Suzuki Kingquad 750 - the largest single-cylinder ATV in the world

Japanese ATVsATVs "Suzuki" (Suzuki)

Few people know that motorists and extreme sports enthusiasts owe the appearance of ATVs, in their modern and familiar form, to Suzuki engineers.

It was thanks to their efforts that three decades ago (in 1983), this four-wheeled all-terrain vehicle was born, replacing its three-wheeled counterparts.

Today, the Japanese corporation Suzuki Motor produces several models of similar equipment, of which only three are supplied to Russia: KingQuad 400, 500 and, of course, the most legendary - 750. Let's talk about the latter in more detail.

Versatility and practical design

When you first get acquainted with the Suzuki Kingquad 750, you expect to see a powerful and unstoppable beast, because it is the largest single-cylinder member of the ATV family in the world.

However, the 750AXi looks less intimidating, but rather stylish and modern , although there is plenty of unstoppable power hidden under its sparkling armor.

The flagship of the KingQuad line is a fundamental SUV, since it cannot be equipped with rear-view mirrors and turn signals to drive on public roads.

In addition, the manufacturer fundamentally does not produce two-seater ATVs and positions this equipment exclusively as mini-tractors .

Another thing is that in Russia, ATVs are used very rarely as agricultural equipment, but as a device for extreme sports or outdoor activities - more and more often.

And the 750AXi is perfect for these purposes, combining great power, cross-country ability and maneuverability.

The model is universal and suitable for work, outdoor walks or amateur racing.

We also note that the unique advantages and abilities of KingQuad are appreciated by all kinds of mobile units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, border guards, rangers, etc.

Having appeared on the market in 2007, the KingQuad 750 rolled off the factory assembly line for several years without any changes.

In 2009, the situation changed and the ATV acquired electric power steering, which slightly increased its weight.

To keep the model in the stated weight category, the company's engineers had to remove the manual starter, reduce the thickness of the battery bracket and brake pedal, and install alloy wheels.

The pilot's seat has also undergone changes . Now the T-shaped saddle allows you to sit straighter, and the steering wheel has become higher and has acquired an angle, which increases comfort and controllability.

The breathers of the ATV gearboxes were protected with covers, but the head optics remained without restyling.

To protect the suspension and underbody, as well as panel cladding and fenders, manufacturers used high-quality impact-resistant plastic because it is lighter than metal and practically does not allow dirt to stick to it.

The color can be green, gray, red, yellow, white, blue or camouflage.

Utilitarian all-terrain vehicles

The QuadRunner series of utilitarian all-terrain vehicles consists of two models:

This innovative system improves the efficiency of the four-wheeler, reduces weight and allows for automatic oil and filter changes in the powertrain during vehicle maintenance. Excellent handling is facilitated by an electric starter, five-speed gearbox and independent suspension. All these characteristics make the model a durable “workhorse” that can easily cope with the responsibilities assigned to it.
  • F250 4WD. Buying a Suzuki ATV means getting a daily worker and an excellent assistant that can easily solve the most complex tasks. The all-terrain vehicle features advanced integrated rear-wheel drive for optimal traction and two-wheel drive for reduced fuel consumption. The QuadRunner F250 is also suitable for hauling heavy loads.

Sports four-wheelers

The QuadRacer series is a line of Suzuki sports ATVs, which includes the rear-wheel drive LT-R450. Thanks to its responsive and powerful engine, as well as modern suspensions, it becomes a winner in any motorcycle race. It also offers an excellent combination of reliability and ease of maintenance. The Z250 Quadsport has good sporting characteristics, equipped with a lightweight chassis with a reliable braking system. It can also be used for riding on flat surfaces and steep terrain.

Based on the Suzuki 250 ATV, another sports utility vehicle is designed - the QuadSport Z400, created for off-road rally racing. The speed and dynamics of the car are ensured by a 398 cc four-stroke engine with liquid cooling and an electronic injection system, as well as an electric starter, reverse gear and a lightweight chassis.

The QuadSport line also includes children's all-terrain vehicles - Z50 and Z90. The first model is intended for children from six years old, and the second - for children and adolescents aged 12 years and older. Both models meet a high level of safety, and the automatic transmission makes for simple and intuitive operation, which is especially important for novice drivers.

History of appearance

In the early 2000s, bitter rivals Suzuki and Kawasaki formed a brief alliance to better compete with other ATV companies.

Then they developed the first large Suzuki device, called Twin Peaks. This ATV was two-cylinder and very popular.

After a breakdown in relations, the Suzuki KingQuad 700 was born, which had the same engine capacity as its predecessor, but with a single large cylinder.

