Odometer – allows you to determine the distance traveled by the moped since the day it was put into operation, km. Signal lamps for turn signal operation - flashing lamps indicate that the turn signal is turned on in one direction or another.

Attention! Every time you turn on the turn signal, be sure to check that the warning lights are working properly by indicating the warning lamp.

Signal lamp for turning on the main beam of the headlight - the glow of the lamp indicates that you are moving with the main beam of the headlight on.

Attention! Turn off your high beam headlights when an oncoming car approaches at a distance of less than 100 m or earlier if the oncoming driver asks you to do so by switching the headlights. Bright lights can blind the driver.

Fuel level indicator in the tank - allows you to monitor the amount of fuel remaining in the fuel tank. O on the indicator scale corresponds to the maximum fuel level in the tank, “E” to the minimum.

Attention! When the fuel level indicator needle approaches the red sector of the scale, add fuel to the tank at the nearest gas station. Completely emptying the fuel tank while driving will cause the engine to stop, which in turn may result in loss of control.

Tachometer - allows you to determine the speed of the engine crankshaft.

Attention! The red part of the tachometer scale draws your attention to the maximum permissible crankshaft speed range. If the tachometer needle enters the red sector, slow down, or, if the speed is already low, unload the moped.

Warning lamp for emergency drop in oil level in the oil tank - only control panels of mopeds with two-stroke internal combustion engines are equipped with this indicator. The indicator light indicates the need to immediately add oil to the oil tank.

2.2 Controls

Ignition switch - designed to turn on the power to the moped's electrical system, as well as to lock the steering wheel during long-term parking.

- middle key position. In this position, the moped's electrical system is de-energized and starting the engine is not possible. You can freely remove the key.

— extreme position of the key when rotating clockwise. In this position, the scooter's electrical system is turned on. You can start the engine, use the turn signals, side lights and horn. It is impossible to remove the key from the ignition switch in this position.

— extreme position of the key when rotating counterclockwise. In this position you can lock the steering wheel in the extreme left position. The moped's electrical system is de-energized. The key can be removed from the lock.

Attention! Carefully study the procedure for locking the steering wheel in the section “Basics of operating a moped” and always lock the steering if you leave the moped unattended for a long time. This will allow you to reduce the risk of vehicle theft.

- “high beam headlights” - the light beam illuminates the road surface and the side of the road at a distance of 75-100 m from the moped.

Attention! If the light beam from the headlight of your moped does not illuminate the road surface well enough, contact a service center to make the necessary adjustments.

Turn signal switch - designed to turn on the turn signal lamps. In the middle position of the switch, the turn signal lamps do not light up; in the left position, the turn signal lamps on the left side of the moped light up; in the right position, on the right side. For the convenience of turning off the turn signal, there is a button on the switch, pressing which automatically returns the switch to the middle position.

Horn button – designed to sound a sound to attract the attention of other road users.

Attention! Use the horn only to prevent a traffic accident.

Left brake lever - designed to operate the rear brake. When you press the brake lever, the stop signal automatically lights up.

Right brake lever - designed to operate the front brake. When you press the brake lever, the stop signal automatically lights up.

The left steering wheel handle does not have any special functional purpose.

The right steering wheel handle is designed to control the carburetor throttle valve. Turning the handle toward you opens the throttle valve. The more you turn the handle, the more the carburetor damper opens and, therefore, the faster the engine crankshaft begins to rotate, as a result of which the moped picks up speed. When you turn the handle away from you, the throttle valve closes - the moped slows down.

Attention! For your safety, the design of the moped provides for the automatic return of the right handlebar handle to its original position if you release it from your hands.

Carburetor choke control handle - this control is equipped only on mopeds with a two-stroke internal combustion engine. The handle is located on the right handlebar grip a little further than the brake control handle. The ability to control the carburetor choke is necessary to facilitate starting a “cold” two-stroke engine at low temperatures. When you press the handle, the carburetor choke closes, which enriches the working mixture with fuel and makes it easier to start the moped engine.

2.3 Kick starter

The kick starter foot is located on the variator cover of the engine-transmission unit at the bottom left side of the moped. The kick starter is designed to start the engine in the cold season after long-term parking, the first start of the engine after long-term storage of the scooter, as well as in the event of a low battery.

Attention! Using a kick starter requires some skill and dexterity. Carefully study the procedure for starting the engine using a kick starter, outlined in the section “Basics of moped operation.”

2.4 Luggage box

To transport small oversized cargo, the moped is equipped with a special luggage box located under the seat. The box is equipped with a lock located on the left side of the moped. The lock is opened with the same key that is used to turn on the ignition. To open the box, insert the key into the lock and turn it clockwise until it clicks, then carefully fold the seat back towards the steering wheel. To close the drawer, return the seat to its original position and gently push it back until the latch engages.

Attention! Do not overload the luggage compartment. The weight of the load should not exceed 5 kg. Do not transport items that are sensitive to high temperatures, explosions or fire hazards in the luggage compartment, as The box is located in close proximity to the moped engine, which heats up when moving. Also, do not use the crate to transport fragile or leaking containers containing liquids. If liquid gets on parts of the electrical equipment of mopeds, it can cause a short circuit in the electrical wiring.

