The ratio of gasoline and oil is the planet. The ratio of gasoline and oil for two-stroke engines. A mixture of gasoline and oil for two-stroke engines. Rules for preparing the fuel mixture

For those who don’t know, I’ll explain what a two-stroke engine is, I won’t go into too much detail, in short, there are no valves in a two-stroke engine; oil is added to gasoline to lubricate the piston and crankshaft.

Such engines are found on motorcycles (although recently four-stroke ones are used more often), chainsaws with a two-stroke engine, gas mowers, some voltage generators, etc. Owners of motorcycles, chainsaws, and gas mowers often wonder why the piston is jammed, or why the compression quickly disappears, that the engine does not start well, starts working intermittently, they remove the cylinder, the piston with large scuffs and crazy output.

I also once asked myself this question, it turned out that the whole issue is the oil with which gasoline is diluted.

There are a lot of special two-stroke oils on sale, I don’t even go near them now, this oil is not suitable for two-stroke engines developing high engine speeds.

Of course, if you have an IZH-Planet, it is a low-revving motorcycle, then you can pour two-stroke oil into gasoline, or be very gentle with your motorcycle, do not give it gas all the way, then two-stroke oil will work, but if you like to give it gas, this oil will quickly ruin the piston two-stroke group.

It seems that the developers of two-stroke oil simply invented it but did not even test it, and oils such as M8, MC20 should not be allowed close to a two-stroke engine if you like to drive, and if you do not give a lot of gas, then these oils can be used.

But they will still very quickly wear out the piston group of a motorcycle, chainsaws, gas mowers, in short, kill a two-stroke.

How I found a good motorcycle oil

During my life I have ridden different motorcycles, while I rode Minsk, Voskhod, IZH-Planet, I didn’t even think about oil, the engines worked fine. But when I bought the IZH-PS, after the first good race my piston jammed, I thought about it, there were only problems with the IZH-PS, as long as I don’t give the gas it goes all the way, but as soon as I give it the gas the piston or crankshaft jams. Disappointed in IZH-PS.

In my youth, I was involved in motocross for two years, we had cross-country ChZs, I remember there were no major problems with the piston ones, although they kicked them in the ass, oh so good, I also remember that the smell of smoke from the exhaust was very different from the usual smoke of a motorcycle. But the fool didn’t ask the coach what kind of oil he poured into the gasoline, but I know for sure that in addition to oil, he added castor oil, but since I don’t know exactly the composition of gasoline and oil for a motocross motorcycle, I won’t lie and invent anything.

I bought a cross-country ChZ-250, at first I poured two-stroke oil into the gasoline, but as soon as I gave it in, I felt that the engine was starting to drag (it might jam), I had to let off the gas and switch to moderate engine speeds.

Chance helped, I decided to go fishing on the cross-country ChZ-250, you can drive it off-road, shortening the distance, but I ran out of two-stroke oil, the question arose of what oil to dilute the gasoline with. There was only four-stroke semi-synthetic LUKOIL oil, I decided to dilute the gasoline with this oil, I think I won’t drive it, I’ll get there slowly and won’t harm the engine. But what a surprise I was when the motorcycle engine started running much softer, pulled faster, although I diluted the gasoline with four-stroke semi-synthetic oil, applied gas, beautifully, the engine was flogging and there were no signs of the piston sticking.

By the time I got to the pond, I was squeezing this cross-country ChZ-250 to the maximum, I got great pleasure from the ride, since then I have been diluting gasoline in my motorcycle and chainsaw only with four-stroke semi-synthetic oil, very pleased.

It turns out that four-stroke semi-synthetic oil is the best oil for a two-stroke engine and is cheaper than special two-stroke oil.

If you don’t believe me, check for yourself which is the best oil.

Why does a saw or motorcycle spit oil through the muffler?

Everything is fine here, I saw it like that and a motorcycle with a two-stroke engine spits out excess oil from the muffler. This means that you lightly pour oil into gasoline; if the engine is running perfectly, there is no need to worry. And if the engine floods the spark plugs, the engine starts to work intermittently, then reduce the amount of oil in gasoline by adding clean gasoline to the tank.

Gorobinsky S.V.

Household and professional chainsaws are powered by two-stroke internal combustion engines running on a dosed mixture of gasoline and motor oil adapted to difficult operating conditions. The correct proportions of oil and gasoline for a chainsaw are one of the important conditions for stable traction characteristics of the engine and low-cost development of its designated resource.

