GOZA.ru
I bought BaltMotors (BM) Enduro 200, also known as Qingqi 200 GY, Sundown STX 200cc, Skymoto Motador and so on for the first season, to decide what I needed and to gain initial skills in driving a motorcycle. I deliberately took a motorcycle of Chinese origin, assuming there were some bugs, and scoured the relevant forums.
I'll try to sort out my impressions.
1. Aesthetics, appearance, control.
The motorcycle looks good, especially at first. But, pretty soon, all the bolts are covered with rust, the exhaust manifold looks extremely unpresentable - no matter what I do to it, it rusts. On new versions with a 250 cc engine it is made of stainless steel, I think it will be much better. Aluminum parts are covered with a nasty coating.
The plastic is thick but fragile. The side plastic will not withstand serious falls - at most, a soft fall into the sand. The scutes of the upside-down fork fly off like leaves from autumn trees, and without them it’s also not good.
At first the suspension seems soft, but a little later you realize that it is unacceptably soft and does not work very well. I want to try pumping up the rear shock absorber (it has a nipple). The front shock absorber is more difficult. Most likely, you need to change the little one to a thicker one, top it up to the required level, and perhaps add washers or small springs to increase the rigidity of the fork, which breaks through during any even small flights and bites terribly when braking.
Theoretically there is a headlight, in practice it is a size at best. The headlight adjustment does not work, and it shines high into the sky, slightly touching the road with the lower edge of the light spot. The high beam illuminates the tops of the Christmas trees with a narrow bright stripe. Theoretically, the headlight can be adjusted with a screw in its lower part, while its lower part should move inside the muzzle. But behind the headlight there are wiring harnesses and when the screw is twisted, its position does not change, it rests against the wires.
There is no trunk, instead there are passenger horn handles made of some kind of aluminum alloy. However, they can be replaced by installing, for example, a trunk from the first version of the endurka.
I liked the tidy, which shows the number of the gear engaged. It’s a pity that there are no indicators for engine overheating, overspeed, or at least some kind of fuel sensor. I confess, I forget about gasoline, and I’ve already had problems because of this a couple of times. The speedometer, when working, does not lie much, at 106 km/h it shows about 115. The tachometer needle dangles at high speeds and within a thousand and a half revolutions in each direction. It is easier to understand by the sound of the engine whether it is good or not.
The endurka's sofa is low (for my height), hard and narrow, the maximum I can withstand is 100 kilometers without stopping. I drove 250 intermittently, and it’s already hard to do more. It’s hard and the vibrations are annoying.
Speed and consumption
The absolute maximum is probably about 115 km. per hour (more than 120 according to the speedometer), but this is not the speed at which you can drive for a long time. It deflates, chatters, it’s very hard for the motor. Comfortable travel speed is about 90 km/h, but it’s also blowing, thanks to the vertical landing. Up to 80 km/h acceleration is quite brisk (relative to a family minivan with an automatic transmission)), up to 100 acceleration is slow and sad, anything more cannot be called acceleration. This is a smooth increase in speed.
Design
While most motorcycle manufacturers from China continue to persistently copy famous Japanese motorcycles, trying to give their crafts at least an external resemblance to the products of famous brands, the Baltmotors company took a different path. The Street 125 DD model looks fresh, attractive and original. And there is no pretentiousness, even the gilded fork stays and the general aggressiveness of the silhouette do not give the bike the appearance of a parody of an “adult” streetfighter
The BM Street 125 DD turned out to be both catchy enough to attract attention on the road, and modest enough not to pretend to be something that it is not
Advantages and disadvantages of chopper
The Baltmotors Motard 200 is often used as a chopper - it is suitable for long trips along the highway; it can definitely handle a distance of about 200 km. The dimensions and features of the suspension allow you to freely bypass traffic jams, including off-road. Again, fuel consumption is low, which will significantly save the cost of travel.
