Are you ready for Dakar?

Domestic motorcycle manufacturers are haunted by the achievements of motorcyclists at the world famous Dakar marathon rally. It was founded by French motorcycle racer T. Sabin in 1978. Before it was transferred to Latin America due to the danger of terrorist attacks, the capital of African Senegal, Dakar, was the starting or ending point of this race. This competition is traditionally held annually in the first month of the year. The length of the Dakar route is several thousand kilometers. The route goes along a variety of roads. Riders are forced to travel along:

  • sands;
  • dunes and dunes;
  • rocky ground;
  • rocks and salt marshes.

During the race there are often sandstorms and sometimes rain. The complexity of the Dakar route is such that a significant part of the starting cars do not reach the finish line. It is interesting that, along with professional racers and teams of auto and motorcycle manufacturers, numerous amateurs take part here. Their number may account for more than half of the participants, most of whom are motorcyclists and ATV riders. At one time, it was at these competitions that two-wheeled vehicles from world motorcycle brands convincingly proved their ability to successfully compete with four-wheeled all-terrain vehicles in such races. Therefore, the market demanded a machine capable of passing the most severe tests. This is how the baltmotors dakar 250 appeared. Motard with that name turned out to be a pretty cool motorcycle.

This model appeared on the roads in 2014. Its versions, called Dakar 250 Motard and Dakar 250 E, were intended for different purposes. The first is for the difficult conditions of a big city with its intense traffic and kilometer-long traffic jams. What was needed here was a dakar, capable of either trudging along at minimal speeds or instantly picking up speed when escaping from a jam. The second option was made for those who cannot imagine themselves without extreme off-road travel, mountains, and difficult road terrain. Reliability of Dakar cars is provided by a 28-horsepower liquid-cooled engine. They have excellent handling, stability in the most difficult conditions, and excellent maneuverability. This is achieved thanks to a balanced suspension, a strong and lightweight aluminum frame, light metal parts, and a fork that can be adjusted to suit the trail conditions.

Motorcycle GEON Dakar 250E – the king of off-road

The line of enduro motorcycles is always offered by Balmotors in an excellent assortment, where one of the highest quality and most popular models remains the Dakar 250. At first glance, this model looks like a high-quality Japanese product with excellent characteristics and equally good build quality. Some inexperienced people are not even able to distinguish this model from a real Japanese one, and for this we are very grateful to the Baltmotors brand.

The manufacturer assures that the standard model was made for urban movement, so the Baltmotors Dakar 250 was endowed with excellent maneuverability and simple controls. This is the best solution for traffic jams, and the small overall dimensions help with this. Some drivers also note that maneuverability and good handling are the main qualities of this new product. But what to do in off-road conditions, because an enduro-class motorcycle should be able to withstand driving on mountainous and uneven roads perfectly. Fortunately, this became possible thanks to the presence of high-quality wheels in a true enduro style and a proprietary suspension from Baltmotors.

Driving through mountainous and swampy areas will be the most interesting for the Baltmotors Dakar 250 model, because this is the only way to discover the true power and maneuverability of the model.

Specifications

For an affordable price you will get a full-fledged enduro motorcycle with excellent characteristics. Economy plays an important role here, so fuel consumption was only 4.5 liters/100 km. The engine, with a volume of 249 cubic meters and 1 cylinder, is capable of producing considerable power of 26 horsepower. Consequently, when using the equipment on a normal road, the maximum speed will be 110 km/h. To control the motorcycle off-road, the design is as lightweight as possible; the total weight of the motorcycle is 135 kg.

Control takes place through the well-known 6-speed manual gearbox. The motor is especially interesting to many enduro enthusiasts, because Baltmotors installed a SOHC system, the valves are titanium, and the engine itself received a balance shaft to prevent vibration. Now such a Chinese is used with a liquid cooling system, the characteristics are also offered with two engine starting options - kickstarter or electric starter. With a fuel tank capacity of 8 liters, the instructions recommend using AI-95 gasoline.

Design Features

The Baltmotors company has always been distinguished by the high quality of assembly of its motorcycles, so the new enduro turned out to be a successful model. Externally, the new product will surprise anyone, because it differs from competitors in terms of power by the presence of a front shield, which is raised quite high. The front suspension looks aggressive and powerful, which only improves the visual effect of the motorcycle. With its low weight and good maneuverability, the motorcycle is excellent for performing tricks.