The need to obtain sufficiently high power from a small-cc power unit forces chainsaw engines to be operated at high-speed modes, so increased demands are placed on the quality of both components of the fuel mixture.

The main component of the fuel mixture for chainsaw engines is gasoline with an octane number of at least 92. Expired consumables made from gas condensate containing water and mechanical impurities are not suitable for preparing fuel.

  • The opinions of experts on the use of gasoline of different brands are ambiguous. On the one hand, it is recognized that domestic A-92 gasoline does not fully comply with European standards.
  • On the other hand, the quality of A-95 gasoline is questioned due to the high content of anti-knock additives. You can use this fuel to prepare fuel for a chainsaw only if you are completely confident in its quality.
  • The difficulty lies in the presence of various improving additives, with the help of which unscrupulous manufacturers and distributors increase the performance properties of motor gasoline with a lower octane rating.

Irreversible changes in the operating properties of fuel also occur when stored in plastic containers for a sufficiently long time, regardless of the level of its gasoline and oil resistance.

Motorcycle oil viscosity and other quality indicators

Viscosity is the most important indicator influencing the choice and quality of petroleum products. This parameter may change its value if operating temperature conditions change.

To successfully start a cold engine at low temperatures, the viscosity coefficient must be within limits that ensure free rotation of the crankshaft and easy supply of oil fluid through the channels of the engine lubrication system.

Under extreme operating conditions, on the contrary, the mixture must have a high index, otherwise it will not be able to form a durable protective coating between the contacting surfaces, and also create the required pressure in the system.

Viscosity Index Characteristics

This is a value that shows the effect of engine temperature on the viscosity of oils. Digital index indicators are relative values. The higher the number, the higher the temperature limit of the liquid used.

For mineral varieties, without improving additives, the index value is 80–100. Lubricants with viscosity modifiers and synthetic components are in the range of 125–150 units. For deeply purified materials, the coefficient can rise to 200.

Flash point

This parameter characterizes the presence of low-boiling components in the lubricating composition; its value affects the volatility of the product during operation. For benign materials, this indicator ranges from 210–225°C.

In low-quality oils, mixtures with reduced viscosity quickly burn and evaporate, which causes increased resource consumption and a decrease in its temperature characteristics.

Pour point

This is an indicator that regulates the degree of mobility of the oil fluid. The setting temperature is characterized by a rapid increase in viscosity and the release of crystallized paraffin from homogeneous mixtures.

At the end of this process, the oil becomes hard and unable to perform any functions.

Base number

TBN or alkaline coefficient shows the ability of the oil used to neutralize acidic components formed during engine operation. The alkaline index for gasoline engines is 8–9 units.

Over time, during operation, the neutralizing components lose their properties. Violation of the oil change schedule can lead to contamination of the internal surfaces of the unit and acid corrosion of the metal.

Lubricants

More stringent criteria for selecting an oil component. The best option is a mineral or semi-synthetic motor oil recommended by the manufacturer, designed for use in high-speed two-stroke air-cooled internal combustion engines.

The advantage of mineral oils is their lower cost. Their more expensive semi-synthetic and synthetic analogues compare favorably with improved performance characteristics and compliance with environmental standards.

Synthetics:

  • maintain performance properties over a wide range of operating temperatures;
  • do not form soot;
  • contain detergents, antioxidants, preservatives and other additives useful for the operation of the power unit.

General requirements

Motor oil is capable of performing all the functions assigned to it only if the design of the engine and its operational characteristics strictly correspond to the declared properties of lubricating fluids. This is the main condition that must be observed to increase the reliability of the internal combustion engine.

Modern oil compositions should have the following characteristics:

  • High cleaning ability in relation to insoluble solid deposits (carbon deposits, scale, etc.), as well as timely and complete removal of them from the friction zone.
  • Stable thermal and oxidative stability.
  • Be compatible with sealing parts (rubber, polymers, etc.).
  • Be characterized by low foaming and volatility properties (exhaust, fumes).
  • Seal the temperature gaps between the elements of the piston group and limit the exit of exhaust gases through the combustion chamber as much as possible.
  • Provide reliable protection of mechanism parts from corrosion.
  • Remove heat from the cylinder block.

The oil film on the surface of rubbing parts must have sufficient viscosity under extreme temperature conditions, and be able to provide optimal protection to metal surfaces under conditions of boundary friction and exposure to acids formed during fuel combustion.

