Deciding to stand out from the gray mass of countless similar bikes, Chinese designers scratched their heads and presented the Racer Fighter 250 to the public, a kind of fresh take on the eternal classic. And they did it! At least in terms of design, especially when combined with the price they're asking for this bike. Racer Fighter, of course, is not an example of an original appearance, but it still looks more interesting than most other Chinese small-capacity models of a similar price category. Just don’t let its appearance deceive you, under the plastic lies another unremarkable road bike, designed using the technologies of the last century. Does this make the Racer Fighter RC250CK N a bad bike? Definitely not.
Technical characteristics of Racer Fighter 250
When they took on the development of this motorcycle, the Chinese clearly paid more attention to its appearance than to the technical component. A completely modern appearance , predatory and aggressive, immediately attracts attention. The Racer Fighter looks really interesting, especially if you don’t look closely at the visually small engine, thin brake discs and other details that immediately give away the small-capacity model. By the way, about the motor - this is a conventional single-cylinder air-cooled power unit , simple but reliable, and also equipped with a balance shaft that dampens vibrations typical of engines of this design. Peak power of 14.7 hp. is reached at around 7500 rpm , but the vibrations really don’t bother you. By the way, the designers included in the Racer Fighter not only an electric starter, but also a kickstarter.
From a technical point of view, you shouldn't expect anything impressive from the Racer Fighter RC250CK N. The maximum speed it is capable of is 100 km/h . The gears in the 5-speed gearbox are quite short, so you have to switch them often, but there is at least some dynamics, which is quite enough for driving in urban conditions. The gearbox operates quite smoothly, but sometimes it’s difficult to find neutral when it’s cold. After the engine warms up, this problem disappears.
As for ergonomics, everything is excellent here. Despite the compact size of the bike, sitting on it is quite comfortable for any motorcyclist of average height, at least if you don’t seat a passenger - in which case you’ll have to make room a little. But all the controls are easy to use, even without a hint of cheap Chinese plastic, from which motorcycle manufacturers from the Middle Kingdom like to make buttons and levers. Racer Fighter RC250CK N in this regard does not look like a “typical Chinese” - it does not look made on the knee, everything about it is quite solid and reliable.
What’s good is that the Chinese splurged on decent brakes and good suspensions. At the rear there is a classic pendulum with a monoshock absorber , and at the front there is an inverted telescopic fork. True, the settings are sparse, but the Racer Fighter suspension still works as it should. The brakes are generally quite good, discs with 2-piston calipers are installed on both wheels, and they are quite sufficient given the slightly sluggish dynamics of the bike. But with a fuel consumption of 3-4 liters , it can cover up to 300-400 kilometers without refueling, since the gas tank contains 12 liters . AI-92 is quite suitable, the carburetor accepts it perfectly, but the manufacturer does not forbid the use of AI-95 if desired.
Greetings dear BikePost! Since in your country this miracle may have a completely different name, I will not write what it is called. I carefully erased all the inscriptions. So here is the miracle of the Chinese motorcycle industry: The first thing that catches my eye and what I fell for is the appearance, of course. He really looks cool. Moreover, it doesn’t sound bad at all - more on that later. Next, what we see is that he did not steal his design. One way or another, any street is similar in general features to each other, just like sports. A nice thing is the super-informative menu for such a cheap motorcycle: it shows the gear number (it’s unnecessary, but let it be), revolutions, speed in miles/km, battery charge, availability of gasoline. But the coolest thing is that the scoreboard has as many as 7 colors!!! WOW! Conveniently, for example, there is a night mode in red or dark blue, and for the day there is a bright green or sickly blue. It looks like this: The presence of LEDs is especially pleasing to the eye. Around the headlights in front and also in the back. The headlight itself is classic inside, I admit it shines so-so - at night I have to press the “wink” signal in turns, again this is if I’m outside the illuminated streets. The moped is generally purely urban. There was a case where I did a march of 407 km to one point on it, 130 in general, that’s all - cutoff, 5th gear is the last:
Looks at your alpha like it’s a scooter: Shines on you “like I’m an Audi A7”: But everyone recognized this ass, but let’s not throw stones - this is the only thing they stole. Excusable:
By the way, these headlights blink in time with the stoplights, I recently found out about this. The rear saddle is a tragedy for a bony woman’s butt. The seats are worse than on sports cars - a couch. But it's beautiful. True, the bike has only one plus - it’s really very aesthetically pleasing.