The overall appearance does not raise any questions among experienced bikers. Everything is stylish, modern and neat. They decided to make the seat comfortable, but completely flat and narrow. There is an inverted fork installed at the front, which performs its functions perfectly when traveling off-road. The frame is diagonal and made of high strength aluminum, withstands heavy loads and dangerous jumps. Already today, a number of tests have been completed, where it was determined that the suspension and frame fully fulfill their duties, and there is no doubt about their reliability. At the rear, the manufacturer decided to install a pendulum suspension with 1 adjustable shock absorber.

The ability to adjust the suspension to the road situation allows you to absorb heavy loads, making it more comfortable to take sharp turns. Often, thanks to good suspension and excellent interaction of the engine with other parts, the Baltsomotrs 250 Dakar has one of the best prices, and the model itself is often used for racing. For city driving or very maneuverable driving, disc brakes will help ensure proper safety.

Advantages

As a result, a number of reviews and successful test drives showed that the Dakar 250 enduro motorcycle from Chinese-Russian cooperation has the following advantages:

  1. Simple and powerful engine, easy to operate. Excellent performance and power are characterized by the presence of titanium valves.
  2. Driving safety is ensured by powerful brakes, an aluminum diagonal frame and a proprietary suspension.
  3. Comfortable, true enduro-style riding position.
  4. One of the best engines from China, characterized by high build quality and durable parts.
  5. Availability of spare parts on the market; universal parts are used in the motorcycle.

You cannot go on the Road on a motorcycle without a license.

The BARS DAKAR 250 cc motorcycles are manufactured by a Chinese company that has been producing motorcycles since 2002. The company's motorcycles are aimed at the Russian consumer and are adapted to Russian roads and off-roads, as well as the climatic conditions of our country.

BARS DAKAR 250 cc is a motorcycle powerful enough to overcome various obstacles on off-road trails. It is capable of unusual turns and somersaults in off-road conditions, thanks to heavy-duty tires, a ZONGCHEN engine (China) with a balancing shaft (reduced vibrations) and hydraulic disc brakes.

A manual transmission with an extended fifth gear was selected for the model; the motorcycle continues to accelerate confidently in all gears. A new electronic dashboard has been installed. The motorbike has an impressive wheelbase of 1430 mm, telescopic front suspension and a monoshock absorber in the rear suspension with adjustable spring stiffness.

The engine is carburetor, the enrichment control is on the steering wheel. In the summer it starts immediately without any suction.

The air filter is equipped with a paper replaceable element and an intake muffler.

If you install a zero-resistance air filter, the motorcycle's throttle response increases noticeably.

An additional mud fender removes splashes from the rear wheel. The back is always clean.

The seat is really a double seat and the passenger does not slide towards the driver.

There are handles in the rear for the passenger to hold onto. These handles can be used to lift the motorcycle or move it sideways. The platform for the case is made of real thick but light aluminum.

The rims and spokes can withstand hard landings. The silent blocks in the rear arm do not break. The spring in the rear shock absorber is adjusted by preload and stiffness.

Gas tank with key. The lid is hinged and does not get lost.

The front lights are LED and the rear light is LED - they look amazingly beautiful in the dark.

There is a lot of streamlined plastic on the bike that can be easily removed if racing.

Cost of participation in the DAKAR 250 races in 2015. not as high as on HONDA or YAMAHA.

Even with minor modifications to the DAKAR 250 motorcycle in 2015, you can already ride in the amateur competition.

Transmission and clutch

The main drive is a classic chain, sealless in stock, and it stretches quickly. It is better to immediately replace it with a Japanese one, for example, with RK Excel XSO with X-shaped seals.

But you have to get used to the long stroke of the throttle; you won’t be able to turn it all the way right away, but there may be problems when transferring to another bike.

  • The clutch is standard, multi-disc, oil bath. Power transmission is a cable.
  • The main drive is chain.

Brakes

The front brakes “grip with a bang” and are very informative.

  • Power transmission is via a hydraulic line, the hoses are reinforced.
  • There are two petal discs on the front axle and one on the rear axle.
  • Support 2-piston calipers (6 in total).

Braking assistance systems such as ABS are not offered and are not installed.

