Announcement: Today, for almost every new motorcycle that comes into being, marketers strive to carve out their own niche. This one is a road sport, this one is a recreational enduro. But what class should we include a motorcycle that has a little bit of everything? A good bike should have a reliable engine, comfortable ergonomics and simple controls. Despite the fact that good models of motorcycles have a very respectable price, and the season for their use is relatively short, the motorcycle market is developing rapidly. And if you believe the words of dealers, then some models of recently released motorcycles are selling like hot cakes at the beginning of the season, and the models brought to Russia are clearly not enough to fully satisfy consumer demand.
A motorcycle has long ceased to be an alternative to a car, and the times when this equipment was bought only because there was not enough money for a full-fledged car are forgotten. Nowadays, two-wheelers can be called technological marvels in many cases, and their cost can be compared with that of prestigious cars.
Many people have started buying motorcycles for hobby purposes as riding or even collecting them has become a good pastime for many people. Many motorcycles, for example the Sherco 4.5i Enduro, whose technical characteristics make it possible to call the model a prestigious brand, are in demand among both beginners and experienced motorcyclists.
Motorcycles with an engine capacity of 448 cc. see, appeared as a result of long work of inventors who sought to create a model that was not inferior in characteristics to other versions of the motorcycle. In some cases, these models are not only not inferior, but also ahead of other motorcycles, as they have minimal fuel consumption and other excellent parameters.
Motorcycles with an engine capacity of more than 400 kb. cm, which includes the Sherco 4.5i Enduro - this category of motorcycles simply cannot claim the title of “motorcycle for a beginner.” On the contrary, this is already a serious technique that requires certain control of motorcycle equipment with a smaller engine capacity. Yes, she attracts more attention, she is the most beautiful, fast, interesting and there is a huge selection of models. But as power increases, the weight of the motorcycle inevitably increases. In this class you are unlikely to find motorcycles lighter than 180 kg, unless they are the latest motorcycle models.
Go to the entire range of Sherco motorcycles, on this page you can find Sherco 4.5i Enduro motorcycles from other years of production and information about them

Repair of clutch release levers and front wheel brake drive
On Java motorcycles, it happens that the stop on the clutch release levers and the front wheel brake drive breaks off, which is why they have to be replaced. Since it is not easy to buy new ones, I offer a proven repair method. I cut a groove in the lever, as shown in Fig. 1, using a hacksaw and a file. Then I cut out stop 1 from 4 mm thick steel (Fig. 2) and fit it exactly to the groove. I secure the stop with screw 2 with a countersunk head. To prevent the screw from turning out, I seal its head and shaft at several points. Fig. 1. Groove in the lever. Rice. 2. Installation of the stop: 1 - stop; 2 — MZ screw. L. Elimination of loose brake pedal on an IZh motorcycle with a sidecar
Reliable fastening On IZh motorcycles with a sidecar equipped with a brake, the pedal soon becomes loose. In this case, the order of operation of the brakes of the motorcycle and the trailer is disrupted, which is why the crew skids to the side when braking, especially sharply. In addition, the adjustment of the brake light switch changes. To eliminate this drawback, I turned out axle 9 (see Fig. “b”) and attached the brake pedal to it, drilling a hole in the support plate 2 of the frame to 12 mm. Since then this unit has been working properly. Brake pedal mounting unit: a - factory version; b - revised version; 1 — brake pedal; 2 — frame support plate; 3 — M10 bolt; 4 - bushing; 5 - spring washer; 6 — nut M10; 7 — washer; 8 — M12 nut; 9 - axis. This modification will not hurt those who travel without a stroller. Gorky city GRACHEV 1987N09P33
Repair of the central stand on an IZH motorcycle
On IZH motorcycles, as a result of wear of the stops welded to the frame, the central stand twists and breaks the stops. There is no need to weld them again. since this is quite difficult and not harmless to the frame. Installation of stops on the stand: 1 stand; 2 - stops. I, and then several other IZh owners, welded stops (plates cut from a steel sheet 5 mm thick) to the stand itself, as shown in the figure. For several years now, converted coasters have not given us any trouble. N. MELANKO 330067, Zaporozhye, st. Uchitelskaya, 17a 1976N01P38

“As we know from world history, any dictatorship sooner or later becomes obsolete: the total domination of some over others cannot last forever...