Benefits of branded oils

Many domestic and foreign manufacturers specialize in the production of special motor oils, but the highest rating indicators are for branded products Shtil, Husqvarna and Makita.

Only in certain parameters the branded assortment is inferior to domestic motor oils of the Lukoil brand.

Taking into account external factors, the fuel mixture can be adjusted to increase the amount of oil. This need arises at the stage of a new tool, as well as at high air temperatures. In this case, the standard dosage of oil is increased by 20%.

In practice, an increase in the percentage of oil in the fuel mixture is used if its characteristics do not fully meet the stated requirements. How much oil per liter of gasoline is needed in each specific case is determined by the sawyer himself.

Dilution of gasoline with oil. (Page 1 of 2)

Hi all. Fate brought me together with a two-stroke engine with a combined lubrication system. Once we had Jupiter Dad pumping gasoline, but I don’t remember how it was small. In general, on the advice of a friend, I mix 40g of oil per liter of gasoline, is that correct? Semi-synthetic two-stroke oil.

Many people pour 50 ml (grams) per liter, personally, I always diluted it by eye by color... well, the best indicator of the correct ratio is exhaust and engine overheating..

Well, this is a 50 gram autolu, I think it’s possible) But here it’s semi-synth, I think 40 grams is fine, the engine doesn’t seem to heat up, it smokes a little, but at high speeds, at idle, at medium speeds, no smoke is visible at all. But thanks anyway) they helped me figure it out. 666 In terms of color, no, I’m not that kind of guru)) Although my dad poured glasses straight into the tank, Jupiter lived for a long time)) until they were stolen.

Re: Dilution of gasoline with oil.

You can overfill it, but there is one thing, the plug is with a resonator with partitions, over time it can get dirty from excess oil (after all, even semi-synth does not burn out completely) and there will probably be carbon deposits (especially if the oil is bad) Then the plug has to be cut and cleaned.

Re: Dilution of gasoline with oil.

1k25 is 1 liter of oil per 25 liters of gasoline. Modern oils allow a mixture of 1/50. Oil 2T, green, I poured Luxe, it’s not expensive, but I poured 1/25. The smoke is of course like that of a steam locomotive, but it’s calm for the engine. Well, you need to stir. It’s convenient to first fill in the oil, and then gasoline, close the tank and hold the brake strongly shake the steering wheel, keeping your face away from the traffic jam, maybe a fountain of pi. fuck off.

According to your mind, you need to stir it in the canister, but this way it’s faster and the oil will settle later anyway.

As for the stirring method, when I was young, I kneaded it the same way, but one day I poured oil and left it for 5 minutes, then I filled it with gasoline and the planet wouldn’t start, it turned out that the oil flowed through the tap into the carburetor, I had to remove it and wash it, now I do exactly the opposite.

Measuring containers

To maintain the correct proportion of gasoline and oil, a calculation table applied to the saw body can be used. Branded containers of leading motor oil manufacturers are equipped with built-in measuring devices that provide accurate dosage of oil for different volumes of the fuel mixture.

Measuring utensils are included in the factory kit of many budget chainsaw models. In some cases, a medical syringe with a volume of 20 cm3 will help to dilute gasoline with oil in a given proportion.

Application specifics

Motorcycle gasoline engines are divided into two- and four-stroke mechanisms. The operation schemes of each device are strictly individual.

The difference is that the lubrication of the rubbing parts of a two-stroke design is carried out using a fuel mixture, into which motor oil is added when pouring gasoline. As the motorcycle moves, the oil burns along with the fuel and does not require regular replacement.

Four-stroke engines are equipped with an autonomous lubrication system. Oil is poured into the engine crankcase, and it does not burn during operation of the unit. The main feature of this design is that the crankcase is a common reservoir for the gearbox, gearbox and clutch.

Therefore, when choosing lubricating fluids for a four-stroke engine, you need to take into account the properties of all three mechanisms.

The technical differences of both devices require the presence of motor oils of different composition in the lubrication systems of the units.

Features of preparation and storage of the fuel mixture

Safety regulations require diluting gasoline and oil in a metal canister. This eliminates the risk of static electricity and fuel combustion.

Experts advise pouring oil into an incomplete container, stirring thoroughly, and then topping up with pure gasoline to the specified level. Saving working time by preparing the working mixture directly in the gas tank of the chainsaw should be excluded from everyday practice.

