Harley Davidson's line of touring motorcycles returns for 2022 with updated paint options and minor changes on three Special edition models. Models in this line form the basis of successful sales of Harley Davidson - and it is no wonder that they are presented in full in 2022: Electra Glide Standard, Road Glide Limited, Road Glide Special, Road King, Road King Special, Street Glide, Street Glide Special, and also Ultra Limited.
2022 Harley Davidson Touring Models
All 2022 Harley Davidson touring models are based on Milwaukee-Eight 45-degree V-twins. The Special and Limited versions will receive a 114-inch (1868 cc) option, while the models will be equipped with a liquid cylinder head cooling system. The remaining representatives of the touring line will receive a smaller 107-inch (1746 cc) air-cooled engine.
The chassis of these models remains unchanged for 2022: a fork with double flexible valves, emulsion rear shock absorbers and combined braking systems with ABS as standard. The RDRS suite of electronic assistants, renamed RDRS Safety Enhancement, will be available as an option for all touring models. Depending on the model, its composition may vary, but in most cases it includes tilt ABS and traction control, engine braking control, hill assist and a tire pressure monitoring system.
Harley-Davidson Dyna
The Harley Dyna series comes from the name of the city of Daytona in the state of Florida. This city is known for its racing of both cars and motorcycles; lovers of various motorcycles gathered here.
The dimensions of the Daina are not particularly different from the Sportster, but the motor in the Daina is more powerful, in addition, the engine is mounted on the frame using silent blocks and it vibrates while driving. This creates the feeling that the motorcycle is alive. Many bikers are delighted with this feature of their motorcycle.

Today there are 5 models in the Dyna series, and the differences between them are also not significant. These are the models:
- Street Bob;
- Wide Glide;
- Low Rider;
- Fat Bob;
- Dyna Switchback - for long trips.
Dyna Switchback is distinguished by its removable panniers and windshield.
The distinctive feature of these motorcycles is the speedometer, which is located on the gas tank, and the rear shock absorbers are also visible, just like on the Sportster. And under the saddle there is an angular-shaped battery box.
On Russian roads, the Dyna series is quite rare, because the price for them is much higher than for Sportsters; besides, the Dyna is not the fastest or most prestigious Harley Davidson motorcycle. The most inexpensive is Street Bob for 1,196,000 rubles, and the most expensive is Low Rider S for 1,694,000 rubles. In America, motorcycles of this series are quite popular.

Dark finish options will come in Vivid Black, Gauntlet Gray Metallic, Billiard Red, Deadwood Green Denim, and a custom Snake Venom option.
Harley-Davidson Softail
Softails are large and heavy Harley Davidson motorcycles; this series is also very rarely seen in our country. In the movie "Real Hogs" with John Travolta, this motorcycle was filmed in full swing. Externally, the motorcycles in this series look like a classic bike; it seems that the wheel is attached directly to the frame, but there are still shock absorbers here, they are located under the saddle and are not visible.
Back in the good old days, the rear wheel was simply attached directly to the frame without springs or shock absorbers, so the ride on such a motorcycle was very harsh, which led to various back problems. In memory of these difficult times for bikers, the Harley-Davidson Softail was created.
The name translates as “soft tail”, and the “dry” frame here is for decorative purposes. And the shock absorbers are mounted horizontally and spring the rear of the frame, so riding on this series of Harley Davidson motorcycles is very comfortable.
The engines in the Softail are the same as on the Dyna series motorcycles, only the engines are rigidly mounted on the frame, and there is also a balancer shaft that eliminates any vibrations.
There are 6 models of the Softail series, but there is no significant difference in technical characteristics:
- Softail Slim is the simplest model, its price is 1,620,000 rubles;
- Fat Boy is a motorcycle with a large front wheel, the price of this model is 1,769,000 rubles;
- Delux - a motorcycle with an abundance of chrome, costs RUR 1,737,000;
- Breakout is a model for faster driving, its price is 1,744,000 rubles;
- Fat Boy Special - a bike with less chrome than the Fat Boy;
- Heritage Softail Classic - costs 1,843,000 rubles, it has a high windshield and leather side saddlebags.

Lawrence has a Softail Springer with a lever fork in the old school style, they don’t make those anymore. Allen's is a simple Fat Boy. And Macy's has a Sportster 1200.

