Hi all! Last year I definitely decided for myself that I should start riding a motorcycle! I wanted to buy both a new motor and a used one. The budget was 70k. I surfed Avito, went shopping - in our city you can only buy Chinese or ybr125 new; In general, you can’t buy a used one in normal condition for that kind of money, and even for a lot of money. I don't like Ybr's appearance. In short, I thought, I thought, I bought Stels: I bought it last June, almost a year and 2000 km have passed. In fact, the run-in has just ended. What I realized this year: 1. the motorcycle has advantages and disadvantages 2. I don’t regret the purchase one bit 3. I personally want something more solid, more solid! Not because it’s Chinese and it breaks, but because I just want to!
Now everything is in order... First, I will write down probably well-known shortcomings and the cost of eliminating them: 1. the valves on the motorcycle were pinched when purchased. How it manifested itself: you eat, eat - everything is OK, and then you let off the gas and it does not slow down (There are a lot of video instructions on this topic on the Internet, I watched it, set everything up myself, the problem was solved! Price: 0 rub. 2. the carb is poorly configured ( Manifested in the following: after high speeds you let off the gas, and sometimes it stalls. The solution is very simple: I turned the quality screw, which is on the right and looks down, I think I don’t remember tightening it anymore. Price: 0 rubles. 3. The chain was stretching. I tightened it several times. It stretched - it seemed to have stopped , I hope it won’t tear! Price: 0 rubles. 4. From under the wheels, the engine in front and the shock absorber in the rear are covered with mud. Solution - I bought a set of mud flaps, cut them out, fixed them in the front and back) Price: 210 rubles. approximately. 5. The most moronic problem: for maintenance in the store checked the valve clearances - they forgot the clamp from the gas line under the plug in the engine!!! After them, I double-checked everything myself and found it, I was lucky that it wasn’t wound there! The price of such a service: 2500 rubles, my service is 0 rubles. If I had known, I would not have trusted motorcycle to the officials 6. There is a small knock on bumps - this is the floating brake caliper knocking against its limiter. There’s nothing you can do about it, although it’s a little infuriating) 7. The bottom screw from the carb turned out to be torn off, I noticed this by chance. But nothing leaked or fell off anywhere. Again, I blame the mechanics who carried out maintenance on me (I found another, old one in the garage, screwed it in. Price: 0 rubles. 8. Rubber g... I haven’t changed it yet. Well, that’s all. It would seem that eight positions are quite a lot! But they are all easy have been cured and are not critical, you can drive.
Now about the advantages: 1. The most important advantage of this motorcycle is its price! 2. Fuel consumption! A small engine eats just a little bit!) 3. Maintainability. I have personally seen at least 3 videos on valve adjustment. The motorcycle is a success, and in the era of modern technology, it is not difficult for people to film it and post it online. You won’t find so many detailed videos for any Japanese person. 4. Spare parts and consumables are not difficult to obtain. I noticed that the chain guide was worn out by half, I went and ordered a new one, they brought it to me in 3 days and for 350 rubles. Fast and not expensive. 5. It’s light and maneuverable – perfect for the city!
Is this motorcycle worth buying? This question concerns exclusively beginners who want to try moving around the city using this type of transport! An experienced biker with experience will certainly not understand the advantages of owning such a motorcycle, and that’s right, that’s the way it should be! But for a person who has doubts and wants to try to discover something new in today’s difficult financial conditions, this motorcycle will definitely be the best option! In my opinion - definitely YES, it's worth buying! A minimum of problems and problems were identified and all of them are mainly related to dealers who poorly prepare these motorcycles for sale.
The motorcycle is exclusively for the city, light and maneuverable, and does not pretend to have super-fast characteristics. I tried to accelerate it on the highway - it’s not comfortable to drive more than 100 - the wind blows away! (It’s great to drive around the city in traffic!
Everyone criticizes Chinese technology, but everyone uses it. I have heard more than once about factory defects in other equipment, not Chinese. Here, as they say, depending on your luck. I think this way: I bought a motorcycle, rode it for a season, gained some skills, then I’ll sell it if I want, I’ll keep it if I want, but it’ll honestly be a pity to sell it!
PS: I recently went to one of the Tver motorcycle showrooms... There are three of these motorcycles in different colors. No other model offers such variety! What does this mean? Demand creates supply! People liked this technology and could afford it!

The appearance of the Stealth Flex 250 motorcycle in many details resembles its predecessor in the form of the Stels Flame 200 last year, but at the same time the new bike has become much sportier, received elements of its own style, in particular the original front and rear optics, as well as a “cosmic” plastic body kit that gives the motorcycle a little neat aggression and dynamism. The STELS Flex 250 is based on a modified steel frame from last year, which has a welded tubular structure. The changes made increased the strength of the frame, which made it possible to install a more powerful engine, which we will talk about a little later, and also made it possible to attach more elements of the aerodynamic body kit.
The overall characteristics of the Stealth Flex 250 motorcycle fit well into the standards of the small-capacity segment, in which the Flex 250, according to the manufacturer, should become one of the most popular motorcycles of the year in our country. The length of the bike is 2085 mm, the width (at the mirrors) is 740 mm, and the total height (at the top edge of the mirrors) is 1040 mm. The wheelbase length is 1402 mm. The curb weight of the motorcycle does not exceed 146 kg. The STELS Flex 250 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with 100/80 front tires and 140/60 rear tires.
Regarding the technical characteristics of the Stealth Flex 250 motorcycle, we can say that the new product is equipped with a four-stroke single-cylinder gasoline engine with a displacement of 225 cm3. The completely new engine is equipped with reliable carburetor power, an air cooling system, a modern electric starter and electronically controlled contactless ignition (CDI). The maximum power of this engine is 15.8 hp. at 7000 rpm, but the peak torque falls at 17.5 Nm and is achieved already at 5500 rpm. The engine is very reliable and durable, as it recently launched its own production of motors with a high level of quality control. Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not report the dynamic characteristics (acceleration, maximum speed) of the new product, so it is not yet possible to judge the speed capabilities of the bike; you will have to wait for independent tests and reviews from motorcyclists themselves. Also, the fuel consumption of the STELS Flex 250 remains unknown. Meanwhile, we note that the new product prefers AI-92 gasoline, and the fuel tank holds about 18 liters.
The engine of the Stealth Flex 250 motorcycle is equipped with a five-speed manual transmission (scheme: 1-N-2-3-4-5), equipped with a multi-plate clutch operating in an oil bath. Torque is transmitted to the rear drive wheel via a roller chain drive. Due to its low weight and decent torque, the new motorcycle has unsurpassed stability, very good driving characteristics and high maneuverability, which will clearly be a plus in dense city traffic, especially for those who have recently gotten behind the wheel of a motorcycle for the first time.
The front suspension, adapted to urban driving conditions, is based on an inverted telescopic fork with two spring-hydraulic shock absorbers. At the rear, a traditional, reliable pendulum suspension design with one spring-hydraulic shock absorber is used. On both wheels, the manufacturer installed single-disc hydraulic brake systems with two-piston aluminum calipers.
To date, only one version of the standard configuration is known, the list of additional equipment of which includes rear-view mirrors and a set of motorcycle tools. However, for an entry-level motorcycle, and especially for a novice motorcyclist, nothing more is required. The price of the STELS Flex 250 motorcycle from official dealers starts at 64,900 rubles, but may be slightly higher due to dealer markups.