This technology is fraught with fuel system failures due to large amounts of oil getting into the carburetor, requiring disassembly and thorough washing.

It is better to prepare the mixture in quantities that should be enough to complete one-time work. The problem is the irreversible deterioration of the working properties of the mixture during storage. It is recommended to use the finished composition over the next few days.

A mixture of gasoline and month-old oil impairs the traction capabilities of the engine. There is also the formation of resinous compounds in the fuel system and intense carbon formation in the combustion chamber, loss of mobility of the piston rings.

  • With minimal damage to quality, it is advisable to store gasoline and oil for no more than 2 weeks. At an ambient temperature of 25 degrees Celsius or more, this period is reduced to 8-10 days.
  • In order to save money, the expired mixture can be gradually consumed by mixing it into the fresh composition in an amount of no more than 10% of the total volume.

To avoid problems associated with fuel system failure, it is recommended to filter the prepared mixture through a non-fibre material such as suede, or a fine-mesh twill weave or metal mesh.

How much oil to pour into gasoline - rules for preparing the mixture

Having figured out how much oil to pour into gasoline, you can start preparing the fuel mixture. To do this, you will need a clean metal or plastic canister. First, the required amount of gasoline is poured, and then lubricating fluid is added in the required volume. After completing the dilution, tilt the canister a couple of times.

As a result of repeated shaking, the liquids are mixed, and the prepared fuel acquires a uniform color. Depending on the color of the oil added, the finished liquid may be greenish, bluish or reddish.

When performing work, safety precautions and fire regulations must be observed. Mixing work must be carried out in a ventilated area, or even better, in outdoor conditions. Smoking is not allowed when working with flammable liquids. Mixing must be done with gloves to protect the skin from contact with aggressive liquids.

The fuel container is filled with the prepared mixture and the gas tank cap is tightly closed. Gasoline mixed with oil can be stored in tightly closed cans. Gasoline mixed with oil retains its properties for a month.

That is why mixing should be done immediately before pouring, taking into account the frequency of use of the scooter or motorcycle.

Features of running in a new tool

This concept includes a gentle operating mode of the chainsaw at the initial stage of its operation. The technology also provides for the engine to operate on a mixture with an increased content of motor oil by 20%.

The break-in time in engine hours is indicated in the attached instructions. In practice, to reach the working level of the tool, 3-5 refills of the saw’s gas tank are sufficient.

New models do not need to be broken in, but it is not recommended to use the chainsaw with heavy loads during the first hours of operation.

For those who don't know, a two-stroke engine has no valves and requires oil to be added to gasoline to lubricate the crankshaft and piston. These engines are found on motorcycles. Motorcycle owners often wonder why the engine does not start well, runs intermittently, why compression disappears, or why the piston is jammed. And often it’s all about the oil, because they dilute gasoline with it. Currently, there is a lot of two-stroke oil on sale on store shelves, but this oil is not suitable for two-stroke engines that develop high engine speeds.

Best motorcycle oil

It seems that when developing two-stroke oil, it was invented, but not tested. But MC20 and M8 oils should not be allowed anywhere near a two-stroke engine if you like to race. But if you don’t give a lot of gas when riding a motorcycle, you can use these oils. How to determine what is seizing in a two-stroke engine

The first sign is that extraneous noise suddenly appears in the engine, a sign of the piston sticking, and the engine loses speed. At such a moment, you need to release the gas and squeeze the clutch; if you manage to do this in time, then the piston will come out of this situation without damage.

In what proportion should you dilute motorcycle oil?

The instructions suggest the following ratio: for a run-in engine - 1/25, for an unrun-in engine - 1/20. There is no need to stupidly follow the proportions; everything will depend on how you step on the gas. If you do not take this into account, then when driving quietly, diluted gasoline 1/20 will top up the spark plugs, but if you drive hard and if you dilute gasoline 1/25, the engine will begin to seize at maximum speed, which will lead to piston breakage.

A two-stroke engine is designed in such a way that some of the oil can be retained in the crankshaft and piston. When the gas is released to its fullest, the oil is strongly blown out of the piston, a mixture of 1/20 is needed here. How to dilute oil in gasoline to get 1/20? You need to take 10 liters of gasoline and half a liter of oil or 20 liters of gasoline and a liter of oil.

Why does a motorcycle spit oil out of the muffler?

