- Irbis ATV 110 was my first ATV, which was given to me for my birthday. During its operation, one problem arose, namely, when driving at a speed of about 50 kilometers per hour, the right rear wheel of the ATV flew off. Thanks to the fact that I was driving along the swamp, neither I nor the equipment was injured, although if this had happened on solid ground, the consequences would have been completely different. The plastic surprisingly withstood the impact, and no cracks even appeared. Having examined everything more closely, I realized that the wheel was simply not tightened enough, now I check the bolts before every ride. This case was the only one when the ATV failed, but in the future no similar or other situations were encountered, which is undoubtedly encouraging. The factory drawback of the model is the standard battery, in my opinion, it is very weak.
- I used this ATV for 3 years and during all this time I found almost all of its shortcomings. Let me start with the fact that the ATV has a weight limit, that is, if a person’s weight is more than 50 kilograms, then there is a risk of deformation of the frame or it will simply burst (looking ahead, I would like to add that I sold it precisely because of this, the frame burst in 3 places). The luggage platforms on the model are not at all intended for transporting goods; rather, they are a decorative element. But still, if you decide to transport anything on them, then prepare for the fact that they will simply be torn off. The speedometer shows the wrong speed, and the mileage counter resets to 50 when reaching 60 kilometers. The wiring is not insulated from water, which is why, during hard use, malfunctions in electrical appliances can occur (one of my headlights failed). In principle, the Irbis ATV 110 is quite a good option as a first car.
- I purchased this ATV in 2014. Reliability seems to be beyond doubt, but there are still some disadvantages to this model. The plastic is very durable in places, but on the running boards it seems completely different. After several trips, the footpegs had to be replaced, so I made metal ones. The design does not protect much from dirt, so you need to go off-road either in special equipment, or be content with driving on other terrain. At high speeds, vibration occurs, which is why some bolts may unscrew on their own. Among the advantages, I would like to highlight the excellent suspension, which, while being stable, also provides high comfort, since small irregularities are not felt at all. The engine is very torquey for its size, even on dirt it performs well. By the way, the engine is really reliable, it performed maintenance extremely rarely and overheated about 3 times, but this did not in any way affect its performance.
Operating experience
According to the owners, the Chinese ATV has few advantages, or rather, practically none. It is impossible to call the model safe or reliable. During operation, users encountered the following problems:
- Poor build quality . The bolts and other components on the new unit are not fully tightened. When driving, due to vibration, the bolts are unscrewed.
- Low load capacity. The critical weight for the apparatus frame is 50 kg. Even under such a load, the structure begins to deform and crack.
- Poor quality plastic. The body of the equipment literally crumbles from the slightest impact.
- Low service life . Within half a year, the owner will face serious damage. The wiring, electronics, engine fail, wheels fall off, etc.
