The SF Moto 500 model can be an excellent option both for extreme recreation, which includes off-road riding, and for performing some utilitarian tasks. The ATV has a fairly high cross-country ability; it is able to overcome snow-covered areas and impassable fields without much difficulty. As standard, the equipment is equipped with a comfortable double seat, allowing you to comfortably accommodate a passenger. CF MOTO CF500-2A also has a backrest for the passenger, special handrails and footrests. One of the distinguishing advantages of this machine from the basic ATV is the use of an extended wheelbase. This decision had a positive impact on many factors, including safe and stable control of the equipment at a fairly high speed.

Last weekend, with my motorcyclist friends, in a cheerful crowd, we celebrated Maslenitsa (seeing off the winter) We got out of town and rented a cottage. Well, off we go! Booze, barbecue, bathhouse, all sorts of crazy things like jumping in snowdrifts and other joys. Oh! I got carried away and left the topic (I could write a separate post about how great the weekend was). It was there that I was able to get closer to this miracle of Chinese quad construction, the merits of which, according to the assurances on the websites, are recognized not only in Russia, but also in the USA, Europe and Australia. So meet CFmoto 500 2A

The quad's appearance is quite nice. At a low price of 225 thousand (+ -) it has a rich filling. In the database: winch, alloy wheels, aggressive high-grip tires, turn signals, horn, emergency stop signal, rear-view mirrors, 2 sealed glove compartments, cigarette lighter, second passenger backrest. For extra money you can treat yourself to camouflage paint (+5000 thousand rubles), high windproof glass and other bonuses, but I won’t talk about them, because they were not installed on this example.

Weighing 340 kilograms, the four-stroke 493cc single-barrel with a liquid cooling system produces 35 horsepower. This is not much, but it is quite enough to please ATV professionals and at the same time be loyal to beginners. The wedge-shaped variator is essentially easy to use, But!!! The first fly in the ointment: sometimes switching the gearbox selector is a whole hemorrhoid. For example, you need to turn around on a narrow alley, you start trying to move the lever to the “R” position in order to reverse, when you finally succeed, you start trying to move it back to “H”. It’s terribly angry! Although this is only possible on this quad.

The equipment accelerates quite normally up to 60, then it becomes a bit difficult. It’s quite possible that this is because the much-vaunted rubber becomes plastic in the cold and doesn’t grip very well. But for that, drifting on a flat surface is a great pleasure. But only EXACTLY! Otherwise, the tires may catch and tumble the show-off drifter. And the soft suspension rolls more when cornering.

Unfortunately, we did not find a place for a full test drive of the off-road qualities of the ATV, but along the snow-covered alley of the garden society, we (with the second number) easily and naturally made our way on standard all-wheel drive, without resorting to the help of lowering. The drive can be adjusted from rear-wheel drive to all-wheel drive with a locking center differential.

The front hydraulic brakes stop quite well, but the rear brakes do absolutely nothing.

In general, despite the shortcomings, I liked the quadric. It is inexpensive compared to its competitors (by the way, this device with a mileage of only 400 km was sold for 170) It can provide good entertainment. In short, if I had the money, I would take it for weekend entertainment, as a treatment for motor toxicosis.

PS I hope I will still have the opportunity to test it in mud conditions, because judging by the reviews of experts on the websites, the quad copes well with them.

Currently, there are a large number of ATVs of varying prices on the motorcycle market. This ATV is in the price range from 325 thousand rubles to 500 thousand Russian rubles. The price, like for any other equipment, is calculated taking into account the year of production and configuration. It should be noted that with an additional fee, the CF MOTO CF500-2A ATV can have one of several colors provided by the manufacturer, including camouflage.

This model can be found even cheaper on the used equipment market. Here, depending on the same year of manufacture, technical condition and mileage, the SF Moto 500 ATV can have a cost ranging from 220 thousand rubles to 310 thousand Russian rubles.

  1. I bought this one in 2015. The ATV is very good and playful, its acceleration to hundreds took about 14 seconds. Management is quite simple and convenient, maintenance will also not cause problems, but in financial terms it is quite a hassle. Equipment often requires replacement of consumables, the cost of which is sometimes not very adequate. Improvements will also be expensive, for example, I bought a 45-liter trunk for 7,500 rubles. An additional headlight cost me 4,000 rubles. The ATV feels very good on almost any surface, with the exception of the winter season. A small track has a negative impact on driving in snow, since the car can easily sit on its belly. Due to its low weight, the ATV cannot push through the snow, which is why it gets stuck. By the way, when climbing a hill, you need to be as careful as possible, because due to its torque, the quad can easily turn over; I once almost flew away.
  2. SF Moto 500, in my opinion, is one of the best in its price segment. The device performed well off-road. Once, with a very good friend, we decided to go fishing, of course on an ATV. On the way, we came across a swamp in which this car could easily have gotten stuck. But still we decided to try at our own peril and risk. The wheels were almost completely gone, but that didn’t stop me from getting out of the swamp. The equipment was able to move out slowly but surely. After that, I really appreciated all its driving characteristics, which, by the way, are simply excellent. Another plus I would like to note is the excellent dynamics and traction force. Overall, I really liked the model.

The key was not beveled much. Ate the adjusting washers. I found out where to look for metal shavings in the engine. To do this, drain the oil and unscrew the speed sensor because It is magnetic and all the chips stay on it.