Everything is fine here, the motorcycle spits out excess oil from the muffler. Don't worry if you add a little oil to the gasoline and the engine runs great. When the spark plugs are flooded and the engine runs intermittently, then you need to reduce the amount of oil in gasoline and add clean gasoline to the tank.

For two-stroke engines of motorcycles Tula, IZH Jupiter, IZH Planet, domestic motor oil M8V is well suited. For motorcycles such as Planet and IZH, the proportion for the mixture with a liter of gasoline is 25 grams per 1 liter of gasoline.

For a Tula motorcycle you need to add a little more oil, 30 grams per liter of gasoline.

Any domestic cheap motor oil is suitable for a mixture with gasoline. The most important thing is that the motor oil is not semi-synthetic or synthetic. You cannot find a better oil than M8B for a mixture with gasoline; this engine oil is dark blue in color and very thick.

The main rule is that when mixing oil with gasoline, it is better to overfill than underfill. If you do not add oil to gasoline, this will have a detrimental effect on the piston. Because of this, the engine will overheat and jam.

When you pour motor oil into gasoline, there is a small problem - the motorcycle's acceleration dynamics drop. In other words, if the engine oil is overfilled, the motorcycle will not gain speed quickly, and the engine will begin to smoke heavily. A lot of blue smoke will come out of the muffler. To prevent this from happening, you need to maintain the proportions of oil when pouring it into gasoline.

The main type of fuel for two-stroke engines is a mixture of oil and gasoline. One of the reasons for damage to the mechanism may be incorrect production of the presented mixture. The situation when there is no oil in gasoline at all is also fraught with troubles. To make a mixture of this kind, a special oil is used, which has a special marking. It indicates what exactly it should be used for. Experienced drivers and mechanics know that creating an effective mixture is not easy. It is necessary to correctly calculate the ratio of gasoline and oil for a two-stroke engine.

Some car owners resort to personal recipes, supplementing the mixture with certain “secret” ingredients, including soda. For the correct production of the fuel mixture, it is necessary to comply with certain requirements and recommendations of the manufacturer.

Carburetor adjustment Izh Jupiter 5

Adjusting the IZ Jupiter 5 carburetor is the simplest, but at the same time the most important process. Whether it is K-62, K-65 or K-68, you must first warm up the engine to operating temperature, and then perform a sequential series of actions :

  1. Set low but fairly stable engine speeds by rotating the screw that adjusts the throttle position.
  2. By changing the position of the idle screw, set the engine to maximum speed.
  3. Repeat these steps 4-5 times, gradually reducing engine speed.
  4. Check with sharp jerks that the adjustment is correct.

The carburetor on the IZ Jupiter 5 should be adjusted so that there are no jerks and the engine does not stall in the event of sudden opening and closing of the throttle. In the first case, you should enrich the fuel mixture by turning the idle speed screw ¼-½ turn clockwise. In the second, turn the screw in the opposite direction.

You can also adjust the carburetor on IZ Jupiter 5 in operating modes. Depending on weather conditions and the technical condition of the engine, the metering needle can be moved up to enrich the mixture and down to obtain the opposite effect.

Fuel and oil

To accurately determine what ratio of gasoline to oil to use for a two-stroke engine, it is important to know all the operational properties of the equipment for which fuel is needed. For this purpose, the most common gasoline and oil from various manufacturers are most often used. For the described process, 92 or 95 gasoline is best suited.

It should be noted that many manufacturers write very different proportional ratios of the mixture of gasoline and oil for two-stroke engines. It is important to always look at the oil canister and the instructions for its use, where the required proportions may be written. The brand of oil must be chosen based on the preferences of the car owner. Before purchasing, it is very important to study the description of the product, which must indicate what equipment it is intended for.

Where are motor pumps with gasoline engines used?

The versatility of the technology allows its use in the following areas:

  • water supply for private houses;
  • watering vegetable gardens and orchards at dachas and suburban areas, irrigating large fields;
  • pumping various liquids, drainage work;
  • extinguishing fires;
  • filling and draining swimming pools and artificial reservoirs;
  • pumping water from building basements, cellars, sewer wells, pits of engineering structures;
  • for draining wetlands;
  • in the work of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to save people.

The absence of the need for an electrical connection allows work to be carried out in remote and densely populated areas.

Rules for using the mixture

The proportions of gasoline and oil for two-stroke engines should never be changed. Some drivers do not attach much importance to this rule. Since oil is expensive, they try to save it. However, an insufficient amount of this component in the mixture can lead to overheating of the piston and cylinder of the engine itself. As a result, problems arise that require major repairs.

