Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade sports motorcycle model
appeared on the market in 2004, replacing the Honda CBR954RR Fireblade. Unlike the previous version, the new model received a number of technical differences and features of the RC211V racing prototype - a new frame, suspension and engine, a new braking system with radial calipers, an electronic steering damper (Honda Electronic Steering Damper - HESD), an injector with dual throttle valves (Dual Stage Fuel Injection - DSFI), etc.
In 2006, the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade was restyled, receiving a slightly updated appearance, a modified engine (different cylinder head ports, larger intake valves, increased compression ratio, modified valve timing), a new exhaust, new chassis geometry, different rear suspension settings and increased brakes. discs at the front.
In 2008, the model undergoes major changes that affected the appearance and technical part - a new engine, new control unit settings, an updated inertial charging system (Ram-Air), a new exhaust, a slipper clutch with an assistant, a new lightweight frame.
2009 was marked by the appearance of versions with a combined braking system + ABS (such modifications were designated CBR1000RA
).
At the end of 2011, Honda updated the Fireblade again, offering a new design of the motorcycle, a new Big Piston front fork, new wheels and a new generation of software for the combined brake system.
In 2014, in addition to the basic version of the motorcycle, Honda released a “racing” modification to the market - Honda CBR1000RR SP
. It features original colors, minor changes to the engine, Ohlins suspension, Brembo monoblock brake calipers and combined ABS as stock.
In 2022, another update of the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade was released. The model received a new design, a new engine version, an electronic throttle, the ability to select engine operating modes (Honda Selectable Torque Control - HSTC) and a fuel tank reduced to 16 liters. Modification of Honda CBR1000RR SP
also updated with Ohlins Smart EC electronic suspension, a titanium fuel tank, a lighter lithium-ion battery and a quick shifter as standard.
In 2022, Honda completely updates the model, releasing new versions with new names. So, the standard model is now called Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade
, and the SP version is
Honda CBR1000RR-R SP Fireblade
. In addition to the updated appearance, the model received a completely new frame, engine (maximum power increased to 217 hp), updated suspension (Showa BFRC-Light shock absorber at the rear, SP version - second generation Öhlins S-EC electronic suspension), brakes ( the diameters of the front discs increased from 320 to 330 mm, the SP version began to be equipped with new Brembo Stylema calipers), the width of the rear tire increased from 190 to 200 mm. The new model also received a 5-inch color display.
At the end of 2022, Honda introduced the new generation CBR1000RR-R Fireblade for the 2022 model year. The bike received an updated design, aerodynamic optimization (technologies from MotoGP 2018), optimized engine settings for improved low and mid-range performance (43 tooth rear sprocket, upgraded airbox, cylinder head intakes and exhaust) and a 6-level IMU for faster performance. and precise operation of electronic assistants. 30th Anniversary version was also offered
in honor of the model's 30th anniversary.

EICMA 2022: Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade 2022 with 217.5 hp!
Well, the EICMA 2022 exhibition has officially started, and immediately all the motorcycle manufacturers poured out their new products on us. One of the most significant and still hidden from view was the 2022 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade.
For more than a year, fans of the brand have been wondering what it will be? And most of them, including foreign media, assumed that the new Fire would receive a V4 engine, but as it turned out, this was not part of the plans of Honda engineers.
The 2022 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade has an ultra-modern and very short-stroke inline-four engine with a displacement of 999.9 cm³, and its stroke and piston diameter (81 x 48.5 mm) are the same as the RC213V-S.
The new engine produces 113 Nm of torque at 12,500 rpm and 217.5 hp. at 14,500 rpm, which is written in the official Honda press release, and not 215, as most of the motorcycle media write. In addition, we ourselves personally saw the new Fire, and listened to a long press conference where its power was clearly stated.
Thus, the new Honda Fireblade 2022 takes the brand to a new level, especially in sports, which means that watching the WSBK, BSB and EWC championships in 2020 will be much more interesting.
Many complained that the previous generation of the car was not only nervous, but also unstable. The engineers listened to the racers and the first thing they did to the chassis was lengthen the swingarm by 30.5 mm, and also increase the wheelbase by 48 mm.