The Baltmotors Motard 200 motorcycle is convenient for comfortable travel
This model has many advantages:
- economical and reliable, durable plastic
— good brakes (don’t forget to check the serviceability before a long journey), wide road wheels, high-quality parts
- low price and affordable spare parts, the motorcycle is easy to maintain
- dynamic and easy to use, ideal for beginners, steering similar to a bicycle
— high cross-country ability: as they say, the sea is knee-deep, mountains are shoulder-deep. Goes well between the rows
— the steering wheel and mirrors are at a level higher than the cars, which minimizes risks
The disadvantages include:
— the gearbox suffers from cut-offs and can knock out first gear
— Chinese electronics, quality leaves much to be desired
— factory tires are of average level, it is better to replace them
— due to strong vibrations, mirrors/license plates/bolts sometimes come loose
In any case, motard compares favorably with uncomfortable sports and heavy enduros. It is light, on the road you will flutter like a butterfly, without flying off it. The best option for pleasant and safe trips.

Review of BM Classic 200 (2012)
Good afternoon In the first half of May, the question of buying a motorcycle really came up. In the fall of 2011, I studied for category A in addition to B and C and began to make plans for races. Of the classes into which motorcycles are divided, I am most attracted to classics and cruisers. It’s worth noting here that I like neoclassics like Kawasaki W650, W800, Triumph Bonneville, Triumph Scrambler. Twin-cylinder engines, decent displacement, big round headlight (!) and stunning trim. Calm, balanced cars are what you need. Although the British were not offended by power.
But these were dreams! I didn’t have enough income or savings to afford any of these beauties; my budget was approximately 70 thousand. But there was a classic Izh Planet Sport 350 produced in 1978, all original and with documents, but technical problems (it was put in a garage for about 8-9 years without moving) forced us to abandon it. In addition, I really didn’t like the prospect of having two-stroke oil with me when I needed to refuel. But, by the way, it’s not over yet.
I had to drive it from the store myself, despite the fact that I didn’t ride a motorcycle to the driving school, and the school only rented out the site. Hmm, I tensed up then. %) But I got to the garage without incident, covering 21 km. The seller assured that the engine had never been started since the car arrived at the store. However, he started up very cheerfully. The run then was 400 meters.
Characteristic feature: the engine can be started provided that the support leg is removed and the clutch is depressed, otherwise the starter will idle. It starts very easily, at temperatures below 18-20 you can use a choke, and when warmed up it starts with a half turn. The engine sounds quiet, at idle it resembles a scooter, and when accelerating, bass sounds appear. Naturally, the volume is small, so the sound is also not impressive. Craftsmen drill the back wall of the muffler to make the roar more interesting. I don't know if I need this..
There is clearly not enough power on the highway; the transmission gear ratios are also more tailored for the city. When accelerating to 60 km/h, I go through all five gears, so those who like to “light up” will definitely be dissatisfied. In the city, the motorcycle is nimble and obedient (I, of course, have nothing to compare it with), I happened to get into a traffic jam - I was leisurely moving along the right edge of the first lane past standing cars. I read on the forums that you need to stretch Chinese equipment yourself after purchase, so as not to lose anything on the road. I decided to do this, but when applying a reasonable torque, only 5-6 nuts/bolts/screws gave way; everything related to the engine and chassis was tightened to the utmost. Naturally, I didn’t tear up the meat. But the set of tools turned out to be incomplete: the handle for the screwdriver is missing (only two blades - a cross and a flat one) and a 14x17 wrench. The battery is maintenance-free, without plugs, but with hieroglyphs.
More about the appearance: the Classic 200 reminds me of a Suzuki Intruder, adjusted for its dimensions, of course. From the front it looks massive, the back is a little thin, and the panniers widen it a little. On the street everyone looks, turns around and follows, asking what and how. Even the traffic cop asked questions when issuing license plates
I don’t like the increased attention to myself, but I’ve already accepted it. %)
Pros and cons of Baltmotors Street 200 DD
Advantages
- Confident traction at low and medium speeds, and overall good acceleration dynamics by the standards of the class.
- Design. The bike looks like a real “adult” device. There is none of the usual Chinese cheapness in his appearance.
- Modern pendants. They work quite well even with a passenger.
- Great brakes, better than almost any other bike in the same price range.
Flaws
- Weak headlight. On unlit night roads it is noticeably lacking.
- Heavy weight. The weight of Baltmotors Street 200 is about 140 kg, which is a little too much for a small-capacity vehicle.
- The starter is located at the front, in front of the engine, and when it rains, all the water from under the short front fender flies into it.
