The Polaris Sportsman Touring 570 ATV is a utilitarian model that can be used for any fishing and hunting trips, as well as for outdoor activities and off-road driving. It should be noted that in 2014 the manufacturer carried out a fairly thorough modernization of this model. The existing shortcomings have been almost completely corrected. Initially, the equipment was equipped with a power unit with a displacement of 500 cubic meters, however, after modernization, engines with a displacement of 567 cubic meters appeared in the line. The fuel system was also changed; instead of a carburetor, the engine received an injector, which had a positive effect on increasing power and reducing fuel consumption.

The new engine, with its displacement, is capable of developing a rated output power of 44 horsepower or 32.4 kilowatts. Traditionally, for such equipment, the power plant can be started in two ways: using an electric starter or using a manual one. In addition to engine consumption, the duration of trips is also ensured by a fairly large fuel tank, with a calculated volume of 17 liters.

The ATV is equipped with a comfortable double seat. The equipment has average overall dimensions, namely the length of the model is 2184 millimeters, and the height and width are equal to 1219 millimeters. The length of the wheelbase is 1422 millimeters. Polaris Sportsman Touring 570 has a fairly modern and stylish design, which seems to emphasize its character. The case is made very ergonomically and has increased impact resistance. All this together makes this ATV stand out from many models, both from this manufacturer and from others.

For convenience, I divided my ATV models into classes. ATVs of the Polaris Sportsman Touring class are utilitarian 4-wheeled models with a two-seater version. Manufacturers in this line of ATVs place the main emphasis on comfort. They are equipped with comfortable seats, wide footrests and vibration-absorbing handles. These are universal ATVs with high cross-country ability, which are perfect for fishing, hunting and household work. Below we will present the general characteristics of models of this class.

Polaris Sportsman Touring models are available with a variety of engine sizes. The smallest engine capacity was 455 cc. see the Polaris Sportsman 400 N.O., which is no longer in production. At the moment, the largest engine displacement of Polaris Sportsman ATVs is the engine of the Polaris Sportsman Touring XP 1000 model - a whopping 952 cc. cm.

Transmission

ATVs of the Polaris Sportsman model range have both a manual circular transmission and an automatic one. ATVs with automatic transmission are among the newer models produced by the company since 2015.

Dimensions

Since the Polaris Sportsman Touring ATVs are manufactured for two passengers and are also utilitarian, this means that they have greater power and high cross-country ability. These models have large wheel diameters and impressive weight, which means corresponding dimensions.

The ATV is no longer for sale, as it was produced from 2011 to 2013. But if you buy a used model, you definitely won’t regret it.

"Polaris Sportsman 500 Touring Ho" is an excellent two-seat universal ATV with:

  • single cylinder engine;
  • engine capacity 498 cc. cm;
  • comfortable rear seat;
  • hydraulic disc brake system;
  • liquid cooling system;
  • stylish sporty design;
  • fuel tank volume is 16 liters.

Touring 550

A model of excellent design with high-quality universal capabilities, suitable for tourist trips of two people. Reliable suspension and 549 cc engine. cm allows you to quickly overcome even difficult distances. The 20-liter fuel tank is enough for long trips, and the engine's liquid cooling system will prevent it from overheating. An electric starting system, mechanical circular gearbox and hydraulic disc brakes will make extreme trips memorable and safe.

Compared to its predecessors, the Polaris Sportsman Touring 570 has an enlarged gas tank and a completely updated design.

Excellent advantage of this model:

  • one-piece and more comfortable seat for driver and passenger;

The weight of the ATV is 330 kg, it allows you to easily maneuver in difficult off-road areas. Maximum engine power reaches 44 horsepower.

The Polaris Sportsman 570 Touring EFI differs from the previous model in that it contains a powerful engine with EFI electronic fuel injection. Such careful control of the amount of fuel introduced allows you to regulate the quality of the mixture and maintain proper and durable engine operation.

The Polaris Sportsman Touring 800 has a full-size chassis and independent suspension. The device operates thanks to a 4-stroke engine with a capacity of 760 cc. cm. The model is also equipped with electronic fuel injection.

Touring 850

"Polaris Sportsman 850 Touring" has an extended base and a separate wide seat for a passenger with a soft back. It features a spacious luggage compartment, which allows you to make long trips by transport.

A powerful ATV will not allow your opponents to win during vehicle races, as the model reaches speeds of up to 75 hp. The model includes electric power steering and a damping system. Comfortable seats with a shock absorption system, stylish design and high power have allowed the steel ATV to become the favorite of many.

The most powerful model develops 88 hp. thanks to a four-stroke two-cylinder engine with a capacity of 952 cc. Electronic fuel injection and an electric start system allow you to move comfortably and safely on the unit.

  1. We purchased the quadric in the winter because we luckily came across a copy in good condition and at a fairly attractive price. Of course, the car required some investments, but not significant ones. I basically replaced all the fluids and some bearings. On the move the model is quite excellent. There seems to be no area where this ATV can't go. I have a version without power steering, however, its absence does not affect comfort in any way. Everything is quite convenient. The consumption is really not very high, the maneuverability is very good, and the seating position is comfortable.
  2. I really liked the Polaris 570. I bought it back in 2016 and am still happy with the purchase. During the entire period of operation, all sorts of malfunctions arose, but this is typical of any other equipment. The ATV did not cause any special expenses, and on the contrary, it is a little more economical. The characteristics are quite satisfactory, at least for my needs, namely for fishing trips and driving through the forest. Overall a very good model.