Pros and cons of Baltmotors Motard 250

Advantages

  • No problems finding spare parts. However, they are rarely required, since the motorcycle is in no hurry to break down.
  • A peppy engine with good low-end traction. There are almost no parasitic vibrations typical of single-cylinder engines.
  • Economical. The fuel consumption of the BM 250 Motard is approximately 3-3.3 liters per 100 km.
  • Not bad brakes. Not wonderful, but rather quite good.
  • Energy-intensive pendants. The upside-down front fork deserves special praise.
  • High quality plastic. Quite durable and at the same time flexible.

Flaws

  • High price, especially for a Russian-Chinese motorcycle. For the price of a Baltmotors Motard 250 you can buy a not too ancient Japanese bike of the same class.
  • Heavy weight. The dry weight of the motorcycle reaches 140 kg, which is quite a lot by the standards of the class.
  • The seat is too hard and slippery.

Disadvantages of the model

Minor additional adjustments required.

In general, the motorcycle demonstrates quite good technical characteristics. All systems operate smoothly, which makes it easy for a beginner to master the vehicle. Predictability of engine operation, good traction at any speed contributes to the rapid learning of technology. For more experienced motorcyclists, the bm dakar 250 motard is also suitable, since the reliable frame and powerful suspension allow you to perform many tricks and operate the bike in the style of hard off-road riding.

Having all the necessary parts allows you to safely ride a motorcycle within the city. The sporty, aggressive appearance and technical parameters promote active driving and maneuvering in traffic jams. Surprisingly, in terms of quality and appearance, the bike can hardly be classified as “Chinese”, which allows you to get a powerful vehicle with good performance at an affordable price.

How did the motard appear?

Their history begins in the seventies of the last century. Then American motorcyclists created a new motorcycle style. It was a symbiosis of a road and cross-country motorcycle. From a distance, it's an ordinary motocross motorcycle. Upon closer inspection, it turns out that its wheels, instead of cool motocross tires, have regular road tires. However, its off-road potential allows you to overcome any difficulties on the roads, overcome curbs, and even drive up stairs. These motorcycles are sometimes called supermotos. Under this name, since 1985, competitions on similar motorcycles have been held on looped asphalt or dirt tracks of relatively short length. Additionally, they are used for various tricks such as wheelie or wheelie. Particularly chic are exiting turns on the rear wheel during racing or skidding before entering a turn. The world's leading motorcycle manufacturing companies, quickly catching the feedback from motorcyclists, have mastered the production of such machines, which are extremely popular among extreme sports enthusiasts. The Russian company is also trying to keep up with them, offering the market several options for baltmotors motard. According to their technical characteristics, the baltmotors motard 200 and its more powerful brother the baltmotors motard 250 are ideal for urban conditions in terms of handling, dynamics and ergonomics. These narrow cars maneuver easily in city traffic jams and quickly pick up speed once they get out of them. This is largely due to their relatively light weight and ease of control. Cross ground clearance makes overcoming the toughest obstacles a hassle-free task. It is no coincidence that the popularity of these cars is growing, and people are willing to buy them.

As a result, a number of reviews and successful test drives showed that the Dakar 250 enduro motorcycle from Chinese-Russian cooperation has the following advantages:

  1. Simple and powerful engine, easy to operate. Excellent performance and power are characterized by the presence of titanium valves.

Already today, a number of tests have been completed, where it was determined that the suspension and frame fully fulfill their duties, and there is no doubt about their reliability.

On the way to perfection

Improvements are constantly being made to both of these machines. In recent years they have undergone a number of modernizations. As a result, they got:

  1. characterized by high strength chains and sprockets;
  2. tires of excellent quality with a high profile and strong sidewall;
  3. additionally reinforced 17-inch wheels;
  4. reliable disc brakes.

This makes for reliable grip on any road surface. Both baltmotors motard 200 dd and baltmotors motard 250 dd are equipped with powerful and reliable four-stroke engines manufactured under Japanese license. They have undergone ten years of testing in different modes. However, the first one is air cooled. It is traditional for most motorcycle engines. The increased power of the second required air-oil cooling. The cars have an electric starter and an electronic ignition system. Taking into account the operating conditions, the main units in the machines are reliably protected. Thus, the engine crankcase is protected from impacts from below with light and durable protection made of aluminum alloys.