Today, the once powerful Greek intellectuals have turned into ridiculous and lazy European beggars. The formidable Spanish warriors are now famous throughout the world for their wines and jamon, and most of the descendants of the Tatar-Mongols who conquered half the globe still have no idea about the existence of toilet paper and the Internet... In modern realities, few would doubt that the KTM company is one one of the industry leaders in the production of sports off-road motorcycles. Especially with regard to the production of enduro models, of which there are a dozen and a half in the production range of the Austrian concern. And neither the pragmatic and disciplined Japanese nor the small producers of the Old World can resist such a massive commodity pressure. And, frankly speaking, it is quite difficult to keep up with all the technical innovations that are born in abundance in Mattighofen. But, despite the technical and economic power of KTM, other European manufacturers sometimes produce a product that is quite competitive and commands respect for its technical characteristics. And they don’t just show the public a magnificent and provocative exhibition model, but bring their brainchild to full-fledged mass production.
International The potential “KTM killer” - the Sherco company - was born in 1998 in Spain, in the small town of Caldes de Montbuy, where the production and assembly of motorcycles for motorcycle trials was organized. In 2000, in France, in the city of Nimes, the Spaniards opened a new plant, which from the very beginning was focused on the production of sports enduro and supermoto. Today it is a full-fledged enterprise with its own extensive fleet of metalworking machines, assembly shops and finished product warehouses. And the technical development of motorcycles is carried out by the company’s own design department. By the way, unlike many European colleagues in the workshop, Sherco, as well as KTM, manufactures some of the components and mechanisms for its equipment independently. But in our age of international globalization, the final product is a hodgepodge from all over the globe. The engines are our own, but assembled from Japanese components, steel frames are welded by European suppliers, suspensions are German Sachs and Austrian WP, fuel injection systems, protective plastic and brake mechanisms are Italian.
In anticipation of the birth of the flagship enduro with an engine capacity of 450 cm3 in 2015, a very original and interesting motorcycle was assigned to the “senior” model line - the Sherco 300 SEF-R. Which, after its birth, immediately attracted the attention of the entire progressive motorcycle community. Thanks to the Promoto company, I was able to spend the entire summer racing season of 2014 side by side with this French dandy, so that the story about him will be as close as possible to the harsh realities of real, not ostentatious operation, without the ersatzism and hasty assessments required for standard magazine tests. I’ll start, perhaps, with the appearance of this off-road toy, which is still exotic for Russia. Despite the fact that this is almost the first French motorcycle for hard enduro in the history of the country, it is assembled, surprisingly, carefully and with unexpected attention to various very specific details for such a young company. This is the kind of meticulous approach you would expect to see from a manufacturer with a huge off-road history and a serious amount of practical knowledge gained over many years of participation in world-class racing.
A French delicacy But appearance and production quality are, in my opinion, not Sherco’s main trump card. The main advantage of the 300 SEF-R is its weight! The dry weight of the French enduro is 102 kg, which is more typical for traditionally lighter 2-stroke models! Perhaps this is even a record in its class! For example, the closest competitor, the KTM 350 EXC-F, weighs 107.5 kg without fuel... and the Husqvarna FE350 weighs 108.5 kg. You can see for yourself that even taking into account technical fluids, Austrian motorcycles are much heavier. Unfortunately, the French (as well as most manufacturers of off-road motorcycles) do not announce the power of the power plants of their models. According to my subjective feelings, the performance of the 300 SEF-R engine is slightly less than that of the same 350EXC-F engine. But the apparent lack of horsepower is more than compensated by the lighter weight of the device, so I suspect that in terms of power/weight ratio the “French” is unlikely to lose to the “Austrian”.
The 4-stroke 1-cylinder engine with a displacement of 304 cm3 is installed in a frame made of steel chrome-molybdenum pipes. And, according to the manufacturer, it is assembled using Japanese components. The power plant is aggregated with a 6-speed gearbox. A new Synerject fuel injection system with a ⌀ 42 mm diffuser has been installed, thanks to which fuel consumption has decreased, the engine’s response to the movement of the throttle has improved, and the engine braking process has become more predictable. Despite the competition, the 300 SEF-R is equipped with simple and reliable entry-level suspensions from the Austrian company WP, owned by the concern... KTM! However, the most basic modification, the 300 SEF, uses a Sachs fork. The tires are homologated according to FIM rules and do not require replacement to participate in competitions at any level. And even despite the gigantic size of the rear 140th wheel, the steering is so sharp that sometimes you simply can’t believe that you are sitting behind the wheel of a thoroughbred sports enduro, and not a motocross motorcycle!
