which you can attach a sled along with cargo accessories. But on the other hand, it is completely impractical in the sense that it is a pity to load such a snowmobile to the fullest. After all, there is a fear that a breakdown will occur (after all, I have a supported option), and then I will have to prepare a large sum of money for the next repair, and then another, and another repair. Therefore, I drive the car exclusively on well-established and smooth roads, and almost never drive deep into the forest.
  • Yaroslav, Vorkuta. Yamaha RS Ventura TF is not a cheap pleasure, but I was lucky enough to become the owner of this car thanks to a big discount. At the end of 2022, a local store was selling out the remaining batch of snowmobiles of the same name. They sold out quickly, and I made it too. The device cost me 900 thousand rubles. With basic options - heated steering wheel and grips for the operator and passenger, electric starter, high-capacity battery, as well as a high windshield and other modifications. I won’t say anything bad about the device, because it’s a Yamaha, and that says it all. The only thing that worried me before purchasing was the expensive service, even despite the developed dealer network in our country. You need to buy only original spare parts, and Chinese fakes are not sold here. You also need to fill in original consumables, preferably refuel with 95-grade gasoline. But I screwed everything in and fill it with 92nd. Over the three years of operation, there were minor problems with the chassis - the weight distribution of the tracks was disrupted, and the skis were also skewed. This happened after hitting a large stone hidden under a deep snowdrift - since then I’ve been trying to be more careful. But at the same time, I did not expect the suspension to be so fragile.

Comfort

This car is comfortable for the driver to sit on. As for the passenger, if the person is large, he is unlikely to feel comfortable in the back. However, if the passenger is small in size, then the driving experience will be quite comfortable. There is a seat back and a container at the back, and armrests at the sides.

The windshield is high to protect the driver's eyes. However, safety glasses will not be superfluous, because when there is an abundance of dust in the air flow, it sometimes gets in from somewhere on the side (taking into account the wind). Of course, this bike is not distinguished by maneuverability and cannot compare in this indicator with either a cross-country motorcycle, or a sport bike, or with road motorcycles.

RSVenture TF

Driving a snowmobile has become much more convenient thanks to the EPS system. The new development was liked by everyone who managed to try it in action. The electric power steering, together with the design features of the front suspension, ensures softness and ease of control. This is not an ordinary Yamaha Ventura tracked snowmobile, but a full-fledged sports unit. [ads-pc-3]

Engine

The Yamaha RS Ventura TF snowmobile is equipped with a four-stroke three-cylinder engine, which has proven itself worthy in terms of dynamics, acceleration, efficiency and maximum speed. This power plant is considered the best in the segment of utilitarian and touring snowmobiles, which includes the Yamaha RS Ventura TF. The 120 horsepower engine demonstrates a large margin of strength and torque, which is enough to overcome any obstacles, including deep snowdrifts. The unit has a working volume of 1 liter. Please note that the power plant belongs to the Genesis 120 engine family, which is widely used in all modern Yamaha snowmobiles. The main advantages of this engine are excellent traction, environmental friendliness, smooth and confident acceleration and low fuel consumption. A large fuel tank with a volume of 38 liters ensures the ability to travel long distances without fear of running out of fuel. And if necessary, you can take a fuel canister with you, which will fit in the trunk under the driver’s seat. The manufacturer recommends filling the engine with gasoline with an octane rating of at least AI-92. The engine is started by an electric starter, which is a worthy replacement for a manual starter. It instantly starts the engine even in frosty weather, but as a last resort, the developer has equipped the car with a manual starter.

Venture 700

The model is equipped with a two-stroke three-cylinder engine with a liquid cooling system and a volume of 698 cm3. The front suspension has 229 strokes, and the rear suspension has ? 295 mm. The manufacturer recommends using Yamalube 2s oil.

Dimensions:

  • length ? 2990;
  • width ? 1200;
  • height ? 1330 mm.

The simplicity and accessibility of a luxurious country holiday in winter weather is ensured thanks to the streamlined shape of the windshield, the presence of convenient rear-view mirrors, a comfortable seat, an electric starter and a reverse gear shift system. Combined with heated grips for both passenger and driver, adjustable backrest, 45L tank capacity, 136-inch tracks and adjustable suspension, this is a ride that can truly make an impression on anyone.

Rating and cost

The rating, according to user reviews, is 9.9/10. The cost of the snowmobile is 1,339,000 rubles. Of course, such a snowmobile cannot be called budget.

There are also cheaper cars, for example, the Russian-made Taiga Varyag 500 snowmobile. Its cost is 309,000 rubles. But, according to reviews from fishermen and hunters, this snowmobile, which is the cheapest in Russia, is not reliable. It may fail somewhere among forests and fields, in the vastness of a reservoir.

