ATVs Baltmotors ATV 700, 500, 400 - technical specifications

The Armada ATV 150 ATV is a modern utilitarian model with small compact dimensions and a fairly powerful power plant. This all-terrain vehicle can be used to perform any household work, since it has two spacious luggage platforms (front and rear). In addition, the ATV can also be used for recreational trips, such as driving through forested and rough terrain, fields and light off-road conditions. The Armada ATV 150 is not entirely suitable for sports driving; in this case, its capabilities are limited by insufficient engine power.

The ATV is quite easy to operate, so even a beginner can handle it. This is primarily due to the presence of an automatic transmission system with a variator, which smoothly changes gears depending on the driving mode.

Serial production of the Armada ATV 150 is carried out by a well-known Chinese company specializing in the manufacture of various motorcycles. This manufacturer has been producing both motorcycles and many components and assemblies for quite a long time. All manufactured products are of high quality, which, together with the high-tech manufacturing process, ensures increased reliability. The design of the ATV uses high-strength materials, and the plastic elements of the body are made of high-quality plastic.

The model is equipped with a single-cylinder four-stroke gasoline engine with a displacement of 149 cubic meters. The maximum power of the unit reaches 9.3 kilowatts, which translates to 13 horsepower. The maximum torque is 10 newtons per meter. With a relatively small weight of the ATV, such indicators provide the vehicle with excellent traction and allow it to overcome difficult obstacles, including steep climbs.

Good afternoon. Tell me, has anyone used the Baltmotors Striker 500 EFI? Should I take it as my first quad?

Among the advantages I see is the PTS (category A license and driving on public roads), the injector and the price.

How are things with reliability and spare parts from this manufacturer?

Until it breaks, everything will be good. BM quadrics are not particularly in demand, there are not many spare parts, the cost of spare parts is high (when compared with direct competitors Stealth and SF). Again, why do you need a quad? If you drive on special stages and primers, then you will encounter the first repair in 2-3 years, if you measure fords and flounder in the mud, then within a year something will break.

If you don’t have category A from the traffic police, then I wouldn’t particularly look at the PTS, the PTM is no worse, you’ll just need an A1 category from the traffic police, not the traffic police, that’s the whole difference, again in the future you’ll want to take a snowflake, but they are not available with PTS :) you will still have to take A1 to the State Tax Service.

I was also puzzled by Stryker. precisely because driving on primers + extras. I don’t plan to marry *Aries yet. In the summer, the village needs a helper with housework. UTM stupidly have no time to receive

Category A exists, so “get money at the cash register, sit down and go” is very attractive

It doesn’t make you feel good, but for others, on the contrary, it even makes you happy. He probably comes to you in nightmares. That's why you're afraid of him. :Biggreen:

I have owned the VM700 for several years, if I had to choose again, considering everything over the years, I would choose it again

— Baltmotors or Khaisan 700. But Baltmotors is better, something is different and for the better. The 700cc engine is simply fire, there is so much traction that it starts from high gear in any conditions. Spare parts are available in any store and 80% are suitable for a bunch of other types of equipment. In general, everything is quite reliable. The motor, by the way, was copied from Yamaha, as well as the gearbox and chassis.

For many years, I have never seen an alternative to the VM (Hi Sun) 700 ATV. There are no competitors in its price segment and none are expected yet. I am very glad that I did not make a mistake with my choice at the time. :Good:

  1. The Armada ATV 150 ATV is not designed for dirt; it is most suitable for driving on the beach, fields and some forests. I bought it mainly because of its cost. After buying it, I only rode on clean areas, but then I got bored. The model performed quite well in the forest; it can travel everywhere thanks to its small size. I only had positive impressions of this ATV for the first year, but in the second year malfunctions and breakdowns began. The first breakdown occurred upon returning home from the forest. The chain broke and I had to push the ATV home. The next problem was starter failure. The service center said that the starter did not work because the brake wire fell off. Okay, fixed it. Later the ignition switch failed, so they also decided to replace it. The speedometer shows no signs of life at all. In principle, the equipment is not bad for the money, but only for beginners and only for one season.
  2. The first time I rode this model, I thought it would be a little harder to handle than other ATVs. It turned out that the equipment was quite easy to operate. I purchased it not for personal use, but for rental. The model worked for several seasons and at the same time I rode a couple of times myself. In principle, it pulls quite well, but the speed is still low, as one would expect from a 150 cc car. In terms of replacement, only new wheels were installed, since the tread on the standard ones had worn out.