Real life All summer I trained on the “three hundred” on artificial obstacles left after the now legendary race “Are There Violent?!”, ironed the slopes of the “home” track of the Cannibal Racing enduro group in Zvenigorod, and raced on cross-country tracks. I even rode two stages of the most popular country cross, organized by the XSR Moto company, and took part in the Russian Enduro Motorcycle Championship, which took place in Dmitrov... In general, I learned everything about the test device and even a little more. Due to the sharp fork angle, the Sherco motorcycle has a very short wheelbase. For example, the 2009 Yamaha YZ250F personal motocross bike is several centimeters longer than the French enduro! Therefore, the 300 SEF-R, despite the 140-weight enduro tires, has excellent maneuverability. Cornering control is so sharp that it resembles the behavior of the 2013 Honda CRF250R motocross, famous for its excessive harshness. Of course, the motorcycle is not suitable for full-fledged motocross, but country, forest enduro and hard freeride are definitely its element!
A misleading impression may be created about the imaginary softness and complacency of the engine’s character. But once you start moving your left foot more often and shifting gears correctly and in a timely manner, the 300 SEF-R transforms! Accelerating quickly, the motorcycle does not exhaust the rider with its harshness and nervousness, as, for example, some competing models. And in the upper speed range, the engine completely wakes up, preventing either the novice “teapot” or the seasoned professional from getting bored. Due to the peculiarities of the chassis geometry and small wheelbase, the Sherco has practically no equal during high-speed rides along winding forest or mountain paths. Its lightness and ease of maneuvering put it on par with the best 2-stroke models. The only inconvenience that you experience from the short length of the motorcycle is when storming steep, almost vertical climbs, where, thanks to the ultra-small base, the 300 SEF-R tends to tip over backwards. But such cases are extremely rare, but otherwise the motorcycle is simply magnificent! The Sherco lived in my hands for about 60 hours, and during this time no major problems occurred with it. Everything that broke, fell off or unscrewed happened during fairly serious falls, and not a single component of the motorcycle died of natural causes.
Of course, I won’t say that the 300 SEF-R turned out to be almost perfect, and, of course, the model also has its shortcomings. The fragile and unreliable running boards are very embarrassing, the radiators of the cooling system shamelessly sticking out to the sides (purchasing protection for which is simply mandatory) and the femininely fragile and “fragile” protective plastic suffer greatly. What really gets tiring is the fasteners constantly unscrewing all over the motorcycle and the lack of a kickstarter lever even as an option. The rather high retail price of the new product is also striking... Despite all the shortcomings that can be considered growing pains, the motorcycle made a revolutionary splash in the world of sports enduro. Now the legendary David Knight is on the Sherco factory team, and in the Red Bull Romaniacs heavyweight race, several dozen people chose the new combat Sherco 300 SEF-R over the motorcycles of the Austrian giant. And if the French have enough desire, financial capabilities and healthy engineering enthusiasm, over time Sherco will easily compete with its main opponent in the person of KTM and Husqvarna.
Racer Enduro 150 motocross motorcycle is a good choice for beginners
Racer Enduro is a line of off-road motorcycles. Model 150 is the youngest. Thanks to its optimal parameters and powerful performance, this motorcycle has won the love of teenage racers and novice motorcycle enthusiasts. It overcomes off-road conditions with dignity, and also dashes dashingly along an asphalt road. Equipped with everything you need and at the same time compact.
Specifications
Although this particular model is not so popular among motorcycle racers, those who are familiar with it say that this enduro is clearly underrated. However, you shouldn’t expect anything super-powerful from him either.