Top 10 new motorcycles from Harley Davidson
This year has been a triumph for Harley Davidson – the company has prepared many interesting new products. Let’s figure out which “iron horses” hit the roads in 2022.
Harley Davidson Pan-America 1250
This year the company decided to produce real tourist cruisers. Harley Davidson Pan-America 1250 released in early 2021. In terms of design, the motorcycle is unlike any model the company has ever produced. It features a futuristic design, high ground clearance, a larger fuel tank and an adjustable windshield. This makes it suitable for long touring trips over long distances.
Harley Davidson Custom 1250
The motorcycle has a traditional appearance. The black “Custom” has a different radiator shape, new mirrors, optics, and running boards. In addition, it is equipped with a dashboard identical to that installed on the Tourenduro, so it is logical to assume that many of the same functions that are available on the Pan America will be available on the “iron horse”: connecting a smartphone, navigation, etc. The motorcycle is equipped with suspension Showa and Brembo brakes. Engine characteristics remained at the tourenduro level.
Harley Davidson IRON 12/16
Electric motorcycle models that can be ridden by children from three to seven years old. Now there are almost no electric motorcycles on the market for young bikers, which is why the company decided on such an experiment. They have been released so far, however, in a limited edition - only 550 units. They are charged by electricity and can only work for an hour.
Harley Davidson Bronx 975
This mid-size streetfighter has an uncompromising character and performance to match. Harley-Davidson Bronx 975, combining the high torque (95 Nm) and power (115 hp) of the 975 cc Revolution Max engine with excellent handling and high technology in a modern, but deliberately brutal shell, gives new meaning to the phrase “ mid-size motorcycle."
Harley Davidson Sportster Iron 1200
In an effort to provide customers with an affordable motorcycle, the company launched this model. The heart of the new Iron 1200 is the Evolution engine with a displacement of 1200 cm3. It delivers the massive torque that the Sportster family has always been known for. The striking design of the new model and, in particular, the sporty graphics on the tank take us back to the Sportster motorcycles of the 70s. The low, Café Racer-style solo saddle, mid-mount footpegs and mini-eaphanger handlebars provide an aggressive riding position.
Harley Davidson Livewire
Truly, the future is here, and the company is proving it. The motorcycle was first presented to the public at an exhibition in Las Vegas in 2018. The 2022 Harley Davidson LiveWire is the company's powerful step toward becoming the flagship of motorcycle electrification. Everything about this model is done in the name of demonstrating the potential of electric vehicles and at the same time becoming a benchmark for other electric models that the company is currently developing. This bike is Harley's entry into a new segment of the two-wheel market, and if the LiveWire is a step into the future, that future will be electric.
Harley Davidson Streetfighter 975
Harley Davidson is trying to enter the market from the other end, working on the LiveWire electric bikes, as well as an entirely new segment - the naked streetfighter. Taking the rules of the game that Ducati, Triumph and KTM are already playing, they are building a machine around the 975cc. cm liquid-cooled engine with a 60-degree camber of two cylinders arranged in a V-shape. The engine is based on the existing 883cc Sportster engines. cm and 1200 cc. cm, and has enlarged cylinder heads. Replacing the 80s-era air intake with a new liquid-cooled engine will reduce tailpipe emissions and add horsepower, which is important to compete in this segment.
Harley Davidson Sport Glide 2021
The motorcycle is equipped with a 1746 cc engine. The bike has USB sockets, keyless ignition, LED lighting, as well as the most advanced frame the company has ever created - the advanced Softail frame. Inverted forks and fully adjustable monoshock rear suspension provide the perfect combination of comfort and sporty ride characteristics. And the rigidly mounted Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine with balance shaft delivers breathtaking power worthy of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The New Milwaukee-Eight Screamin Eagle 131 Engine
In conclusion, it is worth mentioning the company’s most powerful development in 2021 – The New Milwaukee-Eight Screamin Eagle 131 Engine. The numbers in the name indicate the displacement in cubic inches, equivalent to 2147 cc. This is Harley-Davidson's largest and most powerful road bike engine and can replace the "regular" Milwaukee Eight unit on Touring bikes. The new product is installed bolt-on, that is, without any additional modifications, and is aimed at an audience that wants a higher-speed unit that can give a good kick from cruising speeds - after all, it develops 123 hp. and 178 Nm at the rear wheel.

Harley-Davidson V-Rod
The V-Rod series are considered the fastest and most powerful Harley Davidson motorcycles. Even engineers from Porsche took part in the creation of this series.
There are only 2 models in this series: Night Rod and Muscle.
The Night Rod is a classic V-Rod, designed to allow the bike to achieve maximum speed while engineers worked to lower the center of gravity. A new engine was developed in which the cylinder camber angle became 60 degrees, and in classic Harley Davidson engines the camber angle is always 45 degrees.
In addition, in order to further reduce the center of gravity, the engineers placed the gas tank under the saddle, and in place of the gas tank there is a regular fairing that covers the air filter. The result is a Harley Davidson motorcycle, which has excellent stability on a straight road and in corners.
The second model, the V-Rod Muscle, differs from the Night Rod in that the Muscle has exhaust pipes on both sides, while the Night Rod has 2 mufflers on one side. Also, the external design is slightly different for these models.
You can identify a V-Rod by the radiator that is installed in the front; the Softail, Dyna and Sportster do not have a radiator, because their engines are cooled by air while driving. But the engine in the V-Rod has a liquid cooling system, like in a car. Such tricks had to be done in order to increase the power of these motorcycles; in the V-Rod it is 120 hp. With. And the greater the power, the more efficient the cooling system must be. Prices for these Harley Davidson motorcycles start at RUB 1,687,000 for the 2022 Muscle model.