Reviews from Baltmotors Street 200 DD owners
A normal motorcycle, five years in the same hands, 40+ thousand miles already, normal flight. There are many advantages - it looks cool, it picks up speed confidently, the gearbox and engine work perfectly, the brakes are super effective. There are also some disadvantages - it moves too easily with a side wind, on the removed asphalt it is thrown harshly from side to side due to the narrow wheel at the back, and the headlight shines like a Chinese LED flashlight. And dealers don’t have all the spare parts; anything more serious than a cable or clutch discs can take two months to order. Anton, Moscow, Baltmotors Street 200 DD '2014.
Very comfortable fit, nothing sticks, I drove from home to the sea, 1000+ km one way, stopping only at gas stations to fill up with gasoline and smoke. You can’t take a lot of luggage with a passenger, but if it’s just one person, then in place of the second number you can load at least 20 kg of junk; at a speed of 100-110 km/h nothing blows away. Vasily, Lipetsk, Baltmotors Street 200 DD '2013.
A serious bike, not a Chinese knockoff of something Japanese, but with its own design. Despite the fact that the roots are Chinese, the QINGQI engine seems to be worth it, tuning for it is available on Aliexpress. The quality of the motorcycle as a whole is at the same level, it does not fall apart while driving, and does not require too much attention. Alexey, Tyumen, Baltmotors Street 200 DD '2016.
Repair and tuning
The structurally simple Baltmotors Street 125 DD is easy to repair and maintain. For obvious reasons, there is no specialized tuning for it, but there are plenty of universal Chinese-made options.
Repair
Any beginner can understand the design of the bike; it is very simple and at the same time logical from a design point of view. Even without a manual, you can assemble and disassemble it right in the garage, if only you had the tools, straight arms and desire. Maintenance is even less difficult.
Spare parts
This is a headache for all owners of Baltmotors Street 125. Even when the bike was released, dealers had almost no spare parts in stock, and sometimes it took several months to wait for them to order. Now, years after the model was discontinued, many components are completely impossible to find on sale, so you have to look for them “by hand.”
Tuning
Usually, owners of the Street 125DD are limited to minor cosmetic changes - grips, footpegs, stickers and similar little things. This is partly due to the reluctance to invest money in a cheap motorcycle that will be sold in a season or two, and partly due to the lack of need to tune it. He's pretty good anyway.
Spare parts
Spare parts for Baltmotors equipment are not expensive, there is no shortage of them - the company is Russian. All the necessary parts can be ordered online or asked around at motorcycle dealerships. It will not be difficult to find speedometer, gas and clutch cables, front and rear pads, turn signals and mirrors, oil and air filters, tires. The situation is a little more complicated with bearings, brake handles and fastenings, but if desired, they can be ordered online. There is an option to contact the manufacturing company or visit Kaliningrad in person - there is something to see there.
Before boarding for the first time, be sure to check that the package is complete and that the seller has not forgotten any necessary items. It's best to sign up for a test drive.
Check the adjustment of the throttle cable nuts, the condition and functionality of the throttle, and see if the nuts are falling out.
If everything is in place, go home with peace of mind. Subsequently, the bike can be modified; many people try to increase the power, play tricks with the suspension, change tires and lighting devices. Nobody canceled tuning, especially since everything is in stock. Take the time to visit specialized spare parts stores, which are found in almost every city.
If you are a handy person, you can easily replace some of the spare parts and consumables yourself. And by rummaging through your friends' garage, you can find missing parts. For those who have difficulty with technology, there are plenty of online tutorials. At the same time, examine the insides of your bunk.
The motorcycle has a low price and spare parts are available
Advantages and disadvantages
Advantages
- Excellent braking system with three discs and reinforced hoses. Baltmotors Street 250 stops dead in its tracks, but for beginners there is a risk of accidentally pressing the brake.
- Speedometer. He regularly lies, and to a large extent. As GPS measurements taken by some owners show, at a speed of 110 km/h (according to the speedometer), the deviation can reach 15-20 km/h.
- High reliability of all main components. The engine, for example, is an exact copy of the Suzuki TU250X engine.
- Design. The bike looks very stylish and at the same time quite modern.
- Huge 22-liter gas tank. Without refueling, Baltmotors Street 250 can travel up to 600-700 kilometers.