The same function is performed by durable and aesthetic plastic cladding. The suspensions have sufficient travel, which, together with wide wheels and a hydraulic braking system, make it possible to pass the most difficult sections of both city and country roads. Both brakes effectively reduce the distance to a complete stop.

This is also helped by reinforced hoses of the brake system, which is important in harsh operating conditions. This is best demonstrated by the 21-horsepower baltmotors motard 250 dd

Feedback from motorcycle owners confirms the correctness of the improvements made. These motorcycles are easy to ride. The driver has the opportunity to constantly monitor the car, receiving information about its condition. This is helped by the extremely clear dashboard. In addition to the speedometer and tachometer, it has a mileage counter. Special indicators show which gear is engaged and which direction the turn signal is turned on. Despite the narrow seat, the motorcycle is comfortable to sit on, and special footrests allow you to move while standing, which is necessary to overcome difficult obstacles. The efficient optics of modern design are pleasantly surprising. This greatly simplifies driving at night, especially on country roads. Numerous reviews also speak about this.

Review of Baltmotors Dakar 250

It is quite possible that it is worth it. The 250 cc four-valve liquid-cooled engine installed on the Baltmotors Dakar 250 was developed jointly by the Chinese from the well-known company Zongshen, famous for high-quality and inexpensive motorcycles, and the Italians from the Beta concern, which is slightly less well-known in Russia. The engine produces 26 horsepower - an excellent figure for a 250 cc "Chinese". In general, what distinguishes the Baltmotors Dakar 250 from other Chinese bikes is the modernity of some technical solutions. On the one hand, this motorcycle is simple - a chain (by the way, sealless - progress!), a carburetor, gearbox-5... And on the other - 4 valves per cylinder, a balance shaft in the engine designed to dampen vibrations, a frame and pendulum made of aluminum, and not made of steel.

By the way, the compression in the engine is also impressive - 11.5 atmospheres instead of the usual 9-9.5. The thing is that the Baltmotors Dakar 250 was developed for competitions, and therefore is distinguished by increased survivability and manufacturability compared to purely civilian models. True, you have to pay for this, and in the literal sense of the word - the motorcycle requires 95 gasoline, not 92.

Baltmotors claims a service life of the BM 250 Dakar engine of no less than 100 hours in extreme operation mode, which, accordingly, guarantees a long service life of all components if the motorcycle is used without such extreme conditions. However, this bike really gives the impression of a reliable piece of equipment, everything is made well, conscientiously - both steel and plastic parts.

The brakes are very, very pleasing. One disc per wheel, and this in combination with a reinforced braking system - as a result, the Baltmotors Dakar 250 stops dead in its tracks. If, of course, we are talking about the motard version and dry asphalt, the behavior of the motorcycle changes radically on the ground and with off-road tires. But the brakes are really made to a solid standard, and do not cause the slightest complaints.

Of course, there is no need to talk about comfort - this is not the same class of technology. But the plastic is not fragile, and can withstand most falls without loss, which sports races rarely do without. This applies to both versions of the motorcycle. The paintwork of the Baltmotors Dakar 250, by the way, is also up to par - you have to try to scratch the paint on it. It is noticeable that the motorcycle was initially developed not for city streets, but for the sports track.

The dashboard is made in the best traditions of the class, that is, minimalist, but with everything necessary. The gas tank is traditionally small - 7-odd liters. Fuel consumption of the Baltmotors Dakar 250 varies from approximately 3 liters per hundred during quiet driving on the highway to 6-7 liters in extreme operating modes.

The motorcycle suspension is excellent! The telescopic fork simply works well, but I was very pleased with the rear monoshock absorber with a set of adjustments. Thanks to it, the Baltmotors Dakar 250 can be quickly reconfigured for different conditions, and access to the monoshock absorber is not too difficult.

As for the differences between the models - Baltmotors Dakar 250 E and Baltmotors Dakar 250 M , they are mainly external. Different plastic, different wheels and tires... otherwise, these are almost the same motorcycle, just one was originally intended for off-road, and the second for asphalt. But the high price - about 180 thousand rubles for a motard and almost 200 thousand for an enduro - can scare off many buyers.

On the way to perfection

Improvements are constantly being made to both of these machines. In recent years they have undergone a number of modernizations. As a result, they got:

  1. characterized by high strength chains and sprockets;
  2. tires of excellent quality with a high profile and strong sidewall;
  3. additionally reinforced 17-inch wheels;
  4. reliable disc brakes.

