Maintenance of the Irbis 150 LUX ATV

ATV Irbis 150, like other ATVs, needs timely maintenance. The first service of the Irbis 150 is carried out when the ATV has driven 300

kilometers. Let's start the maintenance by changing the oil in the all-terrain vehicle engine. Before draining the used oil, it is necessary to warm up the engine to operating temperature. After 10 minutes of warming up, turn off the engine and you can unscrew the drain plug at the bottom of the engine. The plug contains a spring and an oil filter. Before installation, the drain plug and filter must be washed, because... metal microparticles collect in them. After installing the oil drain plug, you can fill the ATV engine with new oil. We strongly recommend that you fill the Irbis 150 ATV engine exclusively with Motul ATV POWER 4T SAE 5W40 engine oil. This oil is designed directly for four-stroke ATV engines, which are operated at extremely high speeds when overcoming various off-road obstacles. The next maintenance, namely changing the engine oil, is carried out every 2 thousand kilometers or once a year. So: pour oil into the ATV engine according to the level on the dipstick. We tighten the dipstick and start the engine. Let the engine idle for 2-3 minutes and turn off the engine. After a few minutes, you need to check the engine oil level in the engine again and top it up if necessary, because the oil has filled all the channels in the engine and the level has correspondingly become lower. The Irbis 150 LUX ATV is equipped with a four-stroke Chinese engine 1P57QMJ, the volume of engine oil in it is 800 mg. Also in this engine the transmission oil in the gearbox is replaced. Thread locker comes in different purposes and differs in color. We need a blue fixative. At the end of the maintenance of the Irbis 150 LUX ATV, we make sure to change the fuel filter and also wash the air filter element in kerosene and impregnate it with a special impregnation, which helps to better capture dust microparticles that enter the cylinder of the Irbis 150 engine with the gasoline mixture.

1. I have owned this ATV for about 2 years. At the beginning, the technology brought only positive impressions and emotions, but then everything changed. There were cases when a wheel flew off, the frame burst, the body cracked, etc. In short, the quality still leaves much to be desired. Its operational life depends entirely on the conditions of use, so it is very difficult to name it. If you use the ATV in a gentle mode, then the equipment will be in good working order for a long time, but if on the contrary, you will have to regularly buy spare parts. The frame also introduces its own limitations, namely, with a large driver’s weight, various damage may occur, and if it is also loaded, the frame may burst. In principle, for the money the model is quite normal, but in terms of stability it’s generally superb.
2. I have been wanting to buy myself an ATV for quite some time. Fortunately, among the advertisements I came across a very budget-friendly and, at first glance, good ATV. Irbis ATV 150 fully justified the investment. I am very pleased with the equipment, I use it both for riding in the forest and for fishing, both in summer and winter. In all this time, the model has not let me down even once, except that all-wheel drive is not enough, since it sometimes cannot handle off-road conditions. But at its price, I think this is not such a disadvantage. Mud can be a problem, but I solved this problem by widening the fenders by installing an old rubber mat.