Flaws
- A peculiar shape of the tank. Long-legged riders may not find it very comfortable to hug it with their legs, as their lower limbs will likely not fit into the designated recesses on the sides.
- Inconvenient valve adjustment. For this operation, special windows are made in the CPG body, but it is quite difficult to get to them with tools in your hands.
- Mediocre directional stability. At high speed, the Baltmotors Street 250 DD behaves quite nervously, and sometimes you have to “catch” it, especially on uneven asphalt.
Reviews
Thanks to the numerous reviews from owners shared by motorcycle buyers, it is possible to obtain detailed information about the work of Motard.
Running in is one of the important manipulations, which, if carried out correctly, can avoid many breakdowns later. In addition, it is worth servicing the bike on time. Then you don’t have to worry, even if you want to travel relatively long distances. The motorcycle is reliable and economical.
An equally important feature of Motard is its safety. Reliable brakes, even at high speed, will help avoid accidents. And high-quality plastic from Polisport with an elegant matte finish is not afraid of damage.
Pros and cons of BM Classic 200
Advantages
- Appearance. The bike looks really decent, much more expensive than it actually costs. Especially if you don't look closely.
- Good standard equipment. Already in stock, the Baltmotors 200 Classic is equipped with a fuel level sensor, plastic side cases, a battery charge level sensor, a gear engaged indicator and one completely useless device - a light bulb signaling an incoming call to a mobile phone.
- Abundance of chrome. Here it covers a great many external parts.
- Modest fuel consumption - about 3.5 liters per 100 km. The bike can handle AI-92 without any problems, thanks to the simple and reliable carburetor.
- Gas tank volume. As much as 13.8 liters - this is enough to travel hundreds of three kilometers without refueling.
- Affordable price. A new bike was inexpensive, and on the secondary market you can even buy it for a thousand dollars, give or take.
Flaws
- Search for spare parts. It is fraught with a number of difficulties - sometimes even the dealer does not have the necessary hardware, and you have to wait for an order for several months.
- Bad brakes. They would be enough for a pit bike or a 50 cc scooter, but for a bike weighing one and a half centners they are clearly not enough.
- Compact sizes. If you are taller than 180 cm, you will not be able to sit comfortably on the Baltmotors Classic 200.
- Poor quality chrome. After a couple of years it begins to peel off.
- The fuel level sensor, judging by the opinions of the owners of the Baltmotors Classic 200, is constantly lying.
- Sluggish acceleration dynamics - after 80 km/h the motorcycle picks up speed extremely reluctantly. Given the weak brakes, perhaps this is for the best.

Approximate price of models
A brand new enduro from a Kaliningrad company can be bought for about 180 thousand rubles. Owned equipment will, of course, be cheaper. You can easily buy a used 200 for around 100 thousand.
The main thing is not to miscalculate and compare price and quality, pay attention to the technical characteristics of the motorcycle, mileage, and its external condition. Ask the previous owner about what he used the bike for, how often he changed consumables, and how carefully he looked after his equipment.
In June 2022, in Moscow, an off-road enduro Baltmotors Motard 250 manufactured in 2014 with a mileage of 1,000 km can be purchased from its first owner for 80 thousand rubles. For the same money, the model is sold in St. Petersburg, only the year of manufacture is 2012, and the mileage is 4,500 km. A “200” of the same year will cost 65 thousand rubles, a resident of the Moscow region sells the motorcycle after 4200 km. “The motorcycle is ideal for a beginner, it forgives mistakes. Suitable for both off-road riding and city driving. The motorcycle has enduro tires (40% asphalt/60% off-road),” he wrote in the ad.
Brief information about the manufacturer
Baltmotors is a source of pride for lovers of domestic technology. Finally, in Russia they decided to revive the motorcycle industry and start producing their own bikes, rather than buying them from China or Japan.
Motorcycle Baltmotors Motard 200 - Russian-made equipment
The first assembly production of “iron horses” in the Russian Federation was launched in 2004 in Kaliningrad. The Baltmotors company initially focused on Western technologies, taking into account the geographical location of the subject, but later adapted them to the Russian consumer. Therefore, many of their motorcycle models have no analogues. They use Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, German and Italian components.
