2018 FIM MotoGP World Championship
was the main class of the 70 - I FIM Road World Championship season. Marc Márquez entered the season as the reigning champion, with Repsol Honda the reigning team champion and Honda the reigning constructor champion.
Originally planned to run 19 races, the season was shortened by one Grand Prix due to the cancellation of the event at Silverstone on 26 August due to unsafe track conditions due to standing water following a driver vote. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]
Marc Márquez captured the championship trophy on October 21, 2022, after sixteen rounds, winning three races in a row in the spring, three more races in a row in the fall, and nine overall. Andrea Dovizioso finished second and Valentino Rossi third, first with four wins while Rossi did not record a race victory. Jorge Lorenzo with three wins and one win each for Cal Crutchlow and Maverick Viñales were the other race winners. Yamaha suffered the worst winless streak in its history, going 25 races without winning, which lasted from the 2022 German Grand Prix before Viñales won the Australian Grand Prix. KTM took the podium for the first time at the Valencia Grand Prix

Team changes[edit]
- LCR Honda has expanded and introduced a second motorcycle for the first time since 2015. [28]
- The Aspar Racing team will race under the name "Ángel Nieto Team" from 2022 in honor of the late Ángel Nieto. [15]
Rider changes[edit]
- Sam Lowes was released from his contract with Aprilia Racing Team Gresini a year before it expired. [42] Lowes returned to the Moto2 category.
- Thomas Lüthi moved to MotoGP, making his debut in the EG 0.0 Marc VDS after eleven seasons in the intermediate class. [thirty]
- 2022 Moto2 champion Franco Morbidelli has moved up to MotoGP, making his debut with the EG 0.0 Marc VDS. [31]
- Tito Rabat returned to Reale Avintia Racing after leaving EG 0.0 Marc VDS. His partner was Xavier Simeon, who moved up to the top class. Rabat previously competed with Avintia Racing under the name By Queroseno Racing (BQR) between the 2005 125cc and 2011 Moto2 seasons.
- Takaaki Nakagami moved to MotoGP with the LCR team. [28]
- Scott Redding left Pramac Racing at the end of the 2022 season to join Aprilia Racing Team Gresini. [7] Jack Miller took his place. [14]
- Loris Baz left MotoGP and returned to the World Superbike Championship. Midway through the season, Baz replaced the injured Pol Espargaro for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing for the British Grand Prix.
- Héctor Barbera returned to the Moto2 intermediate class after leaving Reale Avintia Racing. Barbera spent eight seasons in the premier class.
- Jonas Folger, who was on the provisional list of participants, withdrew from the 2022 season to focus on his recovery from illness. [43] Hafizh Syakhrin moved to MotoGP to take a seat in Monster Yamaha Tech3. He is the first Malaysian rider to compete in the top class of the sport. [41]
Mid-season changes[edit]
- Randy de Punie returned to MotoGP as a KTM test rider, replacing Mika Kallio, who suffered a knee injury during the German Grand Prix before the end of the season.
- Tito Rabat was injured after the British Grand Prix and was replaced by Christophe Ponsson for the San Marino Grand Prix. Jordi Torres also replaced him after the Aragon Grand Prix.
- Alvaro Bautista replaced Jorge Lorenzo for the Australian Grand Prix due to injuries sustained at the Thai Grand Prix, with Mike Jones taking Bautista's place.
Experience wearing Tissot T-Race MotoGP
It is impossible to say whether the additional glass insert has any functionality or increases it, since it seems that it is just a design element. Unfortunately, just as a real brake caliper collects dust from the brake, a lot of dust and lint collects under this glass. Without removing the winding crown guard, it is nearly impossible to clean and remove dust unless you have an air compressor. Both models of these watches suffer from this issue, and on the automatic LE model the bezel rotates, leaving a gap. I wonder why not seal this movement on the LE quartz model, since the bezel does not rotate on this version.
In general, both versions of the watch are good, they accurately show the time and are also produced by the reputable Tissot company, but we can still note the favorite among them - this is the quartz model, because this particular version of the watch looks like a true MotoGP, moreover it is more similar to a motorcycle model.
For example, when you start the chronograph in automatic mode, you see the second hand go out and the rest of the watch visually stop, except for the minute hand on the subdial, which counts down the minutes of the 12-hour subdial, and when men's chronographs count down the hour, you will see the hand on the subdial move to one hour. On the other hand, on the LE quartz model we see the movement of the second hand, as well as the hand tracking 10ths of a second, and it will continue to move. From a consumer perspective, you may notice that this is an unnecessary movement.

Calendar changes[edit]
Comparison of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya configuration used in 2016 and 2022 (top) and the layout used from 2022 (bottom).
- The British Grand Prix was due to move from Silverstone to the new Welsh circuit, but construction on the new circuit was not started. [63] The two circuits reached an agreement that would give Silverstone the opportunity to host the 2022 race. [64] At the end of the British Grand Prix, all three races were canceled due to hazardous track conditions on race day and were not rescheduled.
- The Thailand Grand Prix is a new addition to the calendar with the race scheduled for October 7th.
- The Catalunya Grand Prix used a new configuration of the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit, which merged the previous turns 13, 14 and 15 into a wide right-hand corner. The new layout was previously used in Formula One from 2004 to 2006.

Design and dial of Tissot T-Race MotoGP
The dial and the configuration of the small dials in the automatic version are made in a classic style, they are easy to read, one might even say they are too standard. The gold ring around the seconds subdial at 9 o'clock is a great element that catches the eye and gives a slight 3D effect that looks amazing. The minute and second hands are the perfect length, but the hour hand seems a bit short. The gold hands, shaped like a sword with a wide blade, have a luminescent coating on top, which makes them not very clearly visible on the white, gold and black dial - it takes a few seconds to see the time; it seems that they are “camouflaged”. The total station ring is standard and legible, but still leaves something to be desired.
Surprisingly, quartz LEs look much more impressive, all thanks to the use of red, graphic motifs and better “readability”. The dial is actually smaller but feels more spacious thanks to the perfect use of space. Ignore the weird black patches on the dial that are likely to imitate a brake rotor, and the configuration of the small dials looks like a spinner. The arrows are clearly visible against the main black background. The subdials are less polished but more interesting than their automatic counterparts. Namely, half of the markers on the seconds dial are made in red and white. Finally, the tachometer ring is an attractive red color from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock.