Instead of a tractor and a Niva. Test drive of the Baltmotors ATV 700 EFI ATV

Everyone goes crazy in their own way: one spends his evenings delving into the archives of the National Library, another goes hunting or fishing every weekend, and the third disappears in the gym. But everyone is united by the desire to switch, to take a break from the information noise that creeps into our lives from everywhere: from computer monitors, phone screens, car speakers. One of these “antidepressants” is the ATV. Something little known in our country, which makes it even more attractive. Today ABW.BY is testing the Baltmotors ATV 700 EFI ATV.

Belarus, of course, is not Finland, where even children drive quads to school; in our country, driving such vehicles on public roads is simply prohibited. But the number of ATVs is gradually growing, mainly, of course, due to used ones, but dealers are also offering something in the camp of new equipment. For example, Baltmotors ATV 700 EFI. What kind of animal? If we take a brief look at the technical specifications, we have at our disposal a 700 cc fuel-injected engine with a power of 42 hp, all-wheel drive, CVT

Regular readers know that we quite actively test new Chinese and used Japanese motorcycles. The Belarusian “Chinese” M1NSK C4 250 visited us for a resource test, this summer we began to test the Belarusian moped, which we nicknamed “the hole”, and drove a city bike from the same Baltmotors in the tail and mane. And in almost all the materials we came to the conclusion that “China” and “China” are different. After all, it is known that Baltmotors does not develop motor vehicles from scratch. Rather, the plant selects models produced at Chinese enterprises to meet market needs, if necessary, adapts them to our conditions, equips them with certain components and markets them under its brand. So this time we have a “hodgepodge” before us. But more on that a little later, but for now.

We need to get going somehow. Even a person who is far from motorcycling can get used to the controls, but ATVs still have some special features. Gas trigger? Exactly! The right handle on the steering wheel is rigidly fixed, but the front brake is located here, and a little to the left, under the thumb, there is a block with a button for connecting the front drive. It’s convenient that you can “throw” the front end while driving - there’s no need to stop. Already in the base, the ATV is equipped with a front differential lock.

On the left is the rear brake handle, which, however, can be activated with a paw under the right foot, as well as a light control unit. You can reach all the buttons without any problems, except that you have difficulty hitting the low-hanging horn, especially if you are driving on a bumpy road. The control unit for the electric winch is also located here.

The “tidy” is simple, but it displays the most important information. In the upper liquid crystal part there is a speedometer and tachometer, a clock, a mileage counter and an indication of the connected all-wheel drive. And if on a sunny day questions may arise here, the bottom row of signal lamps is as simple as possible and is easier to read. The transmission control lever is located near the left leg. To move it from one position to another, you need to squeeze the rear brake - a kind of foolproof protection.

Are we going? No, we're extinguishing! Forgive me for such language, but as soon as a person gets used to it a little, the ATV turns into a provocateur - you just want to throw on the gas. Especially when there are 700 “cubes” under you. Most of the way we rode together, and there was always enough gas under the trigger, always and everywhere. We didn’t accelerate to the declared maximum 90 km/h (after all, the instinct of self-preservation and the family waiting at home work), but the rush to 60-70 km/h on any surface is a thrill.

How do pendants work? Great. Both front and rear are “double-lever” with decent moves. In touring mode, we never felt like the suspension was struggling. Owners of inferior, cheap ATVs often complain that after 20-30 kilometers of “grabbing” on dirt roads, the shock absorbers begin to give in, the suspension stiffens, and stops handling bumps. We didn’t feel anything like that at this Baltmotors.

If you really want to, you can even plant a crawler excavator. But the advantage of ATVs is that often even one person can get it out of captivity. And what? He turned on the “lower” gear, blocked the front end, got off himself - and forward. You can try and go into the swing. Although we note that with such an ATV (dry weight - 319 kg) it is easier to do this with two people.

ATVs are a piece of equipment that you just want to dive head over heels into. But even “quadras” suffer from water procedures. Firstly, you need an eye and an eye behind the frame - we didn’t notice any crime on this particular example, but it seems that no additional processing has been superfluous for any Chinese technology. Secondly, it wouldn’t hurt to start injecting the suspension after such procedures. Another plus for Baltmotors is the grease fittings that the plant equips its ATVs with already on the assembly line.

Pricing

On the Belarusian market, the Baltmotors ATV 700 EFI ATV is offered at a price of 13,200 rubles. A towbar and electric winch with a towing capacity of 3,500 lbs (1,589 kg) come standard.