This is best demonstrated by the 21-horsepower baltmotors motard 250 dd.

  • sands;
  • dunes and dunes;
  • rocky ground;

Repair and tuning

A specific technique requires a special approach. Fortunately, thanks to the design features of this model, it is easy to maintain, and there are no problems with maintenance and tuning. Unless, of course, you don't mind spending a little, as some parts can cost quite a bit of money.

Repair

Your bike needs to be serviced frequently, especially if it is subjected to stress on a regular basis. If you operate your steel horse as usual, then maintenance can be carried out by mileage, and not by engine hours, following the recommendations in the manual. Everything in it can be repaired, or in extreme cases, replaced. The less the motorcycle falls and breaks, the less often you will have to do this.

Spare parts

Official dealers often do not have spare parts in stock, but the design of the Baltmotors Dakar 250 uses a huge number of components from third-party manufacturers. So you can pick up almost anything, even if you have to spend time finding the right parts. Some things come from Chinese bikes, some from European ones, and some from Japanese ones.

Tuning

The same can be said about tuning as about spare parts - it is universal, and its choice is very wide. The cost depends on what exactly you need - hand protection or, for example, new running boards can be bought inexpensively, but more technically complex elements can cost a pretty penny.

Baltmotors Dakar 250 E

The Baltmotors Dakar 250 E is a serious enduro bike designed for rough handling. The motorcycle looks serious and resembles a real cross-country bike.

The “heart” of the model is a completely “adult” four-valve quarter-liter water-cooled engine. It is a joint development of a large Chinese concern and a small but generally recognized Italian company. The engine produces twenty-six “horses”, which can be considered an excellent result for this type of bike. The carburetor is responsible for “mixing” the air-fuel mixture on the Dakar 250 E. The torque is transmitted to the wheel by a reliable modern sealless chain. The engine has a balancer shaft, which does an excellent job of leveling vibrations. This is very important for an enduro motorcycle, as vibrations lead to premature fatigue of the rider.

It is also worth noting the high compression in the Dakar 250 E engine. On average, it is a couple of atmospheres higher than that of bikes of the same class. This is because the bike was developed for racing. However, you have to pay for high compression: the Dakar engine is demanding on fuel quality and consumes gasoline with an octane rating of 95 and higher. The same fact explains the huge margin of reliability of many hardware devices.

Baltmotors Dakar 250 E is built on a lightweight and indestructible aluminum frame. The pendulum here is also aluminum. This distinguishes the Russian-Chinese motorcycle from its classmates, which often have a heavier steel frame.

The Dakar has a five-speed gearbox, with very pleasant shifts.

Modifications and competitors

Among the Baltmotors model range you can find the Baltmotors motard 250 dd.

Baltmotors Motard 250 DD – the model belongs to the enduro class.

In terms of performance characteristics, it is similar to a road car, a little weaker. But:

  • comfortable classic fit;
  • less consumption;
  • accelerates well;
  • Convenient for short motorcyclists (feet to reach the ground).

The Yamaxa YBR125 is positioned as a lightweight road bike for beginners.

Interestingly, being a direct descendant of Suzuki, it has no competitors. Most reviews compare it to Yobrik (Yamaxa YBR125).

Unlike the schoolboy, Baltmotors has disc brakes on both axles and reinforced hoses. Top speed and cruise are also not in favor of the Yamaxa.

In terms of consumption, YBR is more economical, but it is also 2 times smaller in engine volume.

Flaws

With the exception of the incomprehensible idea of installing sports clip-ons on a city bike, other disadvantages are minor. Users noted:

  • Vibrations. The usual story for cylinder 1, but the owner of the Baltmotors street will have to often check the tightness of all kinds of locknuts.
  • Clip-ons. An incomprehensible idea from the developers, especially considering that the hexagons on which they are attached will require a special wrench for tightening. You will have to check it often, so you need to buy a key. Or replace the clip-ons with a classic steering wheel:
    Classic high steering wheel.

    Mounting posts.

    View from below.

  • Stock pens.
    There is no way to fold or adjust. When traveling with two fingers, there is a possibility of pinching the others. When braking with two fingers, the lever rests on the ring finger and little finger.

and dignity

The advantages of the bike exactly repeat everything that is usually said about Chinese motorcycles.