The main technical parameters of Racer Enduro 150 are as follows:
Engine | 4 bars, Racer |
Engine capacity | 148 cu. cm |
Power | 10.2 horsepower |
Maximum overclocking | up to 95 km/h |
Gas tank volume | 5 liters |
Gasoline consumption per 100 km | 2.2 liters |
Battery | 12 V, 6.5 Ah |
Motorcycle weight | 99 kg |
Motorcycle length | 189 cm |
Width | 79 cm |
The motorcycle is equipped with a Japanese-made carburetor. Control is carried out by a five-speed manual gearbox. The device starts in two ways: with a claw or with an electric starter.
The engine is weak even for enduro, but some owners of the motorcycle managed to accelerate it to 120 km/h. Anyone who wants to buy a powerful motorcycle for a small amount of money can upgrade the Enduro 150 by equipping it with a stronger engine.
The instrument panel is electromechanical and contains the following information:
- revolution table;
- tank volume indicator;
- speed sensor;
- current gear and rpm.
This panel is convenient for long journeys. At the same time, you can ride either light or with a motorcycle loaded up to 140 kg. The trip is only possible for one person.
The front suspension is telescopic, and the rear shock absorber is hydraulic.
The exterior design of the Racer Enduro 150 is made in the harsh style of the Land of the Rising Sun. The main body colors are green, orange, gray and brown. The lightness and maneuverability of the motorcycle is evidenced by its appearance: the steering wheel is low, the wheels are spoked with deep tread, allowing you to easily drive over bumps and holes without losing control of the motorcycle. Tires for the Racer Enduro 150 are sourced from Taiwan.
When traveling long distances, you can hang additional trunks and boxes. For this purpose, additional fastenings are provided. There is a small luggage compartment under the seat.
What is it suitable for, where is it used?
The cross-country Enduro 150 can be called a universal type. It will be a great bike for a beginner. It is on it and similar models that it is convenient to learn balance, control and maneuverability on the roads.
The motorcycle is capable of performing the functions of a motocross unit. Therefore, it is also preferred by beginners and experienced motocross participants. On Enduro it is easy to overcome off-road tracks, as well as perform various tricks when jumping on springboards. Unlike true cross-country motorcycles, this Enduro is designed to overcome not closed tracks, but long stretches of road with a complete absence of roads.
The Racer Enduro 150 handles easily on paved trails. It is convenient to use as a vehicle for travel; moreover, its dimensions allow you to load an additional 50 kg (excluding the weight of the motorcyclist), and low fuel consumption will make the trip economical.
Racer Enduro 150 is more suitable for short people. Tall motorcyclists will find it uncomfortable to ride it over long distances.
Advantages and disadvantages of a motorcycle
Before purchasing the Racer Enduro 150, you should weigh the pros and cons. The following facts speak in favor of the purchase:
- attractive price of 78,700 rubles;
- low cost and simple maintenance;
- budget cost of parts;
- good build quality;
- maneuverability and good handling on the road with any surface.
This model of cross-country motorcycle does not have many disadvantages, but they do exist:
- single-seat seating (although this is typical and convenient for enduro);
- Compared to models in a higher price category, the quality of the Enduro 150 is clearly “lame”.
The first batch of these enduros turned out to be of completely poor quality. The company was experiencing financial difficulties, and therefore there were total savings on parts. The only thing that did not cause negativity was the powerful engine, which was copied from the Honda SL-230 motorcycle. Subsequently, all the shortcomings were eliminated by the manufacturer, but it was not possible to regain the trust of customers.

This Racer Enduro 150 can be found on the market for an amount ranging from 50-70 thousand rubles. When resold, its value is significantly reduced.
Similar models
Racer Enduro 150 is far from the only model of motocross motorcycles in the budget price segment. If its technical characteristics do not inspire confidence, you can take a closer look at similar models:
- MOTOLAND 250 ENDURO (TD250-D) is a representative of cross-country vehicles costing 97,000 rubles. Its technical equipment is somewhat different from the Enduro 150: the engine capacity is 250 cc. m, four-stroke engine and five-speed gearbox. The braking system consists of front and rear hydraulic disc brakes. Mono-shock absorption installed. A power of 16 horsepower allows you to reach speeds of up to 120 km/h and overcome both flat roads and off-road conditions. The weight of Motoland 250 is 125 kg, but additional equipment up to 180 kg is allowed. This is the perfect two-wheeler for the budding motorcycle racer.