So what's the bottom line? I have no experience of participating in the trophy, but, according to people in the topic, such tough tests are capable of either seriously prepared or branded Japanese equipment. And after one day in the Baltmotors ATV 700 EFI company, I will not argue with them. Even the fact that this ATV is "built with Hisun parts" won't convince me. Still, sports competitions and tourist rides have little in common. But as a recreational ATV it’s an excellent device. The engine is more than enough, there is enough suspension even taking into account the rider and passenger on board. The question, as always, is price and service. Because not everyone can afford to buy even a new ATV for $6,500. For this money, a prudent Belarusian will buy either a Niva or a small tractor. Or he will look for options among used ATVs in the ad database. But that’s the thing about ATVs: this technique is not for the prudent.

The editors of ABW.BY would like to thank baltmotors.by for providing the ATV for testing.

Notes in the margins

As they say, “five for the invention, but bad for the subject.” According to the developers, we have a convenient glove compartment in the shape of a glass with a sealed lid, which should protect valuables and documents. But it turns out that because of the metal holding chain, the niche is covered in rye.

Chinese Wanda brand tires, unknown to the general public, turned out to be surprisingly balanced. They stayed in puddles with an abundance of clay for quite a long time before the tread finally became “washy.”

Of course, the test ATV was far from new; it feels like it was run-in under harsh conditions. However, the backrest fell off not because of our persistence, but because of the frankly flimsy design. By the way, according to one of the stickers, the ATV is not designed to carry even one passenger. Then why the backrest and such a long seat?

In addition to the electric starter, there is a manual start handle.

Baltmotors ATV owner reviews

Daniel, thank you for raising the topic.

Based on requests and comments from users, equipment is modernized and improved.

On most ATVs, the radiator does not have side protection. It is designed for better cooling and ease of cleaning. The equipment is operated in very harsh conditions and dirt always clogs the radiator. Some users make and install shields themselves, but the radiator still gets clogged with dirt. Without shields, the radiator is easier to clean after use. With the shields installed, you have to remove the radiator more often to thoroughly clean it from dirt.

Perhaps you have communicated with all-terrain vehicles of the first releases. Later, a larger diameter fan was installed on all ATVs and a protective grille was added to the front.

During extreme use, the radiator is usually placed in the front trunk. We have radiator extension kits for sale https://baltmotors.ru/accs/22/vynos_radiatora_jumbo_70..

On short ATVs, the fuel tap is indeed not located in the most easily accessible place. Therefore, on long ATVs it was moved to a more accessible place and the design was changed. The new valve switches much easier than on short ATVs. It has only two positions and once you switch it, you remember in which position it is open and in which it is closed. Both positions are extreme. You won't be able to "miss" them.

On utilitarian ATVs, the sidewalls are always covered with plastic cladding. So that less dirt gets on the units and less dirt gets on the driver. Coverings must always be removed for repairs or maintenance. This is fine.

Article on the topic: Haer washing machines reviews from owners

At the request of users, the self-tapping screws for fastening the cladding were replaced with screws. When installed correctly, they do not unscrew or get lost. If during installation you do not “hit the thread” or the “clip” is bent, then the screws may come out and get lost. It is necessary to be more careful when disassembling/assembling plastic.

It is not possible to change the design of the frame or air filter at this time. All-terrain vehicles are supplied to many countries and the design of the filter and frame is “tightly” prescribed in various certificates. They cannot be changed. Considering that the filter in rare cases requires frequent maintenance, for now you will have to be patient and accept it.

New ATVs from Baltmotors

Baltmotors is by no means a newcomer to the ATV market. It was thanks to the efforts of this VM 500 that they sold a decent amount of copies in Russia. But since their manufacturer CF-Moto itself began selling these quads under various brands, the Kaliningraders changed the supplier. However, he is still from China. Now there are two new models in the line.

BAMBOO BEAR Panda ATV 500 in general technical solutions is close to the Yamaha Grizzly 660. The same design of independent front and rear suspensions. Connectable front-wheel drive with differential lock and CVT with reduction gear. The ATV engine is also made in the image and likeness of the single-cylinder carburetor “Japanese”. Its cooling system is liquid, with a high-mounted radiator and electric fan.

This means that the number two does not need to look over the pilot’s shoulder, and such troubles as helmets knocking against each other are excluded. The rear seat itself is made quick-release - if you need to carry cargo, then a large luggage rack becomes accessible. The 22-liter fuel tank is located at the rear of the frame to reduce the center of gravity and improve weight distribution.

The utility vehicle is equipped with the entire set of road lighting equipment, i.e. turn signals, brake lights, sound signal and rear-view mirrors. This means that, given the existing confusion in the legislation, you can, having a license plate obtained from Gostekhnadzor, a technical inspection, compulsory motor liability insurance and a tractor driver’s license, go on the roads. Except, of course, those that fall within the coverage area of the “Road for Passenger Cars” and “Tractor Traffic Prohibited” signs, as well as highways.

