The basis of the Honda CB500X was a specially developed in-line 2-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with a volume of 471 cm³, producing about 43 hp. power and 43 Nm of torque. Maximum engine performance is from 7000 to 8500 rpm. This engine was subsequently installed on the Honda Rebel 500 model.

In 2016, the Honda CB500X model underwent a slight restyling, slightly changing the appearance, slightly increasing the capacity of the fuel tank, increasing the height of the windshield, receiving a new fork (with preload adjustment), as well as LED optics and adjustment of the front brake lever.

In 2022, the motorcycle receives a more massive exhaust and updates to meet the new Euro 4 environmental requirements.

At the beginning of 2022, the Honda CB500X model is being restyled, receiving new wheels, a new exhaust, new suspension and engine settings, LED optics, and a color display.

In September 2022, Honda introduced the updated 2022 CB500X. The main changes were an inverted fork and a dual-disc brake system at the front.

The main features of the model include a steel frame, simple suspension in the form of a conventional telescopic fork at the front and a progressive monoshock absorber at the rear, disc brakes (there are versions with ABS), fuel injection, 6-speed gearbox, 17.5 liter fuel tank and up to 196 kg curb capacity. masses.

Motorcycle Honda CB 500X 2022 review

The description of the Honda CB 500X 2022 motorcycle is in the queue for publication of the article. Announcement: Today, for almost every new motorcycle that comes into being, marketers strive to carve out their own niche. This one is a road sport, this one is a recreational enduro. But what class should we include a motorcycle that has a little bit of everything? A good bike should have a reliable engine, comfortable ergonomics and simple controls...

Honda CB 500X is a motorcycle not sold in Russia, equipped with a high-power 46.9 hp engine. Despite the fact that good models of motorcycles have a very respectable price, and the season for their use is relatively short, the motorcycle market is developing rapidly. And if you believe the words of dealers, then some models of recently released motorcycles are selling like hot cakes at the beginning of the season, and the models brought to Russia are clearly not enough to fully satisfy consumer demand.

A motorcycle has long ceased to be an alternative to a car, and the times when this equipment was bought only because there was not enough money for a full-fledged car are forgotten. Nowadays, two-wheelers can be called technological marvels in many cases, and their cost can be compared with that of prestigious cars.

Many people have started buying motorcycles for hobby purposes as riding or even collecting them has become a good pastime for many people. Many motorcycles, for example the Honda CB 500X, whose technical characteristics make it possible to call the model a prestigious brand, are in demand among both beginners and experienced motorcyclists.

Motorcycles with an engine capacity of 471 cc / 28.7 cu-in. see, appeared as a result of long work of inventors who sought to create a model that was not inferior in characteristics to other versions of the motorcycle. In some cases, these models are not only not inferior, but also ahead of other motorcycles, as they have minimal fuel consumption and other excellent parameters.

Motorcycles with an engine capacity of more than 400 kb. cm, which includes the Honda CB 500X - this category of motorcycles simply cannot claim the title of “motorcycle for a beginner.” On the contrary, this is already a serious technique that requires certain control of motorcycle equipment with a smaller engine capacity. Yes, she attracts more attention, she is the most beautiful, fast, interesting and there is a huge selection of models. But as power increases, the weight of the motorcycle inevitably increases. In this class you are unlikely to find motorcycles lighter than 180 kg, unless they are the latest motorcycle models.

Dimensions and weight

As befits a classic road motorcycle, the CB 500 has medium dimensions. The length of the bike reaches 2090 mm. Its width is 720 mm and its height is 1160 mm. The wheelbase dimensions of this model are 1435 mm, and its seat height is 775 mm. Without fuel, the motorcycle weighs 179 kg, while its tank capacity reaches 18 liters. About 5 liters of gasoline are consumed per 100 km of road.

Suspension

In general, everything is fine with her. A city bike is a lot more than you can ask of it. It behaves cool on asphalt and will follow the path. Although it is not intended for traveling on country roads. In general, it is better to stick to the asphalt and only leave it if there is no other option. There was also a rodeo effect when the asphalt deflected or the impacts created by the roots. The butt loses contact with the seat for a moment. Even fun

Brakes

The braking system is of course equipped with ABS, which works quite brutally. In the video review you will see a brief sample of his dry work. However, it should be noted that like other Honda 500 series it could be a little better. True, I felt much less on this bike because the bike encourages a fairly quiet ride, but still 2 fingers on the handle. Well, you could work on system performance here. But who knows, maybe it’s again a habit of heavier motorcycles with more capacity and leaner ones to ride.

… the motorcycle is not suitable for riding in the rain

I absolutely do not recommend it for driving in the rain. I haven't been able to get wet that quickly on a motorcycle, but I couldn't do it in this case. This is due, among other things, to the fact that the motorcycle is low and we have an upright position on it. Not only does the CMX500 direct streams of millet water into the legs, but the water also flows downwards, from the person’s chest to the perineum. The shoes immediately get wet, the rest also quickly fall into the water. I’ll repeat here - I’ve never gotten wet so quickly on any other motorcycle.