This ATV was the first vehicle in the company’s lineup equipped with independent suspension and an injection system.

In 2007, the KingQuad 700 engine was increased by 27 cc, and the model equipped with the new unit was sold as the Suzuki KingQuad 750AXi.

The undisputed leader in its industry

Suzuki Motor Corporation is one of the oldest engineering companies, headquartered in Hamamatsu (Shizuoka Prefecture). It owes its creation to Michio Suzuki, who in 1909 developed a model of a foot-powered loom and launched its mass production. At the end of the 30s, the company presented several prototype cars, but due to the Second World War, production of the cars was never launched.

From the second half of the twentieth century, the company began producing motorized bicycles, then passenger cars and SUVs, and in 1982 it released the first ATV, the Suzuki Quad Runner LT125, which became the founder of the four-wheeler class. Before this, all ATV manufacturers, following the pioneer of the industry, produced tricycles that were significantly inferior to the new product in terms of stability, safety and cross-country ability. By the end of the 80s, tricycles were completely forced out of the market, and their manufacturers joined the creation of ATVs, trying to give their vehicles more personality and power.

Thus, it was the Suzuki company that became the founder of four-wheeled ATVs, as well as a new type of motorcycle competition - “quad sports”. Suzuki ATVs, the entire model range and prices, allow you to choose the best option for solving a specific problem.

Off-road kings

The “royal” line of Suzuki KingQuad are utilitarian all-terrain vehicles that are designed to conquer hard-to-reach places, as well as for pleasant trips outside the city and in nature. On the Russian market it is sold in three modifications:

LT-A400F. The low-power model is equipped with a responsive four-valve engine with a volume of 376 cm3, but this does not prevent it from being playful and high-torque. The Suzuki 400 ATV delights with its sharp, sporty shape, achieved thanks to its aggressive, widely spaced fenders. The exclusive T-shaped seat provides the pilot with maximum comfort on long trips, and the uniquely shaped dual ice headlights ensure safe night trips. Standard equipment includes skid plates, full-length drainable footrests with raised footrests, and a rich instrument panel.

LT-A 500 XP. The medium-sized model is suitable for those who want to get an effective utility for a reasonable price. The comfort, handling and power of the Suzuki LT A500XP ATV are fully consistent with the KingQuad. The 493 cm3 power unit, equipped with an injection system, optimally transmits power throughout the entire rev range. Standard equipment includes a waterproof 12-volt power outlet, a tow bar and two storage compartments, one at the rear of the vehicle and another with a screw-on cover on the right front fender.

LT-A750XP. The top-end sports-utility SUV, the most powerful in the family, is equipped with a 722 cm 3 four-stroke, four-valve engine with fuel injection, tuned for optimal power transmission at low and medium speeds. Electric power steering contributes to stability, while hydraulic and disc brakes provide confident stopping power. The ATV operates in three modes: 2 WD, 4 WD and 4 WD with differential lock, which are switched by a button mounted on the steering wheel. Despite its power, the LT-A750XP is quite light, stable and balanced. All this allows him to confidently tackle off-road terrain, participate in amateur racing or be used for work.

You can order and buy this model of Suzuki ATV on the official website of our company. The SUV comes in two colors - green and camouflage at a price of 550 thousand rubles.

Suzuki ATVs and their features

Owners of Suzuki all-terrain vehicles appreciated all the delights of the equipment. Riders noted:

  • Affordable prices for ATVs. Japanese cars are much cheaper than their American or Canadian counterparts. For example, the brand’s flagship Kingquad 750 AXI, released in 2022, will cost the buyer only 895 thousand rubles. The AT-350S road quad, designed for driving in the city and on highways, costs 150 thousand rubles.
  • Elaborate design. The brand’s equipment has a simple and soft appearance, more suitable for sports devices. The developers try not to overload the models with unnecessary details, and at the same time make them comfortable.
  • Build quality. Suzuki all-terrain vehicles are distinguished by their reliability and significant service life. All components of the devices are securely fixed, and the plastic fits perfectly. Even with active use, the brand’s equipment will work for at least 6 years without serious breakdowns.
  • Functionality. The company offers dozens of models that are suitable for tourism, cargo transportation, leisure and work. For example, for agricultural tasks, it is recommended to choose the A350F model, equipped with a spacious body.

The only difficulty that awaits the owner of Japanese equipment is repair. Finding the necessary part is almost impossible, so spare parts will have to be ordered. Sometimes the delivery of components takes 2-3 months, which leads to long-term downtime of the ATV.
