Verdict
To sum up this motorcycle, we can say for sure that this is not a motorcycle that will go unnoticed on the road. It was in this model that we managed to combine several different characters inherent in motorcycles, so if you are tired and want to try something that will give you mixed impressions, then it will be the Ducati Diavel.
Ducati Diavel - it is under this terrifying name that the Italian company presented us with its creation, invading new territories of this market.
It should be noted that this is only the second cruiser in the company's history. It’s hard to call it a purebred; in addition to comfort, Diavel has a pronounced sporting character. Therefore, the Ducati team was most afraid of making the motorcycle ordinary and little noticeable in such a large abundance of equipment. And we think the company has succeeded in doing this.

And for V-Rod and VMAX owners this is a serious reason to reconsider their personal value system. The weight of a cast-iron bridge, the brutality of a tank and the torque of a locomotive are no longer such obvious fetishes even among apologists for driving in a straight line.
“Hello, ambulance? Come urgently, a friend has delirium tremens! What does “what symptoms” mean? Yes, green devils are crawling all over it!” The indignation of the Real Ducatists knew no bounds: they were not given a damn by rolling out a chopper under the iconic brand. Or muscle-bike, which in their eyes is practically the same thing.
You are wrong, brothers. The device does not stand out as muscular or particularly masculine. For all the aggressiveness of the design, there is not a drop of machismo here - but the expression for which Ducati products have been famous for many years is over the edge. Fans of Real Italy will only be offended by the cast-iron bridge (and, to be honest, flaccid) outlines of the “rump.” But there are more than enough designer finds. For example, the license plate bracket on the pendulum: in stock it is strictly at the rear and also serves as a dirt separator, and on request - on the left side, like in natural bobbers. The rear optics, the “ears” on the side of the radiator (depending on the modification, aluminum or carbon), and the passenger footrests, made integral with the brackets and folded together with them, deserve attention.
But the main thing is that this is not a chopper in nature! 162 horsepower per liter - what is that, a cruiser? Is 210, even “dry” kilos, Harley-style? In addition, the ergonomics are closer to “European” (I sat and appreciated: it’s comfortable, like a hand in a glove!) - the authors simply lowered both the footpegs and the steering wheel along with the saddle. Combined with the long wheelbase and low silhouette, this brings to mind the word “dragster”, as indicated by the 240mm rear “slipper”. The Italians claim that this is a completely different 24 centimeters than that of American cruisers. But it’s hard to believe if you look at the photo of the motorcycle, as they say, in action. The characteristic manner of cornering - when the motorcycle almost does not “break”, but the driver himself hangs over - clearly hints that it will be difficult on a winding road with such geometry and such “shoes”.
But on the straights - oh, mom! The power unit - the “11-degree” Testastretta - is borrowed from the Multistrada. It’s just that the camshafts and injection settings are different, which is why the return is slightly less than that of the first versions of superbikes with the “regular” Testastretta. And traction control (this time installed “in the base”, non-switchable, and therefore three-mode: the main Sport, “damped” Touring and “strangled” up to 100 horsepower Urban), coupled with the aforementioned long wheelbase, 28 rake and 240- m “slipper”, as well as Boshev’s new generation ABS, will allow not only an advanced shooter to cope with this devilry... but also an ordinary teapot, with red eyes from decalitres of coffee and a day and a half of sitting at the monitor.
It is these “bikers 2.0”, who “where there is Wi-Fi, there is a homeland”, who are now the most loyal of the masses and the most mass of those loyal to the Ducati brand, and at the same time an extremely solvent buyer. And this buyer (apparently due to the increased density of Wi-Fi there) is most concentrated in America. And give him not a cruiser rib, but also not a sportbike with a hood (for all their declared political correctness, these guys don’t really like the style of African Americans). But a moderately extravagant and extremely charismatic design will be a big draw, as will “user friendliness” and a big name.
And gadget saturation! In addition to the original solutions in the mechanical part, some trinkets in the electrical part are added here. Moreover, the first ones are visible immediately, and if they are not visible, then they are heard immediately after launch (this sound can only be confused with... Hussars, keep quiet: this public does not use buckets, there are cleaners for that - and they have a purely virtual idea of nuts). And the operating mode of the latter is displayed on a full-color monitor located under the main instrument panel. True, this monitor does not have a touchscreen and - oh, horror! — you can’t connect a G5, or an iPhone, or any other brainchild of Steve Jobs there. Against the backdrop of widespread aggregation with the latter’s products from many other companies (from Smart to Kawasaki), this looks... No, not backward. And not even the reluctance to scare away fans of, say, Blackberry. Be proud!
And there is something to be proud of: unlike Jobs’ products, the Ducati upgrade is not only simple and affordable, but is also encouraged by the manufacturer. (For Diavel, only two “direct flows” were invented - and this, I suspect, is just the beginning). Further, the glucose saturation of current Dukas tends to zero and decreases with each model year. And the price differs less and less from the mass market.
In addition, Ducati does not have Chinese copies - and even the Made in China mark on body parts.
Description of the Ducati Diavel motorcycle
The new Ducati Devil has a rigid “birdcage” frame, a 1,198.4 cc water-cooled engine and many more new components and parts that have not previously been used in the construction of motorcycles from this company.
History of creation and manufacturer
The Ducati Diavel 2022 was actually created back in 2010, and was first seen by visitors to the exhibition in Milan. But only now has he begun to conquer his market segment, relying on the innovations brought to it by the designers and engineers of the Ducati company.
Product of Italian masters - Ducati Diavel
Stylish design
First of all, the motorcycle frame began to resemble both a naked bike and a cruiser. The seat is set relatively low, while the footpegs are moved back, which changes the position of the person’s body in the saddle, the fork has received a sharper angle in relation to the frame, and the front wheel has noticeably moved forward.
The rear fender is double - it protects from splashes and carries the bike number, while the upper part seems to be missing altogether.
The turn signals are made in the form of long LED threads, which favorably emphasize the contours of the motorcycle.
Design and safety
The design of the frame and footpegs allows the user to sit in a cruiser riding position, but at the same time, the body is tilted forward, which increases aerodynamic properties. In addition, the steering wheel arches, although high, almost like those of a cruiser, are rotated in such a way that a person’s elbows are pressed to the body, again, for safety reasons.
Dimensions and weight
Ducati motorcycles are not very heavy; the dry weight of the unit is 218 kg. The dimensions are also not striking with anything extraordinary - the length of the wheelbase is 1600 mm, the height from the ground to the saddle is 780 mm