A little about the insides. There is no information about him on the Internet, because some smart schmucks bring him here - they fashion their own layback and push two green ones, a new one. The engine is 250cc, it seems like someone’s Japanese wood-burning one, it resembles one taken from an enduro – in sound, in traction, etc. 9500 rpm, about 22 horses at a glance. Gears - 5, gas - sniffs, brakes are slow, no abs, weight 120 kg - fluff. It's a goat, the center of gravity is high - he moved his butt back, threw the clutch and drove spectacularly until the end of the first gear, there was a chance to over-goat. In general, it is controlled quite freely, the angle of inclination is as much as your knees on the asphalt. The tires are xs, very round. There's probably 150 behind. Plastic - yes, it’s all plastic - the current frame is iron, the plastic is ok, no worse than on the Japanese. Since the shed is identical, you have to tighten it once every 500-600 km - otherwise everything falls apart, single women would envy such vibrations, I’m used to it - I’ve been running on one cylinder for 4 years - I have 40,000 km of experience in 7 efforts, I realized that my the lot is 250-300cc - I'm not in a hurry to die - I'm just practical and like to wear a backpack. I don’t even use mirrors, I don’t say anything about my equipment - I wear a helmet so that it doesn’t blow into my ears, gloves so that my hands don’t chafe. Carry the rest yourself - I have my own geese on the topic of driving a motorcycle. Let's not argue about this - everyone has their own bell tower.
Disadvantages - he is Chinese, you are trolled by owners of normal motorcycles, as a joke of course, but still. The plug at the back of the speedometer constantly flies out, unscrew the muzzle for 3 minutes and insert it firmly, if you don’t mess with it, it doesn’t fly out. In general, the overall assembly is typically Chinese. This is not a Honda for you. However, you can live by doing everything with your own hands in the parking lot of your home. I repeat - vibration - everything gets spun up - especially if you drive aggressively like I do. In December, when the season ends, I will sell it. I bought it just for the season, and one hundred percent of it will leave it and go even further.
Pros - the price is $2000, it’s very easy to sell, well, the fuel consumption is all that’s clear. SOUND!!! I wasn't too lazy and went downstairs to write it down:
Usually, the first thing I change on a new motorcycle is the sound - here it’s stock, in my opinion it’s straight forward - in any case, when you release the gas while moving - there’s an “automatic burst”. Why are there no mirrors? Yes, you just can’t see anything in them, the vibration is PPC! Besides, they spoil the aesthetics - take them off, throw them away, no use. In general, removing the mirrors is the only tuning I did on it. We have been together for 3100 km already - 4 months. It's the only one in my city. Chicks are in progress.
I guess I have nothing more to add. Thank you for reading, I’m not a master of catchphrases, but I wanted to talk about it. I’ll answer right away - I have no idea whether it exists in the CIS and what its name is there. He has no name.
Pros and cons of Racer Fighter 250
Advantages
- Affordable price . At least the Racer Fighter 250 looks more expensive than you might expect by looking at it.
- Reliability . Minor shortcomings, of course, are present, but the main components, such as the gearbox, gearbox and chassis, do not cause any complaints.
- Ergonomics . Everything is thought out and brought to mind - levers, switches, dashboard and other little things.
- Exhaust sound . It's surprisingly decent, especially for a small-capacity model.
- Maneuverability . The Racer Fighter handles excellently, thanks to its thoughtful weight distribution and compact dimensions.
Flaws
- Standard tires . According to reviews from the owners of the Racer Fighter 250, it does not hold the road well, and it is advisable to replace it after purchase.
