As many are accustomed to believe, Chinese engineers can only copy something. But in the case of the Patron Taker 250 motorcycle, this is not entirely true. Or rather, not at all like that. If you try to find a suitable model from famous manufacturers in Asia or Europe, then nothing will work.
At first glance, it may seem that the “Patron” is an old motorcycle from the eighties. However, this is a completely unique specimen. Sharp features and the appearance of the fuel tank create the image of a sports motorcycle. The absence of a windshield fairing, a simple instrument panel, a round headlight, and a simple color make the Patron Taker 250 very ascetic. But at the same time, the motorcycle has features of more powerful, expensive and stylish muscle bikes or street fighters.

Ergonomics
First of all, you need to consider the technical characteristics of the Patron Taker 250. You should start with its ergonomics. The motorcycle seat is straight, like on a chair. The tank has special anatomical bulges, which creates additional comfort when driving. The height from the ground to the saddle is 810 mm, which allows people with a height of 170-190 cm to ride comfortably.
Power point
The Patron Taker 250 is driven by a four-stroke carburetor engine with a displacement of 250 cubic centimeters. The engine is liquid cooled, has two camshafts in the head, and one balance shaft.
All this allows the engine to develop a power of 25 horsepower with maximum torque at 8500 rpm. The unit is powered by gasoline with an octane rating of at least 90.
The transmission is carried out using a chain. It is made according to the principle of step - percentage of an inch. A significant drawback is the small thickness of the plates and the absence of special rings. This is the main reason for the rapid stretching of the chain. As a result, there is a need to constantly adjust the tension. Experts recommend replacing the chain with a more reliable one as soon as possible after purchasing a motorcycle.
Chassis and speed characteristics
The front suspension is represented by a double fork with inverted shock absorbers. There is a monoshock absorber at the rear - it is quite rigid, but it confidently withstands the “blows” of Russian roads and does not break through. There is no ability to adjust the suspension, but you can use a special key to adjust the tension of the rear shock absorber.
The rubber supplied with the motorcycle upon sale is produced by the Korean company Kenda. It provides good grip over the entire speed range. A load index of 66N will allow the tires to withstand driving without a load at speeds of up to 200 km/h.
The 250 cc engine in combination with a six-speed gearbox allows the Tucker to accelerate to 140 km/h. Not a bad speed for this type of technology. And for city driving it is more than enough.
The front brakes of the bike are double disc. There is one disc at the back. This allows, according to reviews of the Patron Taker 250, to easily perform braking functions throughout the entire speed range.

Convenience and comfort of driving: what if you want to go faster?
As stated above, the maximum speed that Taker can reach is 140 km/h. But the motorcycle does not have a windshield, so when accelerating above 100-110 km/h, riding discomfort is determined. A strong headwind, midges, pebbles - all this leads to a desire to change the landing to a reclining position. But, unfortunately, this is not feasible, since neither the steering wheel nor the seat are suitable for this.
Therefore, the maximum comfortable speed on this bike will be 100-110 km/h, which is quite enough not only for moving within the city, but also outside it.
Gear shifting is soft and precise. For city driving, the first four speeds are quite enough. Fifth and sixth gears are suitable for country driving. Shifting into neutral does not cause any problems.
Average fuel consumption is 4 liters. This allows you to travel 350-400 km on one fill-up.

How did I choose it?
This matter was long and long-suffering, because... I've been dreaming about a motorcycle for a long time. As soon as I got my license, I started drooling and looking at the equipment, inexpensive (read Chinese) and quite reliable. For a whole year I looked and admired old Japanese cars and sometimes I even looked at used Chinese ones...
At first, my gaze fell on Zongshen Z-One ZS200-48A , this was due to the presence of an official representative office in Russia and a large plant that produces engines for the Chinese (soon the site stopped working and the representative office was closed). Then Baltmotors Street 250DD liked the fact that it looked like a HONDA CB400. Baltmotors was attracted by the availability of loans from the company with a reduced interest rate and the fact that the company has been on the market for quite a long time and has a wide network; Baltmotors has also established itself quite highly in the market as fairly reliable equipment. At that moment the Maidan happened, prices jumped and at that time it cost not 80-90 thousand rubles, but 125 thousand rubles, in general I was late...

Disappointed, I started looking at local websites that sold Chinese motorcycles, and there I saw
the Patron Sport 200 .
I started digging on the Internet for at least some reviews about him, at least something... but all in vain. There are no more than 2 videos on the Internet, where one shows what his maximum speed is (a guy is racing on the track) and in the other, schoolchildren (16-18 years old) show that he can burn rubber. I still doubted it, although everything was quite civilized on the official website, instructions, spare parts catalog, etc. At that time it cost 69 thousand rubles in the store.
I went, tried it on, and said that in a couple of weeks I would come again. A week has passed and, lo and behold, I see on the website that the store has reduced the price of it by 10 thousand rubles. I went to the bank to apply for a loan and a couple of days later I went to the store to pick it up. The seller spent quite some time getting it into working condition (pre-sale preparation), but in the end something went wrong (apparently it had stagnated with him) and he took out the second one. I set everything up much faster, signed the documents/checks and he gives me the treasured keys and we send him home in a minibus...