How much oil should be added to gasoline for a two-stroke engine if its percentage cannot be reduced? If you increase the amount of this component, it will affect the functioning of the engine. Excess oil will cause carbon deposits, and the motor mechanism will wear out faster.

It is important to remember that you cannot keep the prepared mixture for more than a month, as it loses its own characteristics, and its use will have a detrimental effect on the engine.

It is necessary to ensure that no dirt, dust or other debris gets into the presented mixture, due to which the engine will stop working.

How to dilute gasoline for a boat motor and which one to choose?

There is no need to think about the choice of gasoline for a boat motor - it is not for nothing that its brand is indicated in the passport. Using fuel recommended by the manufacturer, the engine runs economically and parts do not fail prematurely.

Disputes about what kind of gasoline to put into a boat engine are related to its quality: at Russian oil refineries they make only 92nd gasoline, and 95th at gas stations is actually 92nd gasoline, the octane number of which is increased with the help of iron-containing anti-knock additives, methyl tert-butyl ether, benzene, methyl alcohol, propane-butane.

Iron-containing anti-knock additives create a conductive film on the spark plugs. Because of this, the spark energy first decreases and fuel consumption increases (up to 40%), then the engine begins to stall and the spark plugs fail.

When gasoline is burned with the addition of methyl tert-butyl ether or benzene, a lot of carbon deposits are formed on the pistons, which leads to their jamming.

Methyl alcohol is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture from the air). Result: in the gas tank, the counterfeit 95-octane gasoline is divided into the original 92-octane gasoline and water, which settles to the bottom.

Propane-butane does not harm the parts: without pressure, it instantly evaporates, after which 95 gasoline again becomes the original 92 gasoline. Overpayment per 1 liter of fuel – up to 30%.

Conclusion: if the manufacturer recommends 95 gasoline, but there is no imported gasoline at the gas station, it is better to fill the boat engine with Russian 92 gasoline.

Mixing process and proportions

How do you know how much oil per liter of gasoline is required for a two-stroke engine? It is very easy to calculate since all the basic data is at hand. For example, it is written directly on the packaging how much oil per liter of gasoline is needed to produce a high-quality mixture. The amount of this ingredient may vary depending on the manufacturer. The most commonly used proportions are 1:50 or 1:40. There may be some deviations from such parameters.

As soon as clear proportions are determined, we must begin making the mixture. A variety of containers are perfect for this process. It is very important to know that it is prohibited to mix fuel with oil in the gas tank itself. The mixture must be made separately. You can pour it into the tank only after the process is completed.

Table oil gasoline - choose the correct proportion

Beginning motorcycle owners do not always have an idea how much oil to add to gasoline. Depending on the manufacturer's recommendations specified in the instructions, the volume of added lubricant may vary. The most common ratios are 1:50 and also 1:40. Minor deviations from the specified proportions will not affect the operation of the two-stroke engine.

During the break-in period, when intensive grinding of the mating parts of the engine occurs, the amount of oil increases slightly. When the break-in is completed, switch to a different fuel mixture ratio, which involves introducing a smaller amount of oil.

It's not difficult to figure out the proportions. For example, a ratio of 1:50 means that a liter of lubricant should be added to 50 liters of gasoline. Using measuring containers will greatly facilitate the process of preparing the mixture. Depending on the volume of the available container, the amount of added oil changes.

In particular, for a proportion of 1:50, the table will help determine the volume of oil introduced:

Having decided on the proportions, you can quickly prepare the mixture. However, you should not use the gas tank for this, alternately filling in gasoline and oil. Mixing must be done in a separate container.

Container in which you can prepare and store the mixture

  1. Special containers for mixing. They look like canisters with several holes. To make the mixture, the already calculated ratio of gasoline and oil for two-stroke engines should be poured into a canister, closed and tilted a couple of times. Such containers are very comfortable, but they are also expensive. If you need to make mixtures often, it is better not to waste money and buy yourself a similar container.
  2. Canisters made of plastic or metal. It is necessary to be careful when using such containers made of glass or plastic, as their use may result in an electrical discharge. If you need to make a small amount of mixture, a simple plastic bottle will do just fine.
  3. Tools at hand. To save money, a large number of car enthusiasts use a variety of containers at their disposal. This is not prohibited, but you need to be sure that gasoline will not corrode the container material.