- Build quality . You have to independently correct everything that the Chinese did not do properly.
- Headlight . It shines weakly, and at night on unlit roads it is frankly not enough.
- Spare parts . Sometimes some of them are not so easy to find on sale, and not everything from other Chinese bikes fits on the Racer Fighter.
Reviews from Racer Fighter 250 owners
The mot pleasantly surprised me after the purchase, it rips off the ground, it really picks up speed quickly, much better than I expected. The maximum consumption was something like 4 liters per hundred, I use 92 benz, usually less than 4 liters comes out. The suspension is good, it swallows potholes with bumps as expected, and in general it’s comfortable to sit, even on long runs the carcass doesn’t get tired, unless you want to stretch your legs. I installed a small windshield and it became even better. The maximum I drove a day was a little less than 1000 km, everything was ok both with the bike and with me. Ilya, Pskov, Racer Fighter 250 '2018.
One of the few Chinese single-barreled guns that doesn’t vibrate like hell—the engine still has a balancer shaft. The bike is interesting, looks stylish and expensive. There were no breakdowns during the season, only maintenance. Georgy, Kostroma, Racer Fighter 250 '2018.
All the shortcomings are simply due to the assembly; immediately after rolling out of the showroom, the motorcycle must be taken into service by skilled craftsmen, half disassembled and everything done according to the mind. There are some extra wires sticking out with bare contacts, not insulated at all, instead of oil at the factory they fill the engine with something unknown, the bolts on the engine and frame were completely loose. In short, China is in all fields, you can travel, but using your hands is strictly recommended. Andrey, Buzuluk, Racer Fighter RC250CK N '2019.
Total
The Racer Fighter 250 is a really good motorcycle , and for its price it can perhaps even be called good . Yes, it lacks power; for those with tall stature and a large build, sitting on it may not be very comfortable, and the bike looks too secondary. But it is light, compact, and perfect for everyday driving around the city. Flashing plugs on a Racer Fighter 250 is even easier than on some 600, because in this case dimensions, not power, are decisive.
Dimensions and weight
It’s interesting that in the line of Chinese-made bikes, this one turned out to be a real heavyweight:
- dry weight - 118 kg;
- equipped - 136 kg.
The road purpose imposes its restrictions on external parameters. The bike has:
- length - 2022 mm;
- width - 782 mm;
- height - 1072 mm;
- seat height - 670 mm.
Wheelbase - 1302 mm.
Due to the very low seating position, tall riders are advised to look at another model or check the bike thoroughly before purchasing. The low seating position and the middle position of the footrests will not provide riding comfort.
The fit of this iron horse is ideal for a person of average height.

Maximum speed
The maximum speed declared by the developers is 100 km/h. According to experts, this is a marketing ploy. The actual possible speed is 95 km.
Fuel consumption
Fuel consumption according to documentation is 3 liters.
up to 500 km on one full refueling , if you don’t anneal it. The numbers depend on the driving style; under normal conditions, more than 3 liters do not rise. If the numbers are growing, you need specialist advice.
The developers are silent about the dynamics of acceleration, but it is impossible to accelerate the bike to 100 km.
Transmission and clutch
The motorcycle has a 5-speed gearbox. According to user reviews, there are no problems with it. All gears work smoothly and shift easily. It is not always possible to immediately catch neutral, but after getting used to the bike this does not cause gaps.
- Gears are changed according to the standard sequential principle . From neutral, the first one is down, the rest are up. The pass is blocked
- The clutch uses a principle that Yamaxa often uses. Multi-disc, oil bath .
- Main drive - chain.
Suspension
Front fork.
Rear suspension.
In terms of suspension, the motorcycle does not have any deviations from the standards.
- The front wheel is supported by a telescopic fork.
- At the rear , a mono-shock absorber with a pendulum is used.
Brakes
In this part, the motorcycle follows the concept of a road bike. Disc brakes are used on both axles. One disc, 1-piston support.
Front brakes.
Rear brakes.