As for the suspension, the regular version uses 43 mm forks and Showa monoshock, but the “SP” version offers electronic suspension from Öhlins. There are no questions about the brakes at all, but again only for the SP version, where Brembo Stylema monoblock calipers are installed, but in the regular version you get four-piston Nissin ones.
The 2022 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade was equipped with a 6-axis IMU, which made it possible to add the ability to control sliding when turning, which is exactly what the Ducati DSC (Ducati Slide Control) system does.
In addition, of course, there is all the other electronics that are now equipped with absolutely all top motorcycles, so there is no point in listing corner ABS and other blippers.
If we look at the specification, Honda has finally made a worthy competitor to the Ducati Panigale V4, Yamaha R1M, Aprilia RSV4, BMW S1000RR, etc., which is good for motorsports and competition.
But if you look at it in person, the design is, to put it mildly, not very good, and I would say that this is the most terrible Fireblade in the history of the brand. Why not just take the successful execution of last year's fire, on the basis of which, from a design point of view, many successful models were built?
There is no answer to this question yet, but believe me, it will be given by the market, which has a lot of ordinary consumers who will drive it around the city and periodically go to the track. Although no, they won’t, they will buy something nicer, and then we will see a new face of the Fireblade, built anew, and not based on the 2013 CBR600RR.

Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade reviews:
Expand Collapse
The 2008 Fireblade CBR 1000 RR is the friendliest and best-handling liter sportbike around. Friendly doesn't mean boring. It’s just that, compared to other sports, it handles better and more predictably, reacts more smoothly to the throttle and turns into turns. Impressions: of course, at first, especially on the first trip to public roads, I put aside the bricks and pulled on the diaper. Then I got used to it. The thing about sports is that it provokes. I planned to drive carefully and get a license and license plate. After a month, I stopped thinking about such nonsense. Imagine that the throttle reacts to every millimeter of rotation. Imagine the traction reserve at any speed, even 200 km/h. Imagine 2.5 seconds. up to 100 km/h from standstill. In fact, it's hard to imagine until you try the 2008 Model of the most successful Fireblade. The fact that the current 2012 fire model has remained virtually unchanged compared to 2008 (actually only the shock absorbers were changed) only proves the perfection of this model. 1) CBR1000RR Fireblade 2008 Japanese version - strangled, do not take it, because they climbed into it with unknown curvature with their hands to “strangle”. 2) CBR1000RR Fireblade 2008 American version is identical to the European one, but does not have an immobilizer and has stupid reflectors on the sides. 3) CBR1000RR Fireblade 2008 European, also known as the Russian dealer version - the most correct: full-power 178 hp, with an immobilizer. 4) CBR1000RR Fireblade 2008 was eligible for a free clutch replacement campaign if you have a European model. or Russian motorcycle, they will do it for you in any salon, but not a single problem is known for those who have not completed this campaign. 5) CBR1000RR Fireblade 2008 has a persistent myth that it “eats oil.” I heard that this problem only occurs in track conditions, when driving in the red zone of the tachometer. During normal city-highway driving, with periodic accelerations “under three hundred,” there is no one who is oil-guzzling, this is a myth.
OPERATING PROBLEMS. Honda does not cause any problems, provided that the fluids are changed when required. The best condition of a Honda engine is “nobody climbed into it,” so I once again warn you against buying Japanese fire engines, where they inevitably climbed for “breathing.”
My opinion is the pros and cons of Honda:
1. The first and biggest + is that it steers an order of magnitude better than the Rka and many other motorbikes I’ve ridden. 2. Engine;
very juicy middle somewhere from 4500 the sound begins to change and soon you get quite a kick and in order for the front wheel not to come off the asphalt, all you have to do is slightly release the gas even in second gear (read the wheel in second does not ride up, and if it does lift up, then lightly press the rear brake without releasing the gas, and return it to the ground. Disadvantages:
1. The most significant disadvantage is the weaker front brakes, despite the fact that there are reinforced hoses (the brakes on the brake lever are better, there is a stock Brembo machine and 6-piston calipers). By the way, the rear brakes on the cbr are also weaker than on the R1 09, maybe I’m just not used to the rear ones . , released the clutch, but I lightly touch the bot's paw upwards, it turns out that there is some kind of lack of speed. You let go and add gas and the speed comes on. But I think this is a matter of habit and you need to work more clearly with your left foot.