- R acer TIGER RC150-23 is a good budget enduro worth 73,000 rubles. In addition to the affordable price, it has a number of advantages: enhanced rear shock absorption, front disc brake, low fuel consumption, engine starting via electric starter. The 4-stroke engine is air-cooled and has a displacement of 149 cc. m and a power of 11.2 horsepower. This motorcycle is not designed for off-road use, but it can easily overcome asphalt highways.
- R acer RANGER RC200-GY8 worth 83,400 rubles. The unit attracts with its sporty, daring design, is equipped with a powerful motor and has decent technical characteristics. A pleasant difference between this device and the Racer Enduro 150 is the presence of a leather seat for the passenger. Thanks to the presence of places for attaching boxes and trunks, it is convenient to travel long distances. The technical characteristics are as follows: 4 strokes, engine capacity 200 cc. cm, power 14.3 horsepower.
The Racer Enduro 150 cross-country motorcycle is now actively selling and is in great demand among young beginner motorcyclists. It perfectly fulfills the role of the first motorcycle, on which you can not only learn to ride on any roads, but also save on repairs, since replacing parts is cheap.
Review of enduro motorcycles. And let the asphalt wait
Light enduros, and other motorcycles in Russia, are mainly bought used, but, as with road motorcycles, the share of new vehicles is gradually increasing. Let's talk about the new and most interesting models of off-road motorcycles officially sold in our country.
B.S.E.
The Chinese company BSE sells us mainly pit bikes (small motocross motorcycles with a small engine and a horizontal CPG; read a review of pit bikes in one of the upcoming issues of “5 Wheels”). But it also has models that can be classified as enduro.
J1‑250E and J2‑250E are identical externally and internally: equipped with a carburetor 4-stroke air-cooled engine with a power of 17 hp. With. and differ only in wheel size. J5‑250E is a more serious model. It has a water-cooled motor with a capacity of 27 hp. With.
HONDA
This Japanese concern believes that one enduro model is enough for Russia - the CRF250X. No cult XR or at least other cubic capacity for you... Well, at least something.
The CRF250X is a “civilian” version of the cross-country CRF250R: a little softer, calmer, “understanding” - but only a little. With electric starter and lighting devices. The 4-stroke and cubic capacity seem to hint that the CRF250X can be taken as the first enduro motorcycle and ridden on it up to a serious level: the device has enough power and power for any task.
HUSQVARNA
The new TE250i and 300i enduros are equipped with a two-stroke engine with - attention! - fuel injection. The conservative world of off-road motorcycles has capitulated under the pressure of environmentalists. But I only benefited from it. Because now, having retained their 2-stroke character, these enduros are closer to 4-stroke in terms of ease of use and riding: fuel consumption and emissions have become lower, and traction is smoother.
The full line of enduro motorcycles from the Swedish manufacturer, presented on our market, includes eight 2-stroke and 4-stroke models with engine capacities from 125 to 700 cm 3 .
KAYO
These “Chinese”, like BSE, have become popular with us due to their pit bikes. But recently full-fledged enduros have appeared in the Kayo line: K1 250, K6 250, T2 250 with two wheel diameters and T4 250 - all with the “surname” Enduro. These 4-stroke carburetor models produce 16 hp. s., with the exception of the K6, differ from each other only in wheel size, wheelbase length (the difference is about 5–10 cm), suspension settings, gas tank volume and, accordingly, weight.
The K6 250 is distinguished by a more powerful (26 hp) water-cooled engine with an injection, longer wheelbase and suspension travel. And also at a price - almost twice as high as other models.
KTM
This year the Austrians have released two interesting new products. KTM 250 EXC TPI with two-stroke engine with fuel injection system. KTM engineers freed the device from the disadvantages of a 2-stroke engine and equipped it with the advantages of a 4-stroke engine: smoother traction over a wide speed range, instant and at the same time smooth reactions to turning the throttle, reduced fuel and oil consumption, automatic correction of the fuel mixture, depending on from environmental conditions, and good environmental performance.
KTM 250/300 EXC TPI.
The new 4-stroke KTM Freeride 250 F is a successor and replacement to the iconic 2-stroke 250 and 4-stroke 350, which at one time “founded” a new class of dual-purpose motorcycles - Freeride, combining versatility and riding pleasure.
The KTM Freeride 250 F, depending on the desires and capabilities of the person riding it, can serve as a classic enduro, a “walking” enduro (trail) or both together, as well as be the first motorcycle for a beginner or a training machine for a professional.
