I was pleasantly surprised, since I have never owned a Russian-made snowmobile. I only had used foreign models, which often broke down. I finally decided to buy a new car, but a domestic one. Over the entire period of use, I changed the variator belt three times, and also had to replace the fan belt. The machine is excellent for transporting large loads, up to 800 kg. And from the point of view of dynamics, the Taiga Patrol 550 SWT snowmobile pleasantly pleased me. You need to regularly change consumables and regularly monitor the snowmobile, and then it will definitely not cause problems. I plan to continue using the car.
- Dmitry, Krasnoyarsk. The Taiga Patrol 550SWT snowmobile made a strange impression. This is an unpredictable car that often broke down during the run-in - at the beginning of use. This device is much more powerful than my previous Buran snowmobile. After running-in, some were eliminated - oil stopped leaking, and the gearbox and engine emit less noise and vibration. Fuel consumption has decreased and maneuverability in loose snow has improved, despite the telescopic front suspension, which is considered more rigid than a linkage chassis. By the way, the rear suspension can be adjusted and thereby adapted to road conditions. The build quality has noticeably deteriorated over three months. Some parts are not fitted neatly, and this is a little annoying. But the car works and breaks down less. Let's see what will happen next.

This happened to me and my friend (we bought cars together, in the same store, and started using them almost simultaneously). This means that this is a fairly common breakdown for this model. Later I discovered that the rubber mount for the engine was missing - it flew off and got lost somewhere. The wiring burned out several times. Shock absorber struts are often capricious and need to be tightened regularly so that they don’t fall apart at all. When the tank is fully filled, the dashboard shows 50% full, or even less. Such shortcomings interfere with normal operation, and so far the machine has only caused dissatisfaction.
- Andrey, Novosibirsk. The Taiga Patrol 550SWT snowmobile was given to me in 2015 for my birthday. I still struggle with it to this day. Wiring problems and other problems often occur. Well, at least the design is simple and you can repair it yourself. And spare parts are cheap. Fuel consumption per 100 km is as much as 50 kilometers - probably due to the engine design being too old. At first, the engine coils regularly came off, but I solved this problem after replacing the coils with higher quality, imported coils. The quality of original materials is annoying; Russians still save on everything. The mediocre handling is such that there is a risk of overturning during a sharp maneuver. I recently replaced the crankshaft. I’ve somehow gotten used to the car, I’m not planning to sell it yet - it’s inexpensive to maintain.