In addition, if we talk about residents of Volga villages, they often do not need a luxury car. They can get by with an old Moskvichon or Lada to get to the village store in the neighboring village, attaching chains to the wheels during off-road periods. Yes, they go on foot. But on the snowy Volga-reservoir they cannot do without a reliable vehicle for moving on the ice. The Volga is their breadwinner. And here you already need a good car.

Additional body kit

Today it will not be difficult to find additional components, oil and many other necessary devices on the market. The equipment will remain in good condition longer thanks to such accessories. Rotators are considered one of the most useful devices. With their help, any Yamaha Ventura snowmobile? can be moved without much difficulty.

Changing the oil, for example, is made easier if the snowmobile is equipped with small racks for storing various things that may be needed on the road. For the manufacture of such accessories, only high-quality materials are used. Special pads help protect skis from various deformations. The duration of engine operation will always depend on the size of the belts for the variator. Snowmobile ?Yamaha Ventura? can quickly become unusable if you underestimate the importance of such accessories.

For high-quality engine operation, manufacturers recommend selecting the appropriate oil. You can also install non-original spare parts on snowmobiles that are similar in their functional characteristics. Snowmobile ?Yamaha Ventura? You can always repair it in a garage or company showroom, where a complete list of all necessary components is available.

The Yamaha Venture Multi Purpose snowmobile is another product of the Japanese company, which entered the world market only this year and has already managed to acquire a considerable number of fans. It is almost impossible to find negative reviews about this car. As the name of the snowmobile suggests, it is a multifunctional machine.

Repair and tuning

It is impossible to complain about the design and technical characteristics of the Ventura model. The Japanese manufacturer gave it 100%, so no tuning is needed. But repairs and technical inspections of the machine must be performed regularly.

Every season you should check the spark plugs, tighten the tracks, change the slippers, inspect the skis, etc. The cost of spare parts will also be an unpleasant surprise for owners. A repair kit will cost 5 thousand rubles, a new set of skis will cost 10 thousand rubles. The cheapest track for a Yamaha Ventura costs 25-30 thousand rubles.

Model features

The Yamaha Venture Multi Purpose Snowmobile is a versatile utility snowmobile that is reliable and powerful, with comfortable grab handles and a large rear deck. This is an ideal unit for transporting goods in any weather and on any surface, even through deep snowdrifts, even along a compacted road.

With 80 horsepower, the Venture Multi Purpose snowmobile is capable of solving problems of varying levels of complexity. You can use this snowmobile to get adrenaline, because riding with the wind at a speed of 80-90 kilometers per hour is an excellent opportunity to get thrills. This model is also suitable for transporting cargo and towing other snowmobiles or trailed sleds.

Available analogues of the Lynx snowmobile

One of the analogues of equipment from the Japanese manufacturer is the BRP Lynx snowmobiles. They are designed for prolonged use and operation at extreme sub-zero temperatures. In any conditions they demonstrate reliability and practicality. The model range is distinguished by high-quality assembly, high power and the ability to maneuver.

The cost of Links snowmobiles starts from 940,000 rubles. The following series are in greatest demand:

seriescharacteristics
Ravesuitable for fast driving, equipped with a good tracked base and a 164 hp engine.
Commanderwill perform well during leisurely driving on snowy terrain, the wide track and high lugs provide excellent cross-country ability
Ranger 69 BPRThe wide track and powerful engine allow the snowmobile to be used for different purposes; the model is universal

The basis of Lynx snowmobiles is steel, which allows them to be used not only for recreation, but also for transporting large loads. The vehicles of this brand are equipped with a two-speed gearbox, an electronic fuel injection system, a high-quality hydraulic braking system, comfortable seats and other functions.

Specifications

The Genesis Sport Performance engine (500 cc, four-stroke, two-cylinder) installed on the snowmobile has a high degree of efficiency and very low emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere. With a dry weight of only 268 kilograms, and with such an engine, this snowmobile is simply a model of dynamism and speed.

cooling is liquid.

Fuel tank - 36 liters.

rear suspension - ProComfort 144 - is an ideal solution for long trips. It very effectively smoothes out any unevenness when driving on difficult roads or off-road.

The front suspension is made on double wishbones.

In the event of a breakdown (an extremely unlikely event, but the zealous Japanese still took it into account), the snowmobile is very easy to repair right on the spot and on your own - removable fairing panels allow you to instantly get to the engine and transmission elements.

The folding passenger seat gives you the opportunity to choose whether to carry a passenger or create a spacious cargo platform that can be used to transport fairly large loads.