Thanks to the attractive price-quality ratio, Baltmotors bikes are among the top 10 in terms of sales volumes in Russia; the manufacturer is among the top three that assemble their own bikes. The plant annually produces about 10 thousand new motorcycles of various classes, scooters and ATVs.
Baltmotors motorcycles
Motorcycles Motorcycles Baltmotors
The Baltmotors company was founded back in 2004. At first, the company assembled scooters, for which all spare parts were provided by the Chinese company QINGQI.
Today Baltmotors has become a well-known and popular company. In Russia, the company is one of three manufacturers that have their own motorcycle assembly plant. Baltmotors is also among the top ten companies selling motorcycles.
Over the years, Baltmotors has created many popular pieces of equipment, for example: Baltmotors-SMC ATVs, Motard and Enduro, Street and Classic motorcycles, as well as scooters such as Galactica, Hiker and Joy. Every year more than 10 thousand copies of reliable motorcycles roll off the company's assembly line.
Motorcycles, scooters and ATVs of the Baltmotors brand can be purchased in more than thirty cities of Russia; the equipment is presented through service centers and dealer showrooms. The company's central production facility is located in Kaliningrad. Baltmotors employs more than 100 qualified craftsmen, and its warehouse and production capacity totals about 7,000 sq. m. meters.
Baltmotors provides warranty support to all customers. Prophete GmbH is a co-owner and important strategic partner of the company. This is a well-known German company that produces bicycles and motorcycles that are popular throughout Europe.
Baltmotors motorcycles have become the hallmark of the company, because such reliable equipment is simply in great demand. Since 2010, Baltmotors has been cooperating with HSUN, a successful Chinese company producing motorcycle spare parts. Also this year, production of “all-terrain vehicles” of the side-by-side system began, with engine capacities ranging from modest 400 to ambitious 800 cc. cm..
The Baltmotors company also actively cooperates with Japanese and Taiwanese manufacturers of motor vehicles and components. Thus, in 2011, an exclusive agreement was signed with Standard Motor Corporation (a Taiwanese manufacturer). This year also marked the launch of a new ATV from the Baltmotors-SMC series, namely the Jumbo 700.
Baltmotors produces reliable motorcycles at excellent prices, and since 2012 the production of 250 cc motorcycles has been started. Also this year, the production of small-capacity ATVs, the Jam 100 model, began. The power of this “quad” is 7.9 horsepower, which makes it easy to operate and very unpretentious to look after.
Review and technical characteristics of the BM 250 enduro
The low power of the “two hundred” is not enough for many, so Baltmotors has launched production of the BM 250 enduro.
The plastic on enduro is stronger and looks richer, the frame and chassis remain unchanged. The brakes have undergone minor changes: a two-piston hydraulic caliper has appeared on the rear instead of a single-piston one.
The engine was radically corrected, in addition to the increased cubic capacity, an updated crankcase was installed, the mounting “ears” to the frame were strengthened, and the shaft was balanced. The model has 21 horsepower, weight – 142 kg. This option is more suitable for experienced rather than novice drivers or teenagers.
For heavy loads and the ability to perform stunts and ride off-road, an aluminum diagonal frame is made. The telescopic adjustable fork allows the bike to be used in motocross racing.
Enduro models feature better handling and maneuverability, which is important for the city, as well as improved suspension for mountainous terrain, mud and sand. Fuel consumption is slightly higher than in its fellow chopper - 4.5 liters per 100 km, which is also very economical
Baltmotors is dynamic and easy to use
Specifications
Strictly speaking, this model was designed in China, and was only assembled in Russia. Taking as a basis some of the developments of their Japanese colleagues, Chinese engineers put them together, resulting in a viable hybrid that can not only compete equally with analogues in its price category, but also surpass them in most parameters.
Engine
The Chinese did not reinvent the wheel, but simply copied a simple 2-valve 1-cylinder air-cooled engine installed on Japanese motorcycles in the late 80s of the 20th century. Its characteristics are modest, only 11.5 hp, and to get them all, the engine will have to be mercilessly turned to 9500 rpm. But the extremely primitive engine is extremely reliable, and no one has heard of problems with it. Fuel is supplied through a carburetor, which is easily regulated and, if necessary, cleaned. The maximum speed that Baltmotors Street 125 can reach is 100 km/h.