KTM Freeride 250 F.
The new product received a lightweight 4-stroke engine with a capacity of 250 cc and a redesigned and lightweight chassis, which made it possible to achieve an optimal balance of weight (99 kg), power, dynamics and maneuverability.
In total, the line of enduro motorcycles of the Austrian brand, available in Russia, includes 14 models with engines ranging from 250 to 690 cm 3 .
KAWASAKI
In Russia, this company offers one model of “adult” enduro – KLX450R. The device is equipped with a single-cylinder 4-stroke carburetor engine with a volume of 450 cm 3. There is also a children's motorcycle KLX110 with a capacity of 7.3 liters. With. and smaller size.
SHERCO
The Spanish-French company quickly gained a good reputation among enduro and motocross enthusiasts thanks to its lightweight, reliable and easy-to-ride motorcycles.
Sherco 450 SEF-R.
This year, the 4-stroke models 250/300/450 SEF-R have been seriously updated: ergonomics and comfort, traction at low speeds, access to the radiator, ignition settings have been improved; The shape of the fairings has been changed and the weight has been slightly reduced.
A new model has appeared in the 2-stroke line - 125 SE-R, equipped with an electric starter. The 250 SE-R and 300 SE-R receive virtually the same updates as their 4-stroke comrades.
YAMAHA
The WR450F now features an engine with a reverse-slant cylinder head, a forward-facing air intake and a curved rear exhaust system. This design improves intake and exhaust efficiency, which in turn optimizes the engine's high linear torque and provides plenty of power reserves.
A new aluminum frame with a double-sided beam, optimized suspension settings, reshaped fairings for easier access to the air filter, a new engine management program and the ability to set many settings yourself using a smartphone application, an electric starter without a switch - these are just the most noticeable changes in the model 2022.
ZERO
If Harley-Davidson is thinking about an electric motorcycle, then it’s impossible to ignore the Zero brand, which has been on the market for a long time, producing light on-road and off-road motorcycles.
Zero FX is equipped with an electric motor that produces 106 Nm of torque from the very start - a serious help on off-road terrain. The absence of exhaust and noiselessness allow you to use this electric motorcycle for competitions and training indoors, as well as in protected natural areas, and just ride around a holiday village without fear of angering your neighbors.
There are two variants of Zero FX. One is equipped with a modular battery design consisting of two independent quick-release batteries: the motorcycle can be powered by either one or both simultaneously. Electric motor power - 27 hp. s., motorcycle weight - 112 kg, power reserve 30–75 km.
The second version has a one-piece frame-integrated battery design, while performance figures are almost doubled compared to the modular version: power 46 hp. s., power reserve 63–146 km. Weight - 135 kg.
SHERCO 2022 NEW MODELS
Sherco has just released a new line of off-road bikes for the 2022 model year. The France plant is running at full capacity, and company officials expect 2022 to be the biggest year in its 25-year history. Once again, the off-road bikes are divided into two ranges: the "Racing" line and the upgraded "Factory" line. Both include 125 two-strokes (125SE), 250 two-strokes (250SE) and 300 two-strokes (300SE). Four clocks are offered: 250SEF, 300SEF, 450SEF and 500SEF. Here are some details for 2022.

The 250 and 300SEF Factory models receive all the same upgrades with the addition of a new Akrapovic exhaust system and KYB suspension. The factory model also gets updated graphics and seat covers.
2022 Sherko 250SE Racing
The bread and butter of the Sherco line remains two-stroke. The 250 and 300 are the same except for the offset. They both have electronic power valves, six-speed transmissions and electric starters. New for 2022 is a counterweight to reduce vibration. There are also significant changes to the gearbox, which results in weight loss. The two-stroke engine gets a new cylinder, a new head, ignition changes and a lower compression ratio.
2022 Sherco 300SE Factory
The factory Sherco 300SE is the model that Cody Webb rides. Its upgrades include KYB suspension, FMF exhaust and factory graphics. It also gets all the engine upgrades including a counterbalancer.
The 250 and 300 two-strokes are counterbalanced for 2022.
2022 Sherco Factory 125SE
Sherco has 125 available in both factory and race configurations. It features a lighter crankshaft among other updates for 2022. For more information on the Sherco line visit www.sherco.com.