Handling Yamaha Venture TFf LE

You may not believe how easy it is to handle, but one of the benefits of this sled is its Electric Power Steering (EPS). At low speeds, EPS helps you navigate through wind and dense trees. The higher the speed, the less effect the electric booster has. The EPS construction is injection molded for strength and torsional rigidity. This system reduces driver fatigue, and even short and lightweight drivers will find the snowmobile very easy to control. If you've never ridden an EPS snowmobile, be sure to visit your local Yamaha dealer and take one for a test drive.

It's amazing how much more enjoyable your day in the snow is with this element.

The sled is also easy to handle thanks to its double A-arm front suspension. It “goes” 216 mm thanks to KYB high-pressure gas shock absorbers. The snowmobile is also equipped with Yamaha's exclusive Tuner skis, which are always positioned strictly straight, even on rutted trails.

Driver and passenger comfort is ensured by the extended ProComfort rear suspension. The folding rear guide allows you to move in reverse without burying yourself deep in the snow, as well as easily overcome hilly terrain and even drive through abandoned branches and tree limbs, and so on. As with the front suspension, the manufacturer equipped the rear of the TF with high-pressure KYB gas shock absorbers, providing 350 mm of vertical travel.

The TF takes the best from the Yamaha Royal Star: the shape, feel and style of a cruiser. The seat has plenty of room for both driver and passenger. Although the passenger sits slightly higher than the driver to see the road, cold winter winds are kept at bay by the huge windshield, and the intricate design of the hood and side panels directs cold air away from travelers. The passenger will be even more comfortable thanks to the rear backrest, and when the driver goes on a trip alone, he can rearrange the backrest to his part of the seat.

Standard features:

• electric starter; • reverse (push-button activation); • heated steering wheel grips and accelerator lever (heating temperature is adjustable); • multifunctional dashboard; • powerful front bumper; • headlight with 2 halogen lamps (60/55 W); • DC socket; • large windshield.

Dimensions:

• length: 3.15 m; • width: 1.23 m; • distance between ski centers: 1.08 m; • Camoplast Ripsaw track: width 40.6 cm; length 3.66 m; lugs 32 mm; • weight: 268 kg.

Prices for the Yamaha Venture Multi Purpose snowmobile start at 390 thousand rubles.

What makes the Yamaha Venture TF LE different from others?

The Yamaha Venture TF LE snowmobile is a completely new model in the 2016 lineup. What makes this snowmobile different from others? The famous 1049 cc mid-performance Yamaha Genesis 120 FI engine is now more focused on trail riding. This newest version of the three-cylinder engine gains six horsepower and improves fuel consumption by 5% compared to the old carbureted version that still powers the base Venture model. Additionally, for the new 2016 model year, the TF gains Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCCT) technology, often referred to as motorized throttle.

In order to equip the sled with the YCCT, some changes were necessary, as a result the throttle is more precise and the throttle is no longer required to exert as much force as before. You will especially appreciate these changes on long trips. In addition, thanks to YCCT, Yamaha designers were able to equip the Venture TF with three engine operating modes, ranging from the sportier S, which maintains revs for a long time, and ending with the economical E, which limits the speed and acceleration force. It can be assumed that most long-distance riders will prefer touring mode T. It is best suited for spending a lot of time in the saddle. In this mode, the snowmobile starts off very smoothly and works well in the mid-speed range. This unit replicates the system introduced by Ski-Doo in their ACE engines. The main difference is that with the Yamaha you cannot switch from mode to mode on the fly, you have to stop to do this.

But even so, we really like the upgrades that the engine has undergone, they have significantly affected the performance, now the snowmobile has become more touring, so to speak. Operation in the high speed range has remained almost unchanged, but in the low and medium speed range, improvements are noticeable, as they say, with the naked eye.

As for the inclusion of the Performance Damper as standard, in our case this is a lost cause. The system appears to work on vehicles that are used on permanent surfaces such as asphalt, but the very nature of snow means the track is constantly changing. We take Performance Damper technology as an idea. In fact, we even had to use it in cars to strengthen the chassis a few years ago. But all the damper-equipped sleds we've tested haven't benefited from it, one way or another.

Here's how Yamaha representatives explain it:

Performance Damper is designed to improve chassis performance by reducing unwanted vibration and sway. Performance Damper traps unwanted energy entering the chassis, resulting in a more stable sled at high speeds and on rutted, bumpy, twisty trails.

We'd probably agree with Yamaha, we just don't see the practical action.

We also agree that this new 2016 Venture TF LE is great for exploring and touring, and is a well-built, stylish and enjoyable touring sled. Any rider looking to purchase a complete touring snowmobile should consider purchasing this Yamaha model.