Transmission
The 5-speed gearbox is also a Japanese heritage, and also comes from the last century. The gear ratios are short, so in the city you have to constantly shift, actively working both the clutch and the gas handle to maintain dynamics. You can shift to fifth gear as early as 60 km/h, so you will most likely use it mainly. There are no complaints about the operation of the checkpoint.
Chassis and brakes
One of the main advantages of the BM Street 125 is its chassis. The designers managed to fit an inverted fork and as many as 3 brake discs into the budget bike! At the rear, of course, there is a regular swingarm with a monoshock absorber, but, nevertheless, how often do you come across such a set on motorcycles in this price category? There are 2 discs with 2-piston calipers at the front, and one disc with 1-piston caliper at the rear, and this is enough to easily stop the bike even at maximum speed.
Electronics
Since there are no auxiliary systems in this model, the complexity of the electronics is comparable to a Voskhod or Ural collecting dust in grandfather’s garage. A compact 12-volt battery, a generator, a switch, fuses, a bundle of wires - that's all, there's nothing else here
After purchase, it is advisable to check the condition of the electrical wiring, paying special attention to insulation - there are problems with it on older motorcycles
Weight and dimensions
Due to its simple design and massive steel frame, the bike weighs a lot; the curb weight exceeds 140 kg. It does not seem heavy, but it is worth considering that the weight, significant by the standards of the class of small-capacity road cars, has a negative effect on the acceleration dynamics and braking distance. The dimensions of the motorcycle are quite “adult”, but the triangle of the saddle, handlebars (more precisely, clip-ons) and footpegs are grouped in such a way that it will be a bit cramped for a tall motorcyclist on Baltmotors Street 125. Ergonomics leave much to be desired.
Controllability
Despite its decent weight, the bike handles easily and predictably. It obeys the steering wheel perfectly, and with a slight tilt of the body the pilot can give it the desired trajectory of movement. This advantage makes it very well suited for learning to ride, and as a “learning desk” it can perform no worse than the popular YBR-125.
Fuel consumption
On average, Baltmotors Street 125 consumes about 3 liters per 100 km. Quite a lot for a 125 cc small-capacity engine, but such high consumption is due to the old-fashioned engine, a simple carburetor and the considerable weight of the bike. But it easily digests any gasoline you might like to pour into it.
Technical characteristics of Baltmotors Street 200 DD
Against the background of numerous Chinese, Baltmotors Street 200 DD stands out in the best possible way. It does not seem to be a counterfeit of any well-known model of European or Japanese production, and at the same time its appearance can be called classic and even strict. Some bikers notice that it slightly resembles the Honda CB250F Hornet, but only vaguely, and there is no smell of any attempt at copying here. It is especially gratifying that the Kaliningrad concern not only focused on design, but also made sure that the Baltmotors Street 200 had decent technical characteristics.
The motorcycle weighs a lot, about 140 kg , but it is also well equipped. In a simple tubular frame, the engineers placed a 199 cc air-cooled engine, which, by the way, is very high-torque, and confidently accelerates the bike to a maximum speed of 110 km/h . The engine is capable of producing 15.6 hp. and 14.5 Nm , and it loves high speeds, but there are practically no parasitic vibrations. The seating position is very comfortable, and thanks to well-thought-out ergonomics, you don’t have to reach forward, despite the fact that the Baltmotors Street 200 DD has clip-ons instead of a steering wheel.
The brakes also deserve praise. was generous with as many as three brake discs, two at the front (with 2-piston calipers) and one at the rear (with 1-piston) . The combination of good handling, decent traction in the first half of the rev range and an effective braking system make this motorcycle perfectly suited for maneuvering in city traffic, and the 16-liter gas tank guarantees a range of up to 500 km without refueling , since fuel consumption usually does not exceed 3-3. 5 liters per 100 km . It is impossible not to mention the suspension: at the rear there is a regular pendulum with a monoshock absorber, but at the front there is an inverted fork, moderately long-stroke and energy-intensive.

The motard weighs 200,126 kg, and the fuel tank can hold up to 10.6 liters of gasoline. Both indicators are average for this class of motorcycles. Can withstand loads up to 276 kg. Consumption, on average, is 2.9 liters per 100 km - very good. And this despite the fact that the bike can reach a speed of 100 km/h, which is quite good for traveling on the highway.