Streamlining
Streamlining is ensured by plastic flaps that act as air intakes directed towards the engine radiator. The front part of the fairings protects the crankcase from damage. This gives the bike a sporty, aggressive look.
Acceleration and top speed
Ducati Diavel accelerates to 100 km/h in 3 seconds. The maximum speed of the Ducati Diavel is 270 km/h. This once again shows the seriousness of the engineers’ intentions to be first in their class.

With the debut of the Diavel, the Monster family finally acquired entry-level Ducati status.
Nevertheless, its representatives are also intensively “electrifying”. Thus, the recently released top version of the 1100 Evo (169 kg 100 hp - in the photo) is already “in the base” equipped with ABS and four-mode traction control (although the throttle drive is still cable-operated, and the traction is switchable), and also “brains” with a connector for Data Analyzer. Plus a “wet” clutch, which greatly reduces the effort on the left lever, and with reverse slip. And the updated design allows us to talk about the ongoing alignment of the design of all Ducatis to a common corporate style. Sotona: Ducati Diavel
Basic superbike concept
The main concept of the bike is not only speed, comfort and safety. The main thing is that the design reflects all the achievements in modern electronics. The bike is simply crammed with electronic sensors and devices. Take, for example, functions such as setting control and power modes, DUCATI Wheelie Control, cruise control, 3.5″ color TFT display, LED lighting, DRL daytime running lights, DUCATI DMS Multimedia System and other electronic features. fillings.
Start of motorcycle production
The first production products were engines, designed by engineer Aldo Farinelli. As soon as Farinelli returned to designing sports cars, Ducati celebrated its rebirth. Their first velomobile was called Cucciolo (Russian puppy), and differed from existing velomobiles on the market with an engine capacity of 50 cc. see and excellent traction at low speeds.
Already in the early 1950s, Ducati conquered half of the Italian motorcycle market. By this time, light motorcycles were becoming increasingly popular. And already in 1952 the Cruiser model was released. The new motorcycle was equipped with an engine with an electric starter. With an engine capacity of 175 cc. see the motorcycle's power was 8 liters. With. The only negative was the automatic transmission, since at that time they could not evaluate it properly. But a little later, 3-speed Cucciolo with an engine capacity of 55 cc appeared on the market. see and Cruiser with a volume of 98 cc. cm. These were the first motorcycles that had a telescopic fork, a spinal frame and a rear swingarm.
A little later, Ducati decided to try their hand at sports and released the 98 Sport model. The first sports model accelerated to 95 km/h with a power of 6.5 hp. With.
Individuality:
The Ducati Diavel Carbon Edition embodies everything new and diabolical from the Italian brand. Its style has received varied reviews from critics around the world, but no one can deny the exclusive nature of this model. The highlight is that the base model may look like a typical Ducati, but the Carbon Edition is truly a blow to your mind. The glossy and matte Carbon finish on the front fender, fuel tank panels immediately catches the eye, making the appearance very bold and It also lightens the weight of the standard Diavel by three kilograms. It is worth adding that the dashboard of the Ducati Diavel Carbon Edition is equipped with two displays. One of them is a full-color TFT screen with a fairly high resolution, which ensures pleasant and convenient reading of information in driving mode. In turn, the 2nd display, LCD, displays basic information such as revolutions, speed, time and temperature.
Advantages, disadvantages and estimated cost
The undeniable advantage of the Ducati Diavel bike over its classmates is the flawless interaction of the powerful Testastretta engine with a six-speed gearbox .
We also note that the level of controllability of the Bolognese devil is ahead of its time , which, coupled with the highest possible safety of the car, allows you to feel absolute control over the speed and road.
In addition, the owners of the Devil praise the performance of the electronic injection system and the oxygen sensor mechanism, as well as the aesthetic perfection of the motorcycle. The downside is its cost, nothing more.
Ducati iron horses, due to their perfection, have never been publicly available or cheap. What can we say about elite, thoroughbred horses, which is Diavel.
At the moment, official dealers are asking from one and a half million rubles for such a “stallion”.
For those who want to get maximum pleasure with a minimum investment, there is a secondary market for motorcycles , where the Italian Devil can be purchased at a bargain price, starting from 300,000 rubles.
A representative of a reputable scooter is the Suzuki Burgman 650, the description and characteristics of which you will find here.