  • Maintainability.
  • Wide selection of components.
  • Price.
  • Dashboard.
    If desired, the original instrumentation can be easily replaced with a more modern electronic one, for example, KOSO with a digital speedometer.

In addition, all owners note the fuel tank. According to this parameter, the motorcycle is an absolute record holder in its class. For bikes identical in other respects, the reserve rarely exceeds 20 liters. 22 l - no one has it.

Advantages and disadvantages

Baltmotors Dakar 250 is a unique motorcycle, unlike most other Chinese enduros. It costs much more than most of them, and has its own set of positive and negative qualities. But due to the rather high price, we will evaluate it to the fullest extent.

Advantages

  • Fully adjustable suspension front and rear allowing you to fine tune it to suit your weight and riding style.
  • Unification of many parts with European and Japanese models, which simplifies the process of finding spare parts and tuning.
  • A powerful engine with excellent low-end traction and impressive cubic capacity for a 250 cc bike.
  • Flexible and durable plastic that can withstand most of the falls that are inevitable in off-road riding.
  • Standard crankcase protection protects the engine from impacts.

Flaws

  • The need for frequent maintenance, especially when operating under high loads.
  • The BM S2 Dakar 250 engine is not suitable for long driving with a uniform load, especially at high speed.
  • Hard and slippery standard seat.
  • Small range both on and off the pavement.

Specifications

The Dakar 250 costs noticeably more than its Chinese classmates, but is still cheaper than any “Japanese” or “European”. This is not the greed of the manufacturer and dealers, no - this bike is equipped simply superbly, given its overall budget, so the high price is completely justified.

Engine

The Dakar 250's 250cc, 4-stroke, 4-valve engine is a collaboration between Chinese and Italian engineers, and it's very good. The engine is distinguished by confident traction throughout the entire rev range, and it does not need to be desperately “twisted” to obtain decent dynamics. Power reaches 19.3 hp and torque – 23 Nm. The engine is powered by an injector, so the quality of the fuel being poured matters. The maximum speed on the road is 140 km/h, but driving in this mode for a long time is not recommended so as not to damage the engine.

Transmission

Baltmotors Dakar 250 is equipped with a modern 6-speed gearbox. It behaves exactly as you'd expect from a hard enduro - the gears are short, all except sixth, and you'll be using them all all the time. They shift easily, without effort or any knocks from the depths of the gearbox, which is not typical for Chinese motorcycles.

Chassis and brakes

In order to reduce weight, the frame and swingarm were made not of steel, but of aluminum, in addition, the motorcycle was equipped with fully adjustable suspensions - an inverted fork at the front and a monoshock absorber and Pro-Link at the rear. The range of settings is wide, and the strokes are quite long. Ground clearance of 330 mm allows you not to be afraid of bumps, holes and other obstacles, and disc brakes (one 240 mm disc on both wheels) stop the motorcycle effectively even at high speed. Torque is transmitted to the rear wheel via a sealless chain.

Electronics

All electronic components are made in China, but this is “good China”. In the owner reviews there is no information at all about any malfunctions with electronics, and this seems to be true. Moreover, in the whole design there is nothing more complicated than an injector and an LED headlight (very good, by the way!).

Weight and dimensions

The weight of the BM 250 Dakar is only 135, which is comparable to the weight of its Japanese counterparts. This is thanks to the lightweight chassis, and such a low weight has a positive effect on dynamics and braking distance. The dimensions of the motorcycle are decent, and the seat height reaches 920 mm, so it will be difficult for short-legged pilots to reach the ground with their feet. At the same time, due to the compressed and collected fit, sitting in one position for a long time will be uncomfortable for everyone.

Controllability

As befits an off-road “rogue”, the creation of the Baltmotors company is controlled easily and naturally; this bike is able to easily cope with ruts and take sharp turns, throwing dirt from under the wheels. But all these advantages are fully manifested only in its element, that is, off-road. On asphalt roads, directional stability leaves much to be desired, and the “toothy” tires don’t help it either.

Fuel consumption

When driving on the highway, gasoline consumption does not exceed 3.5 liters per 100 km, but who would buy a Dakar 250 to drive on asphalt? So off-road the numbers will be completely different, much higher, but by how much depends on your driving style. The volume of the gas tank is small, only 8 liters, and it is better to fill it with AI-95. At least that's what the manufacturer recommends.

