This is enough to overcome difficult obstacles in deep snow, under which large rocks and other obstacles may be hidden. As for the rear suspension, it is represented by the SC -5U chassis with the same Motion Control ACS shock absorbers as in the front. Thanks to air springs, a high aerodynamic effect is achieved, due to which the rear suspension travel was increased to 340 mm. This is a good indicator compared to analogues, and has a beneficial effect on the off-road features of the snowmobile. The owners of this car do not have to worry about breakdowns in the suspension, and have the opportunity to move comfortably on any road, because such a chassis smoothes out absolutely any unevenness that is encountered on a long journey. As for the steering, the developers paid special attention to it. So, in this case, the designers improved the ergonomics and positioned the levers and switches in such a way that you don’t need to reach for them, and so that there is no feeling of discomfort during extreme driving. To do this, we had to pay attention to the design of the entire workspace, and this includes not only the steering, but also the driving position and other features. The steering mechanism has four height adjustment positions - thanks to this, it is possible to move in a sitting or standing position, which is very important for professional users. The steering wheel can be finished and painted in any color depending on the consumer's preferences. Coming to the seat, it has a two-seater layout with the option of a rear passenger. But if necessary, the seat can be made into a single seat - in this case, the rear seat is removed, and instead there is space for additional cargo. In addition, another trunk is provided under the driver's seat. It is well sealed and protected from moisture and corrosion. The snowmobile comes with many features and things that many people can only dream about. Pleasant “surprises” include a front power bumper, a sliding plate, and a rear luggage case. To make it possible to pull the snowmobile out of a difficult area in a short period of time, a winch is provided under the seat. The adjustable steering column allows you to customize the control for each person, taking into account the physical characteristics of each person. 150 “mares” allow, despite the large size of the snowmobile, to ride quickly with a passenger, for whom a special backrest is provided at the back. Comfortable trips are hard to imagine without a roomy, ergonomic seat with a thick layer of padding.

The snowmobile has incredible cross-country ability. Track length (utility) is 154 inches, width 50 cm. Hook height 32 mm, reverse gear will not leave a chance even in the most severe weather conditions. A snowmobile capable of driving where it would seem impossible to do so. Let's pay attention to the intake muffler, which is similar to a certain musical instrument. The engine is moved as close to the track as possible, this has a positive effect on the stability of the snow machine. The exhaust system consists of only one exhaust can, unlike other brands of snowmobiles. The rear suspension is supplemented with a pneumatic element, which improves the performance of the shock-absorbing system. The suspension at the rear of the snowmobile has 6 stiffness settings. To achieve this, the engine has a displacement of 1.2 liters and power output is 90 horsepower. The three-cylinder unit has a four-stroke layout, which has proven itself to be the best against the background of outdated four-stroke engines familiar from its predecessors. Among other features of the power plant, we note auxiliary components that increase the reliability and endurance of the internal combustion engine. In particular, we are talking about liquid cooling and the EFI fuel system, which is an injection system that has become a worthy replacement for the outdated carburetor fuel system. The cooling system copes with overheating of all internal combustion engine elements and prevents them from receiving thermal shock under high loads - for example, at relatively high temperatures (above zero), as well as at maximum engine speeds. As standard, the motor is equipped with an electric starter. If it breaks down in the frosty season, you can use a spare manual starter. Thus, at low temperatures the engine will start in any case.

The Rotax 120 4-TEC powerplant operates with a CVT, which has high and low gears. Also included in the basic package is a reverse function (reverse) and neutral modes. Thus, there are four gears in total, which work quite clearly, without twitching or jerking when switching to higher or lower speeds. The drive pulley in the variator is made using proprietary second-generation eDrive technology, and the driven pulley is complemented by the QRS quick response system.

The equipment was pleased with the quality of workmanship, rich equipment - for example, there is a full power package, heated steering wheel grips and gas trigger, as well as height adjustment of the seat and steering column so that you can move while standing or sitting. By the way, while standing you can drive much faster, but this reduces driver safety. The seat is covered with a special material that does not slip and is very practical, does not get dirty or wet. For the rear passenger there is a backrest that can be removed to accommodate some cargo. The car requires high-quality fuel, and I would not call it economical. Due to the large working volume, gasoline consumption can reach 25 or more liters. The car is reliable and handles well, gives driving pleasure, but requires high expenses.

But I decided to try new sensations, and it turned out not in vain. The Skido 1200 snowmobile impressed me in terms of handling and ride quality, it rides much smoother than an ATV. Plus, it's noticeably faster. Fuel consumption is about the same, as the engine constantly operates at high speeds, and sometimes it seems that it simply does not have enough power. But despite this, this device quickly reaches maximum speed. The engine displacement is 1.2 liters, which is quite a lot for a snowmobile of this level. I also liked the design of the car - stylish and strict. By the way, I have the black version – it’s such a gloomy and presentable car. Even the caterpillars are black. By the way, heated handles are provided for the passenger and driver - a small thing, but nice. In this case, you won’t have to worry about your hands at low temperatures. The windshield is set low, and because of this, the snow and wind hit me directly in the face, so a helmet is necessary here. The presence of a towbar in the basic configuration allows you to connect a sled and transport various loads. There is another trunk under the seat, and you can put anything in it, even spare parts or a gas canister. The engine consumes 92 gasoline.
  • Ruslan, Perm region. The BRP Skido Expedition 1200 snowmobile cost me 1.2 million rubles. It's not cheap, but the model is very powerful and makes for active driving. But unfortunately, the control lets us down here, which does not allow the engine to open up to its full potential. The steering wheel is too sharp and nervous, and drifts often occur. One slight movement of the steering wheel, and the snowmobile instantly turns at a large angle. I’ve been using the car recently, maybe it’s just out of habit, and maybe I need to dig into the settings. But that’s not all, because the handles and seat are too slippery for me, and there is a fear that with a sharp maneuver, my passenger and I will simply be thrown to the side, and the snowmobile will move on on its own. The windshield is at the optimal height, but you still have to wear a helmet, but it reduces visibility. And yet, at least some protection from snow and headwinds. I won’t recommend a snowmobile for purchase yet, since I haven’t fully tried it myself yet.

Ideal for fishing and hunting; I often ride on this snowfield with my family. It would seem that this is far from a sports car, but the powerful engine tells a different story.
