For whom
Here are the main features of the Honda NS 700:
- lack of plastic body kit;
- good performance for its class;
- aesthetic appearance.
This car is probably not suitable for a beginner. She is too powerful, and her character is far from the calmest. In general, the engine size itself already suggests that the Honda NC 700 will not obey an inexperienced driver. Well, if you already have experience, then the motorcycle will seem quite easy to operate.
Honda NC 700 X - comfort and efficiency
Just imagine - a combination of modern appearance, low fuel consumption, low maintenance and a competitive price. Already interested? But these are not all the advantages of the Honda NC 700 X!
Honda fans should be interested in the NC 700 S model. And for those who love further travel, a test of the NC 700 X has been prepared. We decided to check how this “700” copes in everyday use and overcoming long routes.
Modern appearance, original solutions
Visually, the Honda NC 700 X looks really good. The characteristic short “nose” under the headlight, the glass adjustable in two positions and the high position of the rider are, of course, the advantages of this design.
The most interesting solution is the placement of a 21-liter waterproof and sealed glove box in place of the fuel tank. The tank itself, in turn, went under the sofa. In this safe, useful for everyday use, you can safely hide an integral helmet or several other small items.
To get into the buffer of the fuel tank neck under the front passenger seat, you need to turn the key to the left (the gas tank cap opens) or to the right (the seat rises).
The digital LCD display conveys basic information - speed, engine speed, time and fuel level.
Above the display are color indicators, in particular, direction indicators, ABS systems, coolant level, idle speed and HISSIL immobilizer (Honda Ignition Security System).
It is impossible to find fault with the quality of plastic or paintwork - despite the low price of the motorcycle, Honda maintains the standards to which it has long accustomed its customers.
Engine: very economical
After just a few kilometers, the sound of the 700's engine and its easy running suggest that there is a six-cylinder engine running in the Honda's steel frame! Honda engineers achieved this result by moving the connecting rod shaft bushings by 270 degrees and, at the same time, changing the ignition points.
When riding in the city, you cannot complain about a lack of power or poor flexibility, because at low and medium speeds the NC 700 shows all its advantages, just like the Honda dn 01 motorcycle.
The six-cylinder single camshaft engine has been optimized to reduce frictional drag. The creators also tried to reduce the number of moving elements, an example of this is the oil pump.
The manufacturer promises us that the motorcycle will consume an average of 3.6 liters per 100 kilometers during operation. But according to the results of several tests by motorcyclists, the average fuel consumption was only 3.54 liters. If we add to this a technical inspection every 12,000 km and the need to replace spark plugs only after 48,000 km, then the Honda NC 700 X is a very economical motorcycle to use and maintain.
Comfortable position, neutral handling
The Honda NC 700 X is a capable motorcycle. In the city and on the highway, the rider will appreciate the high seating position, which makes it easier to monitor the situation on the road. The neutrally tuned suspension allows deeper gradients, and even at maximum speeds (just over 160 km/h) the motorcycle behaves stable.
High-mounted rear-view mirrors make driving in crowded cities easier, and a lower center of gravity (tank under the sofa, rotation cylinders pointing forward 62 degrees) helps with maneuvering at low speeds and when stopping.
In addition, the saddle, located at a height of 830 mm from the base, and the 218 kg weight of the ready-to-ride motorcycle (in the version with ABS) are designed for the greatest user comfort given the dimensions of the motorcycle.
For those who like to go off the main road, poor road quality will never be a problem, because the “X” version has a fairly wide suspension range (front travel 153.5 mm; rear travel -150 mm).
Competitors of the Honda NC 700 X
When looking at the Honda nc 700, associations with the Kawasaki Versus or BMW G 650 GS come to mind. Compact dimensions, slightly similar design, driving position – these are common elements for these devices. But when it comes to price, the situation is no longer so clear-cut.
Pros:
— modern design, — economical engine, — attractive price, — functional compartment.
Cons of the Honda NC 700 X: - the drive takes some getting used to, - the tachometer is difficult to read.

Article review of the Honda nc 700 motorcycle
Honda NC 700 is a typical representative of the European market. The model was specially created for Europeans and absorbed the entire mentality and needs of its future consumers. It's versatile, beautiful and durable, like a little workhorse. In addition, the bike has low fuel consumption, an adequate soft landing, and good suspension.
This motorcycle has been produced since 2012. The bike is budget and medium-sized. And by and large, everything about it is usual and standard, but there are a couple of features.
The main “dissimilarity” of the Honda NC700 from its other classmates is the availability of equipment with an automatic transmission (DCT - Dual Clutch Transmission, a system that has two clutches).
You can also choose two types of this model - Honda NC700S (naked) and Honda NC700X (enduro). The latter is considered more expensive. The price is higher due to the enduro-tourer-style fairing, increased suspension travel (for a comfortable ride on a variety of surfaces) and a small wind deflector. All versions can be purchased with manual or automatic transmission. The body of the S version has smooth lines. This immediately sets the rider up for a comfortable and easy ride. The enduro version has massive side fairings, a small windshield glass, and a handlebar similar to a Honda Crosstourer motorcycle.
Another main feature of the Honda NC700 is that for increased comfort and convenience, the bike has a huge trunk (21 liters!) in place of the gas tank; you can easily put a motorcycle helmet in it. And the fuel tank itself is located in the place of the usual “glove compartment”, just under the pilot’s seat. It would seem that it is tiny (a little more than 14 liters) and you won’t be able to travel even a hundred kilometers with it. But given the low consumption (about 4 liters per 100 km), it is not inferior to its Japanese competitors (Kawasaki ER-6, Suzuki SFV650 Gladius, Yamaha MT-07).
The Honda NC700 engine is designed to last. They also made it look like a BMW engine and lowered it parallel to the ground (the head of the block is tilted forward and the crankcase is down). Due to this, the company achieved excellent weight distribution of the motorcycle. The engine is in-line, 2-cylinder, liquid-cooled, volume - 670 cc. see and power - 52 hp, torque - 62 Nm. The motor is designed so that maximum torque is possible at the lowest speeds. At the same time, the rider does not feel sudden explosions or failures. This engine feels great in the city.
Front brakes - single disc, 320 mm, 2-piston caliper; rear brakes - one disc, 240 mm, 1-piston caliper, which is quite enough.
The seating position is comfortable and the dashboard is minimalist.
On the right control panel, in front there is an AT/MT mode switch, it can be switched even on the road. The back of the remote control has an AT sub-mode button. In the city, it is best to turn on mode D; for sporty “handling”, select mode S. Mode N is neutral. There is a MT mode switch on the left control panel. On the rider’s side there is a “-” switch, it is designed to lower the gear level of the transmission, on the other side of the remote control there is a “+” switch, when you press it we increase the gear in steps. There is also a handbrake on the right. The sound is very quiet and smooth.
The price for this motorcycle starts from 353,000 rubles for a Honda NC700S bike with mechanics. The most expensive model with an automatic costs 450,000 rubles.
Among the advantages, it is worth highlighting the reliability and simplicity of the design itself, a convenient and roomy trunk that can easily fit a helmet and other small items, efficiency and low price. Honda NC700 is a reliable horse, with the most modern technologies. It is perfect for beginners choosing their first motorcycle. The overall picture is spoiled only by the sensitive suspension.
On the road the bike behaves easily and balanced. You can ride it slowly without losing your balance. The model has locomotive traction, does not goat and brakes well. If something happens, ABS will definitely protect you. The mirrors on the motorcycle are excellent - they give a good overview and allow you to ride between the aisles.