DAKAR ST

Equipped with a 21 hp 4-stroke engine. With. and a volume of 250 cubic meters, which accelerates the motorcycle to 140 km/h. MotoLand enduros are distinguished by high cross-country ability, perform well on soft ground and sand, and easily overcome obstacles. The sporty character of the Enduro 250 is emphasized by its modern design. The classic design focuses on the strengths of the motorcycle, which is not afraid of dirt, logs, stones and other obstacles. The Enduro 250 motorcycle is available in your choice of red, green or gray. Motoland Enduro weighs 135 kg. The length of the motorcycle is 2100 mm, the height of the saddle is 890 mm. The enduro is suitable for users of any height, has good balance and allows you to confidently maintain balance even on difficult sections of enduro trails. The wheels are spoked, made of aluminum. The front wheel size is 21 inches (530 mm), the rear wheel is 18 inches (450 mm). Front and rear disc brakes. Tires with large studs are suitable for off-road, forest roads, sand and soft ground. At the same time, you can buy an Enduro motorcycle not only for competitions, but also for driving on the highway and in the city. The Enduro 250cc has everything you need for this: PTS, rear-view mirrors, turn signals, brake light, high and low beam headlights. There is a mount for a license plate on the rear fender. The frame of the motorcycle is steel, of good quality. The front fork is an inverted telescopic type, additionally protected by hard plastic. Rear suspension with monoshock absorber. The Enduro handlebar is reinforced with plastic frames that protect the rider’s hands from branches and injuries from falls. The instrument panel is equipped with an LCD screen, which displays all information about the status of the Enduro: revolutions, mileage, speed and other necessary data. The Chinese Enduro from MotoLand is equipped with a single-cylinder 4-stroke 169 FMM air-cooled engine. 17.7 hp engine. With. and a volume of 250 cm³ makes it possible to accelerate on Enduro on a flat track up to 140 km/h. Fuel consumption is 5 liters per 100 km. The gearbox is mechanical, 5-speed. To start the engine, use an electric starter or kickstarter. An electronic ignition system (CDI) is installed. You can buy Enduro in Moscow, Vladimir, Kovrov and any other city where official MotoLand stores are open, or place an order in the online store, and we will deliver it to any city in Russia. You can buy spare parts for Enduro here. And don't forget to buy protective equipment!

Conclusion

Baltmotors Dakar 250 is equally well suited for both ordinary off-road enthusiasts and novice athletes who need professional motorcycle equipment. It is, of course, inferior in characteristics to its eminent competitors from Europe and Japan, but this is already a question of price - the fruit of Russian-Chinese cooperation is noticeably cheaper. And we must admit that it fully justifies every ruble paid for it. Durable and reliable, this bike is capable of surviving many competitions, and under more moderate operating conditions you can’t expect problems with it at all.

Baltmotors Dakar 250 E

This is a full-fledged enduro motorcycle, designed for use on public roads and off-road: mountainous terrain, sand and mud.
In the city, the sporty appearance of the model takes on a different meaning and allows you to feel proud, easily bypassing all road users, while the aluminum frame and pendulum - more rigid in torsion - provide better handling of the motorcycle. The powerful adjustable fork and rear monoshock absorb shock effectively and allow the rider to feel confident in corners.

The motorcycle is equipped with a 250 cm³ engine developed by the Zongshen concern together with the Italian company Beta. The motor has a greater safety margin than other engines of the same cubic capacity. The engine life is over 100 engine hours in sports, medium and high load modes and is practically indestructible in civilian use with timely proper maintenance.

The model uses high-quality plastic, which is flexible and soft, and is “shod” in rubber from the Taiwanese manufacturer CST. A KMS (sealless) chain is also installed.

Maintainability and unification with other global manufacturers of chassis elements, suspension, controls, and transmission opens up great opportunities for tuning and provides the opportunity to install Japanese and European spare parts.

The model is the result of a technical partnership between Baltmotors and the Geon Engineering team (Odessa).

The 2014 Dakar 250 represents the 4th generation of the model. Since the first sport use of the motorcycle at the end of 2011, serious work has been done to find structurally correct components, ensure stable performance, testing and modernization.