I want to tell you about my “Devil in the Flesh”, about my friend who gives you simply crazy sensations. Moreover, CARBON is a racing modification. Now let's talk about everything in order: 1. It has 1200 cubes - HOW DOES IT GO!!!!! You really don’t dare to squeeze the throttle all the way, even I, an experienced person who had 3 motorcycles before, couldn’t do it. YOU REALLY SHOULD HAVE, excuse the expression “BALLS OF STEEL!” to do this!!!!! Moreover, it is also light, the bike, thanks to the carbon parts, has lost a lot of weight, about 5-7 kg, now it weighs about 200-205 kg. 2. The bike is very smart, there are a lot of limiters crammed into it so that people “don’t get killed!” Very easy to control, steering is simply unreal! The tires on it are branded - Pirelli Diablo Rosso II series, specially developed for the devil. Because of this, the grip on the road is unrealistic, “standing rooted to the spot.” And the way it unfolds when turning, you almost lie down on the asphalt, the main thing is that you have enough courage. It just flies like hell! 3. He is INSANELY BEAUTIFUL! I HAVE NEVER SEEN A BETTER DESIGN ANYWHERE!! FORGED WHEELS - ONLY BLACK WITH A METAL SHOW, the only thing I don’t remember is the manufacturer’s brand - THIS IS A FIRM STYLE, VERY BEAUTIFUL, ORIGINAL!!! To summarize, I can say the following: yes, it’s not cheap, now you can buy it for somewhere around 2-2.5 million, as the car costs, and I almost forgot, the consumables for it are a little expensive, but this is a street fighter - everyone like that! BUT IT'S WORTH IT!!!!! I FALL IN LOVE))))!!!!!

Radio engineering beginning
The Ducati company was founded in 1926 in Bologna.
The founders of the company were brothers Adriano and Marcello Ducati. Both of them were interested in radio engineering, so the first direction of the company’s work was the production of radio equipment. In the 20s of the 20th century, the demand for horns and loudspeakers did its job, and the company developed well. After World War II, the demand for radio equipment fell sharply, and the company came under state control
At that time, the creation of cheap means of transportation was important for Italy, so Ducati's activities were retrained to produce vehicles

The Ducati Devil is a dream come true. It features a powerful yet sophisticated design that simply amazes us with its breathtaking beauty. Let's admire it in our small selection.
Tuning
From birth, a motorcycle has an unusual appearance, so few people think of subjecting it to serious external tuning. But still, some elements can be chosen to suit your taste.
The first thing that comes to mind for those hungry for change is installing a direct-flow exhaust to change the sound and increase power. This modification has its own subtleties and will only give an increase if the fuel system is properly configured.
Installing custom handles, mirrors and similar motorcycle accessories has no restrictions, you can experiment here.
Comparison with analogues
The undoubted analogue or competitor of Ducati is the Yamaha V-MAX, which has already earned an army of fans in the motorcycle world.
The power characteristics of motorcycles are different, and here, not in favor of Ducati, the Yamaha has as much as 200 hp, but the weight is 310 kg, which is almost one and a half times more.
Maneuverability and handling are more predictable with the Ducati, weight and a larger number of auxiliary systems play an important role here.
All other characteristics are left to the taste of each pilot.