The moped can be equipped with an additional luggage box mounted on a special bracket at the rear of the moped. You can purchase such a box at any motorcycle accessory store and install it at the nearest service station.

Attention! The maximum weight of cargo transported in an additional luggage box must not exceed 10 kg

Glove box. Some moped models are equipped with a glove box located on the inner panel of the steering column. The box is designed to store gloves, documents and other small items. The box lock is opened with the same key used for the ignition switch.

For mopeds equipped with a two-stroke internal combustion engine, an oil tank is located inside the luggage compartment. Due to the peculiarities of its design, a two-stroke engine can operate normally only when powered by a fuel mixture consisting of gasoline and oil mixed in a certain proportion. The components of the fuel mixture are mixed in the carburetor of the moped engine. Your only task is to ensure that the moped's oil tank is always filled with oil to the level marked on the tank body with a special line. To ensure additional safety, a warning lamp for an emergency drop in the oil level in the tank must be located on the dashboard of any two-stroke moped, but it is recommended to periodically visually verify the presence of oil by opening the luggage compartment and inspecting the tank. Attention! When filling the moped with oil, use only the oils recommended in the corresponding section of the Manual!

2.5 Battery compartment

The battery compartment is located in the floor under the driver's feet and is designed to store the battery. There is also a fuse holder in the battery compartment. The fuse is designed to protect the electrical circuits of the moped from overloads.

Attention! If a fuse blows, first of all take care of eliminating the cause that caused the overload of the electrical circuit. If you are not sure that you can do this yourself, contact the service center.

Only use fuses of the correct rating. Other elements and parts of electrical equipment: relay-regulator, switch, sound signal, etc. located under plastic covers in various parts of the moped.

2.6 Engine and transmission unit

The engine and transmission unit is the “heart” of your moped. It is a combination of the internal combustion engine itself, an electric current generator, an electric starter, a variator, a centrifugal clutch and a gearbox. The engine and transmission unit is mounted between the lower frame tubes under the seat. At the rear, the engine-transmission unit is suspended from the frame using a shock absorber. The rear (drive) wheel is installed on the axis of the engine-transmission unit gearbox.


The internal combustion engine converts the energy released during fuel combustion into rotational motion of the crankshaft. From the crankshaft, a chain drive drives the camshaft, which controls the operation of the engine's intake and exhaust valves. On the axis of the crankshaft, on the right side of the block, there is a rotor of an electric current generator designed to power the electrical equipment of the moped and charge the battery. On the left side of the block on the axis of the crankshaft there is a variator drive pulley.

The two-stroke internal combustion engine, despite the fact that when installed on a moped, is visually not very different from its four-stroke “brother,” has a number of fundamental differences in design. So, for example, in a two-stroke engine there is no gas distribution mechanism; the crank mechanism, crankcase, and carburetor are designed completely differently.

The variator consists of drive and driven pulleys of variable diameter. The torque is transmitted from the drive to the driven pulley using a V-shaped rubber belt. By changing the diameters of the pulleys, the variator provides automatic control of the speed of rotation of the rear wheel of the moped depending on the speed of rotation of the crankshaft and the load on the engine.

Engine-transmission units made on the basis of a two-stroke internal combustion engine are usually equipped with a variator with a chain transmission of torque from the drive to the driven sprocket. In this case, the sprockets are also made of variable diameter (due to a multi-sectional design and spring suspension of the sections).

The centrifugal clutch ensures the transmission of torque from the driven pulley of the variator to the gears of the gearbox and then to the axis of the rear wheel when a certain rotation speed is reached. That is, when the engine has low revolutions, the rear wheel remains stationary, and as the number of revolutions increases, under the influence of the centrifugal force acting on the clutch pads, the gearbox axle engages with the driven pulley of the variator, and the wheel begins to rotate.

2.7 Brake system

The front brake device consists of a disc rigidly mounted on the front wheel, a working and master cylinder, brake linings, a fluid tube and a handle. But I have much less experience with scooters. I've ridden a scooter twice in my life.

The first time I took my license, I then wanted to understand where to start with a bike or a scooter.

And the second time, when I had already bought the first bike and they let me compare my ebrik (Yamaha ybr 125) with the Chinese 140.

I won’t discuss what is generally better for on-road and off-road. Otherwise we risk mixing together trophy raids, rally raids, expeditions, utility and sports quads, jeeps and a bunch of everything else.

The answer will be a scooter or a motorcycle.

Reason 1. Mechanics.

For what? Increase cross-country ability. The lower the tire pressure, the higher the contact patch with the road. The motor is more stable, and the rubber rows even better.

Various and controversial.

Regarding the space on the scooter, there is more of it in stock. The toilet, as the seat space is called, is a cool thing. Add a rear case or a flat floor under the steering wheel.

On the other hand, you can make a trunk, side frames and carry a bunch of things on a motorcycle. But you will have to do it yourself or buy it.

Mileage is also a controversial concept. I think you can travel 100 km on any scooter. And no more is needed. You won't be doing sports.