Enduro
Enduro is a motorcycle designed for off-road riding. The popularity of this class of motorcycles is associated with the comfort and speed of the iron horse. They initially appeared in motorsports, but over time they evolved into several directions, including road use. Distinctive features: - light weight; — one or two-cylinder engines; — wheels with spokes, the front one is slightly larger in diameter than the rear one; — high-mounted wide steering wheel; — large suspension travel; — low power; - low engine sound. Enduro classification. There are three main groups: 1. Hard enduro. In appearance they resemble cross-country motorcycles, as they are built on their basis. Difference from its counterparts: - high strength of parts; — energy intensity; — minimum weight; — high power density; — high power/weight ratio. Due to their excellent performance, they are intended primarily for motorcycle competitions. 2. Soft enduro. This option is suitable for lovers of outdoor activities and for everyday urban use. The motorcycle will allow you to ride comfortably both on asphalt and moderate off-road. The most suitable equipment for driving on Russian roads. 3. Touring enduro. It is the best-selling and popular two-wheeler for long-distance travel. It will provide not only speed of movement, but also a high level of comfort throughout the trip. It is equipped with additional equipment that is purchased from both manufacturers and third-party companies. These powerful motorcycles feature large engine displacement and durable suspension. Enduro will allow you to take a large amount of cargo with you on a trip, without compromising technical characteristics. The only limiting factor in off-road driving is the weight and dimensions of the vehicle. There are no other cons in this class. In Russia, enduro is gaining popularity, taking into account the quality of our roads. This class of motorcycles will allow you to easily maneuver on narrow roads, without stopping in front of speed bumps and rails. This type of transport is suitable for lovers of nature and wild places. Another advantage over other classes will be the use of a motorcycle in winter, while other sportbikes rest in the garage until spring. Enduro is a motorcycle designed for comfortable road riding and crazy off-road racing.

Great review of the Stels Enduro 250 motorcycle
RU-MOTO rating
Verdict
The motorcycle belongs to the “enduro” class, but is not intended for “steep” off-road conditions. Only country roads, small potholes and curbs are suitable for it. With all this, there are also positive qualities: firstly, the price, and secondly, the positive emotions from driving. Those who have ridden this motorcycle confirm that it is worth the money.
S tels Enduro 250 is a product of a joint Russian-Chinese venture (and in fact only a Chinese one) and does not differ in build quality. This is evidenced by many reviews from owners. Last year, the Chinese motorcycle manufacturer began producing a new range of “Enduro” cross-country motorcycles.

The basis of the design is a frame made of steel pipes, on which a 16 l/s engine is mounted. The gasoline engine is directly cooled by the pressure of oncoming air, and the carburetor requires 92 grade gasoline (some owners fill in 95 grade). The engine is started using an electric starter or kickstarter.
The rear wheel does its job using a roller chain. The cross-country motorcycle is equipped with a high-speed five-speed manual transmission. The efficient operation of the front drive is ensured by hydraulic shock absorbers. The package includes steel rims, disc brakes and tires with an asymmetric tread pattern. The unit weighs 135 kg, the tank volume is 10 liters, which is enough to travel 300 km without refueling, since the motorcycle’s consumption per 100 kilometers is about 3 liters per hundred. The maximum speed is 130 km/h. Acceleration to hundreds, judging by reviews from owners, ranges from 12 to 17 seconds (in this parameter, this motorcycle loses to its direct competitors).
Enduro motorcycles Sherco 2022
Sherco's new 2022 enduro and hard/enduro range includes the SE 125/250/300 two-stroke and 250/300/450/500 SE-F four-stroke models. There is also a top-end line with higher performance, which includes 250/300 two-stroke and 250/300/450/500 four-stroke. Add to this four non-homologated Cross Country SC and SCF models: the 125 and 300 two-strokes, plus the 300 and 450 four-strokes.
After a major redesign last year, the 2022 Sherco motorcycle model updates are more accurately described as an evolution rather than a revolution. The new graphics are an obvious visual innovation, but there are hidden changes to the engines, where most of the work has been done essentially to reduce weight and, in the case of four-stroke engines, increase power and reduce noise. The new KYB rear shock on Factory models has noticeably changed the suspension characteristics.