Updates 2021

The Sportsman 570 and 450 received a major update this season:

  • Increased suspension travel and ground clearance
  • New suspension bushings are moisture resistant
  • On EBS models the clutch has changed. It is smoother at low speeds and gives more stable control when going downhill.
  • Traction force increased from 555 to 612 kilograms
  • A new, larger capacity battery is located in the front of the ATV.
  • Reinforced luggage racks with extensions

The new Sportsman 570 Hunt Edition features double A-arm suspension, adjustable shock absorbers, camouflage plastic, and a shotgun holder.

The 2022 Polaris Sportsman 850 Ultimate Trail Edition is built to go fast on challenging trails. It has sealed bushings, increased ground clearance thanks to specially shaped A-shaped suspension arms, and the shock absorber springs are painted light green. The package also includes 27-inch tires, a reinforced front bumper, and a Bluetooth-enabled dashboard.

Beauty matters

The exterior of the Polaris Ranger 570 is definitely pleasing to the eye. And the saying “There are no comrades according to taste” is clearly not about our subject. With his brutality, he will bribe not only men, but also their companions.

Clear cut shapes seem to emphasize the strong-willed and uncompromising character of the all-terrain vehicle, the “frowning” headlights and massive radiator grille immediately make it clear that this is not a “SUV”, but a seasoned SUV for the most serious tasks.

It is clear that the designers worked on the appearance of the Ranger 570 not in smoke breaks between other projects, but for a long time and painstakingly, bringing every touch to perfection. This is understandable, because appearance is one of the decisive criteria in the question of whether to buy or not to buy.

The load capacity of the dump body is almost 230 kilos! So even a very large trophy can be achieved by “Ranger”.

The Ranger 570 SUV, we repeat, is clearly a utilitarian UTV, as evidenced not only by the tipper body, but even by the seat. If in the same Polaris RZR we see two separate sports “buckets” for the steering wheel and the passenger, then in our case it is a single sofa, like in a truck. But despite the fact that the Ranger has a full-width monolithic seat, there are only two seats: for the pilot and the navigator. In theory, you can seat a child in the middle, but there are no seat belts to fasten a young passenger.

In terms of options, the Ranger 570 all-terrain vehicle is not stuffed with anything special:

  • Two pedals
  • steering wheel,
  • gear selector,
  • dashboard,
  • ignition switch (also the headlight switch),
  • 12 Volt socket
  • and a drive system selection button.

In general, quite ascetic. But almost all famous brands do not pamper their customers with “full stuffing”. However, if you the Polaris Ranger 570 not as a show car, but as a machine for hunting in deep off-road conditions, then all you need to add to it is an electric winch.

Technologies

Variable speed drive. As befits all-wheel drive ATVs, Polaris Sportsman uses a CVT transmission. It is so easy to use that even those who have never driven a motorcycle can operate it.

AWD. Automatic all-wheel drive makes it easy to drive through mud, sand and difficult terrain. The car activates the necessary systems without driver intervention.

Integrated heated steering and throttle grips are used in bad weather and are especially important for all-season ATV riders.

ADC. Automatic descent control on Polaris ATVs applies four-wheel braking when driving downhill. For the system to work, four conditions must be met: the switch is in the 4x4 ADC position, the speed is up to 25 km/h, the gear is engaged, the gas is closed.

Let's say you have an ATV in your garage, what can you do with it? Well, go to the forest to stir up dirt, or hunt small game. All.

That is, in fact, the range of tasks that the Ranger 570 is truly limitless. In short, we really liked the Polaris UTV.

The excellent acceleration dynamics, comfort and legendary reliability of equipment from this brand can hardly leave anyone indifferent to this new product. And the retail price of the unit starts from a quite reasonable 599,000 rubles.

Sentence

Overall, this is a very decent and unpretentious ATV. Country trips without unnecessary problems, hunting, fishing, tourism, in the end - the Sportsman 570 will fit in everywhere. There is no exoticism and sometimes completely unnecessary revolutionaryness, so inherent, for example, in the BRP technique. And at the same time, it looks good and is well assembled, unlike many other colleagues in the shop.

A simple, reliable, economical and, most importantly, inexpensive car for every day. Without false pathos and snobbery! And in the new 2015, the 570th will receive an update: the ATV will be equipped with electric power steering, the volume of the gas tank will be increased and a few more minor changes will be made to the design. After all, as they say, improving a good thing only spoils it! /

Need for Speed

It’s hard to understand right away: how a heavy UTV with an engine capacity of only 570 cubic centimeters can “shoot” from a standstill with such agility! Other manufacturers' 800cc utility UTVs don't come close to competing with the Ranger 570 .

This is amazing: I pressed the “slipper” to the floor, and in a matter of seconds our Polaris turns into a point on the horizon. At the same time, please note that this is not a “double-barreled shotgun”, but an ordinary single-cylinder injection engine with a power of 45 “horses”.

There is a sense of great potential in the power unit, because even when the Ranger is battling severe off-road conditions, there is no hint that the engine is struggling: it does not try to slow down or ask for mercy with the characteristic knocking in the engine. Users of Chinese UTVs will understand what we're talking about better than anyone else.

The Polaris Ranger 570 EFI powertrain is located under the dump body. From a service point of view, it is a very convenient and practical solution. And the weight distribution of the UTV, thanks to this engine layout, is more than successful.

What was also surprising was the complete absence of vibrations. Usually single-cylinder engines are guilty of this, and when you saddle such a side-by-side, there is a complete illusion that you are sitting astride a washing machine operating in the “spin” mode.

How did the Polaris Ranger 570 developers manage to dampen vibrations?

  • Well, firstly, this is a smartly made and balanced motor.
  • Secondly, the engine itself is not rigidly attached to the frame, but through good damping pads, which eliminate the transmission of any vibrations from the engine to other parts of the UTV.