Article on the topic: Playme p500 tetra owner reviews

The basic equipment of this ATV includes a nameless winch, a tow bar, and a full set of alloy skid plates and levers. All this at a price of approximately 250 thousand rubles. A developed dealer network and a large warehouse of spare parts should, in theory, ensure that there are no problems with maintenance. But how often you will have to contact the dealer for repairs is, in general, a clear question. No, no, no bias - it’s just that not a single ATV, even from a renowned manufacturer, can withstand extreme operating conditions for a long time. And for Chinese technology, we change the word “not for long” to “very short.” Of course, with reasonable tourist use, there will most likely be a minimum of troubles, because quality control directly at the Chinese factory is carried out by several Russian engineers.

What I liked was the comfort. Large suspension travels, decent handling and at the same time no shaking or swaying. The engine lacks traction at low speeds, but in the middle of the range there is a cheerful pickup. It’s just a pity that engine braking is not implemented in any way. Well, the overall impression in a nutshell is this: an affordable, pleasant-on-the-go walking quad.

Specifications

Before purchasing Baltmotors ATV ATVs, you need to pay attention to their technical characteristics; it is important to analyze the features of the frame and chassis. It is also worth assessing the overall dimensions, weight, fuel consumption and speed. To do this, you need to know the functionality of the power unit, transmission, chassis and brakes.

Frame and chassis

ATVs use elastic independent front and rear suspensions. They are equipped with spring-loaded shock absorbers. This ensures that vehicles move smoothly.

The driver has the opportunity to adjust the suspension stiffness in accordance with the road on which he intends to operate the ATV.

The vehicle frame is made of reliable materials - steel pipes welded together. The metal elements of the body are protected by elastic plastic parts that are able to absorb impacts and soften them.

The vehicle frame is made of reliable materials

Dimensions and weight

Main overall dimensions of most models:

  • length – 2000-2500 mm;
  • width – 1000-1500 mm;
  • height – 1100-1300 mm.

The dry weight of ATVs is in the range of 300-600 kg.

Fuel consumption and speed

The average speed of Baltmotors ATV ATV models is approximately 11 liters per 100 kilometers.

The maximum speed that vehicles can reach reaches 80 km/h.

Engine

The Baltmotors ATV models are equipped with four-stroke engines, characterized by a liquid cooling system. They are equipped with a special device for fuel injection from Delphi (USA).

Four-stroke engines are installed on Baltmotors ATV models

The power units of Baltmotors ATV ATVs are easy to start at any ambient temperature, no matter what altitude the vehicle is at.

The power and efficiency of motors are often one of the main reasons why many buyers choose the company’s equipment.

Transmission

The manufacturer equipped Baltmotors ATV ATVs with all-wheel drive transmissions. They have separate front wheel connections and a front differential locking system. This improves the grip of the wheels on the surface on which the vehicle is standing. That is why the cross-country ability of ATVs is very significant.

Chassis and brakes

The manufacturer installed automatic gearboxes on all Baltmotors ATV ATVs. CVT devices allow you to transfer optimal traction from the engine to the wheels.

The low gearing of the box ensures confident movement even on steep climbs. In addition, with such a system it is quite easy to tow very heavy loads.

Automatic gearboxes are installed on all Baltmotors ATVs

MATERIAL PART: PANDA UTV 500MAX

FOR THE COMPANY The second new model of Baltmotors - UTV 500MAX side-by-side - is unique due to its four-seater capacity (in principle, Polaris and Kawasaki produce something similar, but they cost several times more and are not supplied to us). Not only the driver and passenger sit on it shoulder to shoulder, but also two more on the “bench.” The power frame and three-point seat belts make this almost a car very safe. Moreover, there is also a spacious dump-type body equipped with an electric drive for things. The engine here is a 500cc engine from CF-Moto, the same one that was in the previous VM 500. Surprisingly, the engine has enough traction to drag four passengers and a load in the back weighing about a hundred kilograms. The transmission is all-wheel drive with a locked front differential, and the variator also offers a choice of downshifts. The suspension is independent, with the rear one using two gas-oil shock absorbers per wheel.

What is this toy for? Trips to pick mushrooms, pick berries, and generally into nature with four or even five of us, and with a bunch of other stuff. Well, at a price of 350,000 rubles, including a winch, this is a worthy alternative to a budget SUV, because such an all-terrain vehicle is not afraid of scratches, and it is not very difficult to pull it out of the mud.
